Wonderfully--I fell in love with my house again. My living and dining room areas are bright and beautiful with the ceilings and walls repaird and painted to perfection--I feel comfortable welcoming guests again. I love my kitchen, especially the way Don aligned the tiles on the kitchen wall to perfectly complement the granite counter tops that have completely changed my kitchen. Also, I not longer dread working in my basement. It has been transformed into a lovely environment with tiled floors, pastel walls, and white wood work more reminiscent of a Caribbean island than a dreary Ohio winter. From the beginning of our relationship, I knew everyone at Ohio Home Improvement had my best interests in mind. We talked, or rather they listened, and then they came back with suggestions and a plan that really worked. Once we agreed on a schedule, they were here every day. When I needed to leave town on a family emergency, I handed the keys to Don without a worry. Like everyone else, I want to do business with people I know, like and trust. I've found them.

Mike Eid and his team of professionals were always very prompt and courteous throughout the process. From the initial consultation through completion of the project, Mike and his team always kept us informed and in the loop on everything that was to be completed for each week of the project. Mikes team leader, Don Kapper and Shawn were on the job site from day one. They're professionalism and attention to detail from destruction through completion shined through on every facet of the project. I would highly recommend Ohio Home Improvement to anyone looking for a beautiful new space that anyone would be proud to show off to family and friends. GREAT WORK GUYS!!!

Don did all of the work in a timely manner. He is extremely professional and has an awesome work ethic. Everything that was done more than exceeded my expectations. It is beautiful.

Ohio Home Improvement did an excellent job. Mike Eid and his team are a pleasure to work with and they really treat your home as if it is their own.

They basically told me they only do high end remodeling jobs and work off referrals. I wanted quite a bit of work done regarding tiling and installing a exhaust fan in my bathroom and additional remodeling work throughout the bathroom, which I would consider a big job, but they didn't even want to give me an estimate.

Although the start date was delayed two weeks, once work was started the 2 workers were prompt each morning, working 8+ hours each day and cleaning up at the end of each day. We were kept informed of the progress daily by the workers and by Mike every few days. We had hoped to add a bath but there were structural issues that were explained so that we could make the best decision for us. Wiring became more of an issue than originally hoped. Mike kept us up to date on changes in the cost estimate.

OHI is a fantastic stand up company. Mike Eid was invaluable at helping us better define our vision for this space. We never would have ended up with the incredible space they have created without his experience with design and materials. He made the design and quoting process as easy as possible. Our project manager, Mike, and his team (Shawn and Don) were incredibly professional, possessed incredible talent and were extremely thorough. We have young children and we were particularly impressed with how great they were with the kids, even to the point of ensuring the basement door was closed to protect our 1 year old from harm. They arrived promptly every day from the start to finish of the project. The workspace was cleaned daily. The craftsmanship was impeccable and ingenuity was critical to creating the finished product we now have. We couldn't have felt more comfortable having them in or home and couldn't imagine working with anyone else in the future.

me When work was started they were there on time and working promply. They were there every day until the work was done. Also cleaned up after themselves daily. All work to be done was explained to us beforehand. We are extremely happywith the finished product and would use them again on any other project we might need. In fact this is our 2nd time employing them on a job. This was a few years ago and we were just as happy with their work then as now.

We have not heard from anyone at Ohio Home Improvement since the initial visit and did not receive an estimate for the job. Even if OHI did not want the project, a response would have been appreciated. During the conversation when setting up the appointment, Mike spoke very highly of his company's professionalism. The lack of follow through demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism as well as a lack of consideration for our time. We have no interest in hiring this company.

