My kitchen was original 1956 awful! My cabinets were poor quality pine with the finish worn off, I had very little counter space and what cupboards I had were not all accessible. I didn't have a dishwasher or garbage disposal, and was hesitant about installing a dishwasher and losing what little cupboard space I had. This situation was especially frustrating to me since I am a baker and create wedding cakes! I used to have to put a folding card table in the middle of my already-too-small kitchen to work on. As I look back, I don't know how I endured these conditions for so many years! (over 15!) I checked Angie's List for contractors in my area and spotted Ohio Home Improvement. They had an "A" rating, no complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and the reviews are absolutely glowing! When I met with Mike Eid, OHI 's owner, he spent a lot of time talking to me, understanding what it was I needed and wanted out of my kitchen. When he showed me the drawings a few days later, I knew that he had really listened. He had designed my absolute Dream Kitchen! Now every inch was efficiently used. I was gaining 7 new cabinets and 6 additional feet of counters, plus the dishwasher that I never had before! I was so excited to begin the job! On the day the job started, Mike introduced me to his team: 4 of the nicest and most professional guys I would ever hope to meet. From the first day, they all made me feel as if me and my kitchen remodel job were the most important things in the world. They worked well together as a team, almost orchestrated. They did not take unnecessary breaks, they worked full days, and kept the dust over the rest of the house to a minimum. At the end of every day, they cleaned up and put away their work area. I was so impressed! Every step of the project was met with my approval before they moved on to the next. My entire kitchen had to be gutted and rewired to bring the electric up to code. It was scary to discover that I could have had a fire with faulty wiring they discovered. A gas line had to be moved across the room, and a wall taken out and replaced. This was a major job to me, but obviously not a big deal to Ohio Home Improvement! The finished product is breath-taking! Everything I dreamed of and more! Such fine craftsmanship! I absolutely love my new kitchen. I can`t believe it is the same house! It sure has the WOW factor now! The before and after photos are incredible. Two of my friends scheduled jobs with Ohio Home Improvement after they saw my new kitchen, and I`m sure there will be more to come.

The Best Shower of My Life! I am usually a D.I.Y kind of guy, so having to hire someone outside of my comfort zone wasn't particularly easy.I recently had a plumbing issue rear its ugly head above my dining room directly below my upstairs bathroom. Lack of knowledge and experience were really keeping me from tackling the issue. I am pretty resilient to hiring someone when I can do the project myself. However, I have found out that life has become much too busy to take care of projects much past changing a light bulb or a door knob these days. This led me to search for the right guys to do the job. I contacted Mike at Ohio Home Improvement and he promptly made an extra trip to my home to inspect the damage. It was " love" at first sight. The guy was incredibly professional, polite, direct, and PUNCTUAL! His first impression was very lasting. The crew at Ohio Home Improvement followed suit. The guys were always polite to my wife and I. It was always a please, thank you, yes maam', yes sir kind of relationship. Incredible professionalism. They always kept in contact with me to keep me updated on problems and progress of the project, even sending me pictures, and never made a move unless I approved. This I appreciated, so there was never any " oh, by the way" moments. They walked me through it step by step, I knew these guys were credible professionals. They explained everything down to the last detail. They had saved us from a much larger catastrophe. They were always punctual, cleaned after every work day, and we never knew they were there after the job was completed. It looks better than it ever did! They matched the paint perfectly. After the job was completed, they made sure we undeniably satisfied with their work. During the project, I had the displeasure of witnessing the extent of the issue and had to admit it was beyond my capability and knew I had made the right decision choosing Ohio Home Improvement. They gave me satisfaction, peace of mind, and the best shower of my life! I will be contacting Mike and the guys at Ohio Home Improvement for my needs in the future. My wife and I were so impressed and appreciative of their Integrity, professionalism and craftsmanship. Everyone has a friend with a disaster story about burst pipes, storm damage, plumbing failures, or any number of possible problems. You listen to their stories, commiserate with their problems, and hope you are not the next one. Unfortunately,our turn came up while spending Thanksgiving weekend with family. Our cat sitter came in to the kitchen floor under water, water seeping onto the carpet in the adjoining room, and water destroying the utility room beneath the kitchen. We came home to plastic walls encasing the damaged rooms with drying equipment sopping up the mess. Where to start? The recovery process began with the insurance company and moves to the construction companies. As is typical in these situation, we talked to more than one company, companies we had heard about (ignoring the insurance company?s suggestion of their builder.) The difference in construction companies was immediately obvious. Mike Eid, owner of Ohio Home Improvement, came over to our house and took the time to walk through the property, describe exactly what damage, both visible and hidden had occurred, and what would be involved in fixing it properly. Not just cosmetically, but structurally to make our house safe and sturdy. He also explained what we could expect from the insurance company and what problems we might encounter. Mike, and his floor supplier Todd, also took the time to discuss various supply options and find out how we really wanted our house to look after the reconstruction work was finished. No one else did?other companies just sent a 10-page contract to sign without any explanations. At exactly the date and time discussed, Don and Jeremy, and later Bill, were at the house to start work. Working from early morning until 6 pm for days, they did not stop until the work was completed. They are perfectionists?tiles cut to perfectly around the basement floor drain, carpet edges cut to align with our new kitchen floor, insulated fittings on our new water heater, and more. As valuable as the work is the total trust I felt with everyone from Ohio Home Improvement. Trust to the point that I left my door unlocked on days they were working. I never felt the need to supervise or check on the work or my stuff. Whatever they needed to do, whenever they needed to come and go was totally acceptable. No one wants a disaster. But my disaster turned into delight with wonderful improvements to my kitchen and basement. Now I want to tackle the rest of my house and there is only one phone call I will make to get the process started.