My family recently moved from Michigan to Ohio and wanted to make some upgrades and improvements to our new home. The tasks ranged from installing a ceiling fan to finishing a room in our basement. Not knowing anyone, we turned to Angie?s list and found Ohio Home Improvement. My first phone call with Mike (owner) went extremely well. I could tell that not only was I looking for the right contractor but he was looking for the right client. Mike then came to our new home to quote out the engagement. He was very meticulous in his process. The quote itself was one of the most detailed that I had seen. It listed out everything that they were going to do. That way, there are no surprises in the end. Our project manager was Don, a MacGyver of the construction trade. He could solve any problem and perform any task. Don was a joy to work with. He ended each day with: ?Are you happy with our progress.? The team itself was polite and professional. Mike (another Mike) did a fantastic job with our crown molding and Jeremy made strong contributions to the project. I asked them to call me by my first name (instead of sir) which proved to be difficult for them. They were on time every day and cleaned up at the end of each day. They only worked on my engagement. There was no running between jobs. As the job progressed, we added new tasks which was no problem. They even stepped in for us when another contractor (not Ohio Home Improvement) dropped the ball a bit. It got to the point where I felt comfortable leaving them alone in the house. In short, the work was completed on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Ohio Home Improvement to anyone. On a personal note, I really enjoyed working with them. I am even planning out our next project with Mike.

Communication was clear and all steps were discussed with me the homeowner prior to the work being done. Workspace was left clean between days and afterward it was spotless. They went above and beyond consistently and I would never hesitate to have them do further work on my house or refer them to anyone I know. Thank You!

We hired OHI to repair a leak in our laundry room that had lead to mold.The experience was pretty good we had some miscommunication with the owner but the man who came out, Don, was fabulous. He worked efficiently and cleanly he communicated the whole time about was what was going on and what still needed to be done. He went above and beyond what was expected, there were a lot of little things that he could've said "hey I don't have time for that" but he did them, like cleaning the dryer duct out, cleaning under the washer and dryer putting the old knobs on the new cabinet so they would match our existing cabinets. I very much appreciated the way he worked. I trusted him around my kids we felt safe with him in our home, we really appreciated the work he did for us. When the project was done we realized that there was a small chemical spill on our front sidewalk when we told Mike,the owner, about it he was very quick getting Don back out here. Don not only cleaned the small spot where the chemical was but he also cleaned the entire sidewalk and porch. He went way above and beyond what he needed to do! I also appreciated Don's attitude, most people would be upset at having to come back but he NEVER made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Again Don was fabulous! You would expect work like this to come at a huge cost but it was very fair and there were no surprises in the final bill!

All in, the project took a little more than 5 weeks to complete. We started with a couple visits a discussions with Mike Eid (OHI President) as design and advisory meetings. Mike helped us understand OHI's process, work schedule, and overall expectations. We followed with a visit to a local cabinet provider and selected the vanity cabinet and the top. OHI introduced a tile provider who came to our home and reviewed tile options, we selected tile for the floor, wall and accent row. The selection process went well, however there was mild confusion about the order process which resulted in a slight schedule delay. The demolition and preparation process went very well, with little mess, and daily cleanup by the craftsmen and builders at the site. We got to the point where there was a new underlayment, plumbing and electrical rough in. A few issues related to the main drain stack were resolved, along with a complete replacement of the tub drain. Tile floor and cabinet went in next, no significant problems. Next came the wall and shower tile, which took the longest time, as expected. There were a few remaining issues related to drains and plumbing that was resolved fairly quick at the end of the project as well. Finally the fixtures and cleanup were installed. Overall we were very satisfied with the look and functionality of our new bathroom, the craftsmen and builders at OHI were professional, timely, clean and tidy, and did really great work. We had a very good experience overall with OHI, and would use them again for big remodel projects.