First I want to say it is pretty remarkable when your master bathroom is better than a five star luxury resort! We chose Ohio Home Improvement to remodel our master bathroom and are so glad we did. From the first time they came to our home, we knew they were the best and most qualified for the job. They were extremely knowledgeable, caring, professional and punctual. The same great guys worked every day from start to finish. It was really nice knowing that they only worked on one project at a time. Our project manager explained everything to us before they left each day and what they would be doing the next day. They always made time for our questions and when we asked, they made wonderful recommendations based on their vast experience. During the master bath project, we saw what a fantastic job they were doing and added more work - the master bedroom and other bathroom . They gave us an honest price and were able to complete the additional work within the timeframe they promised. We have since referred them to our friends and family. Thanks to OHI we had the best possible experience we could ask for. We're making our list of new projects and will be calling them soon!

It went well. They started on the agreed date and worked everyday (Monday - Friday) until it was finished. They kept me updated about the status of the work and any issues that came up. Going in and out of the house they kept the area clean and orderly. When the job was complete they made sure everything was finished and met my expectations.

It went really well. They were very considerate of the house, they kept everything clean, put down tarps, made sure to clean up after every day, covered anything that could have gotten dust on it since there was a lot of drywall dust, and very polite.

This project involved completely stripping an old bathroom down to the studs and building it back up again. Every fixture was removed from the ceiling to the floor tile. The tub, toilet, sink and vanity were all removed. The light fixtures, faucets, towel bars, and electrical outlets were all taken away. We soon discovered that much of the plumbing would need to be replaced, too. There was, however, nothing they discovered that surprised them or stymied them about how to proceed. They found iron pipes that were choked with sediment, indicating why water pressure and slow drains had been a problem. There was a six-inch layer of concrete under the two layers of flooring. Probably the best feature of the project itself were the two men working in our home. They were more than courteous, adapted to any situation we had going on in the house, and very conscientious about making the project as easy on us as possible. The tile work on the floor and in the shower is beautiful. The wall finishes are exactly what we wanted. The water pressure is greatly improved, and they kept working on the drain problems until the sink basin now empties quickly. The fact that they were also able to anticipate problems that might arise speaks to their expertise. And one of the most impressive aspects of their work, for me, was their attitude toward my wife and me as the homeowners. They were never too busy to take a moment to answer a question, explain a possible problem, or communicate with us about a change in how they were doing the job. I had absolutely no hesitation about going out of town for a few days, leaving them in the house to finish the work. It has been great to have the project complete, but we do miss having them around!

Company came over, looked at the bathroom and kept pushing and pushing that we should just remodel our whole bathroom, rather than just the tile on our bath/shower surround. At the end there was this really strange questionnaire which felt like a job interview. It was just over the top ("what do you look for in a contractor", etc.) with the questions and came off as really awkward. The guy who came out told me that he would email me the quote "after reviewing what needed to be done". I never signed anything (thankfully) and then he never emailed me. I wasn't going to follow up with it because I know the price was going to be MUCH higher than we budgeted for a modest remodel in our tub area.

Any time I had questions about the project the owner Mike Eid always got back to me the same day. Don and Jeremy were very professional and thorough and polite and did great work. They took the time to answer all my questions. I really appreciated that.

First day or so, good, then when the sub floor was installed it was not level, requested a smooth ceiling, came home from work and the ceiling was textured, the salesman contact statement was : It's not even done yet and that's how we do our ceiling's! explanation from the foreman was: because of the pre-existing ceiling it had to be textured and the floor the same as far as leveling, the owner(OHI) made the statement in order to do a smooth ceiling it would've had to been gutted, I stated, then why wasn't I told this before you accepted the job, there was no apparent answer accept well we've gone this far, don't worry we will make you happy. 1.The back splash does not meet the bottom of the raised counter, but according to the O. H. I., that's the way it should be. 2. The main counter top is high on the rear left corner by a .5" therefore throwing off the level and the so called "that's the way it should be" gap between the raised counter and the main counter back splash, O.H.I. stated " Well we can't take it out now", so they put a black molding under the raised counter to cover the issue up. 3. The right side top cabinets are not squared to the soffit 4. the NEW counter tops have minor scratches 5. They are in the process of replacing three of the cabinet doors that are of poor quality 6. Refinished wall surface next to sink is poor and obvious. 7. One day after textured ceiling was completed it was cracking, repaired upon request 8. Clear silicone on counter top seams is not clear. 9. I requested that they should purchase a dust bag for the vacuum they were using because my other two rooms with antique furniture was covered with dust along with everything else Overall every time I questioned them about the issues at hand they preferred to make excuses instead of sticking to O.H.I.'s policies. My impression of O.H.I. as far as a motto is, promise just about everything to get the job, rush to get it done, and have the home owner sign the documents and pay you before the owner really thinks about the final outcome I did ask the owner of O.H.I., before I signed and paid him, do you think your workmanship justifies this amount of money I'm paying you, his answer was "somebody else would charge more", and yes I think it does.

Ohio Home Improvement did a remodel of our master bathroom shower, toilet room, tub and floor and resealed the kitchen floor us. The shower and Jacuzzi tub were gutted and replaced with new ceramic tile and a free standing tub. A new toilet was installed. A new ceramic tile floor replaced the worn vinyl one. They began this project within a week of me calling them after another contractor we had hired had to cancel our job. They were very attentive to our situation and very professional. They communicated with me constantly throughout the project via text or telephone. I could call my project manager with any concerns or information which made the whole redo go much more smoothly. Throughout the job everyone was polite and concientious about our home. They cleaned up daily and kept the construction dust and debris confined as best as one could expect. We have had numerous constuction projects on our home over the 27 years that we have owned it and Ohio Home Improvement has been one of the best contractors we have ever worked with. Our bathroom is everything and more than what we asked for.

Don and his crew David and Jacob worked efficiently together. They arrived on time and worked thru out the day. They were pleasant to talk to and were informative in discussing the project. The work area was cleaned up after the days work and what had been completed reviewed.

Ohio Home Improvement were very punctual. I like them very well. They did a very thorough job on the estimate. I didn't get any services done yet. They gave me some good ideas. They were good on price. They got back to me on time, when they said they would. He knew a lot about remodeling, because there were a couple of things that I wanted to do and the other three companies I got estimates from said they could do it. But he pointed out something that made it impossible to do that, which I could see, once he explained it to me. He was the only one who actually caught that. I was pretty impressed with that. He had some very good ideas and it worked for what I wanted and also what the house could do, structurally.

Excellent communications, punctual, honest, and professional.

OHI did a great job as always. This was our third major project, the first was a kitchen and bathroom remodel. The second was building a deck and garage. We are very happy with the results of every project and if we had anything else to remodel we would call OHI. Mike and crew are punctual, professional and thorough. They kept us informed of progress and any unexpected problems on a daily basis. If anything was unsatisfactory, corrections were made promptly without complaint or additional cost. Communication is superb, better than anyone we ever hired. As far as pricing goes, you get what you pay for and we are thrilled with how our house has been transformed. OHI has the most professional, polite workers I've ever encountered.

I used them on late April. I thought they were really great and it was a hard choice between Them with the kitchen and bath. They're prices were very reasonable. I used the other company to have an easier way to get the project done on my terms as far as payments were concerned.

Overall the project went well. The price was slightly high but fair and the quality of the work was good. The project took roughly two weeks to complete and the crew was very professional. I would recommend the company to others.

After screening several local companies online (including checking BBB) & via e-mails, I scheduled in person meetings with 3 and OHI was the clear winner in my eyes. Clear expectations were set upfront but they were also flexible as the project morphed over time as I honed on in to what was important to me & they discovered additional structural flaws in my aging property. Their crew was professional yet warm, each interaction only made me more confident in my selection. I was new to the home improvement world & several times they coached me away from more expensive choices (not all of which I followed) & they were accommodating for the areas of the home I did decide to go full out on working with a specialty tile manufacturer. These projects spanned 6 weeks and I was out of state for the majority of the time but with excellent communication we were able to work together & completely transform a slightly dilapidated & neglected space into a structurally sound modern oasis. I have 2 other projects to complete later this year & there's no doubt I will be using OHI.

I made an appointment with this company and they did show up as promised. They took measurements to replace a very large front door (I already had purchased the door). They told me they would call the next day with a quote for the work. I never heard from them again. Clearly they are unreliable and unprofessional.

I will have them back to do more work. The two men were very observant about anything that could be a problem and showed me, They cleaned up very well and did a very good job for me.

My home is only 5 years old-the front door frame was cracked, moldy and inside flooring was getting destroyed. The sidelights and transom were also leaking. The manufacturer would not honor the warranty stating it was installation issue, and with the builder out of business, I was left to fix it. I contacted Ohio Home Improvement who came out to the home within the week to go over issues to determine course of action. It was determined that the entire front entry system will need to be replaced, including replacing the damaged hardwood floors, frame, and possibly the subfloors, joists, and whatever else water had damaged. The next few weeks I picked out my new front door (sticker shock!!) and within 5 weeks my front door was ready to be installed. They scheduled it immediately! They found the root cause of the damage (none of my windows were sealed) and fixed the problem. The men were dressed,conducted themselves, and worked professionally. They were on time, respectful, and worked HARD! They did not smoke, swear, or have inappropriate conversations while on the job site, which i really appreciate. They were even nice to my dogs and didn't get upset when the dogs interrupted their work every now and again!I am extremely impressed with the quality of service provided. I did not feel uncomfortable with the men at my home and they answered all my questions and let me inspect the work (and damage to be fixed)...They went above and beyond my expectations-all debris was cleaned up and hauled away (didn't use my trash bins!), they made sure that everything was left in the same (actually better) shape than before (outside the contract like walls/trim). The estimate was accurate and didn't go over budget and it was worth every penny! I can't wait to start my next project and will definitely use Ohio Home Improvement! Thanks Mike and Don, and crew!

Ohio Home Improvement performed some remodeling that included installing new Pella Windows for our home. The price was very fair and they demonstrated professionalism and was punctual throughout the entire project. They kept my husband and I abreast daily of the progress and shared with us exactly what they were doing each day to complete the project on-time and within our budget. We would definitely hire them again for our home improvement projects.

Great Kitchen Remodling Proffesional. From the demolition, to the drywall, paint, trim, cabinets and countertops they really did a great job. Employees were very nice, well mannered, well dressed and showed up when the said they would. We are very happy. Thank you!

The owner, Mike, took some time to explain things before the work started and it ended up taking less time then we thought. Workers were clean cut and professional.

The job started the week of Christmas, so it started slowly due to the holidays, but once they got started I was amazed how quickly the old deck came down and the new foundation was built. The walls and roof were done in a day, then the insulation and drywall. They often gave me ideas to make the Sunroom more to my liking. They were always on time, put in a great day's work, and very professional. Their workmanship was "FANTASTIC".... I could hardly believe how quickly they were able to put in the windows and doors.... the insulation and drywall came next, simultaneously with the roofing. There were between 2-6 men every day. The ceramic tile on the floor is awesome, and I finally got to see how a spackled ceiling was done, and loved the job they did for me. They cleaned up every day, and I almost cried one day because it was coming together so quickly, and so professionally... TOTALLY FLAWLESS! They put vinyl siding all around, and it matched my home perfectly. I have only high regard and praise for everything they did.