The experience with OHI was completely different than we had experienced with other service providers. Mike Eid (owner) quickly returned my call and we had a conversation for over an hour to make sure we had a vision match on what we wanted done. While the kitchen, laundry and guest bath were pretty straight forward, the master bath and bedroom was a major renovation including removing the existing fiberglass shower stall and tiling a custom shower, replacing all cabinets and counter, adding a storage pantry and then tiling the floor and walk in closet. Mike had us work with his preferred tile supplier and they came to our house to show us samples and we selected a number of products that we loved. One of the big pluses OHI has is totally transparent pricing. Mike provided a complete detailed break down of the labor costs (the price of the service above) and then we worked with his preferred vendors to select products we want at the price level we want. Mike also gets his pricing for his customers since he has excellent suppliers. No surprises with price or scope of services here. Again a BIG change from our previous experiences. Everything was under our control and known up front. This also included the selection of cabinets and counter top. Mike also worked with us on the plan for the master bath including having a 3D rendering done to insure we were happy before the work started. This took a lot of nervousness out of the project for my wife and I. Again Mike was there every step of the way. We had a previous bad experience with our kitchen backsplash with another contractor. Mike was very sensitive to this and had his top tile person do the removal and installation of a mosaic backsplash my wife had fallen in love with. The attention to detail was incredible and the results were absolutely stunning. This part of the project took 5 days from start to finish. The folks doing the work were punctual, courteous and cleaned up at the end of each day. they next tiled and painted the laundry room. Again the attention to detail was incredible and the results absolutely superb. The same was true of repainting the half bath on the first floor. We also decided to replace the toilet after the start of the project. OHI handled the addition with no problem and Mike even made suggestions as to the type of toilet (comfort height) which we found was excellent. Once the first floor projects were complete, OHI moved to tile and paint the guest bath. Since we replaced the first floor toilet we also did the one in our gust bath. Since we had previously had wall paper, the team working the guest bath project took the extra prep work but it was meticulously done to insure complete satisfaction and quality. The master bath and bedroom took the bulk of the time (as expected and estimated by Mike). The master bath was completely gutted to the existing dry wall. Mike's team (primarily Mike (not the owner) and Sean) took great care to minimize the mess and they cleaned up at the end of each day. During the demolition we decided we wanted to re-do out master walk in closet. No problem for OHI and they connected us with a closet organizer person they work with and we got 3 proposals from minimal to complete re-do of the space. We now have a fantastic and super functional walk in closet. Also after the project started we decided to add bamboo flooring to our master bedroom replacing the carpet. We actually found the product and Mike provided estimated the amount of material and we purchased it and OHI installed it. This was the one area we ran into an unexpected issue since the floor in our bedroom actually sloped about a 3/8 of an inch downward. OHI took it in stride and made sure the floor was properly leveled before laying the flooring. In summary the experience we had with OHI was FANTASTIC !!!!! The team was incredible with their professionalism and attention to detail. They answered questions all through the process and were respectful and clean. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to our family and friends. In fact, we already talked with OHI about two more projects at the start of the new year we were so happy. We cannot say enough good about the experience we had with OHI and Mike Eid and his team (Mike, Dave, Sean and Jeremy) that worked on our house. We now feel we have a high end spa/hotel experience every time we go into our bedroom and bath. Mike and the team at OHI are the ultimate professionals and will go the extra mile to make sure that things are done right and that you get all the value for your money spent and more. It is so refreshing to deal with a firm like OHI and people like Mike Eid and his team and suppliers. OHI is the only firm we will work with in the future for any projects in our house. From start to finish our expectations were not just met but exceeded.

Ohio Home Improvement, Inc, Tallmadge, OH - March 2015 1. Impressive Start At the outset Mike Eid, Pres, OHII, spent over 1 hour discussing their business model built on quality, OHII and customer expectations. We discussed ?How we do Business? and what kind of people we liked having work for us. Mike Eid explained that once he starts a job that his people stay on that job until finished and that they don?t like surprises any more than do customers. He will call out before he starts any and all foreseeable problem areas and include them in proposal or call them out as ?expense to be determined. 2. Talk the talk - Walk the walk The first day was impressive. It was a day of demolition for refurbishing. The crew showed up at 745a and were ready to start at 8a. This continued ? Start at 8a Quit at 5p. Work like crazy in between. Also impressive was the crew could speak the same quality and ?Do it Right? philosophy of the owner. At the end of the day, the demo dirt, debris and clutter was cleaned up before they left. That practice happened every workday and greatly reduced dirt tracking and dust spreading. Make sure your contractor does this and does it well. 3. Keeping It Clean On their own, the lead workman (project manager) purchased a case of additional furnace filters and replaced them about 7-10 days. Great move! The conditions in this ?bare to the walls project were very very dirty and that?s good! This was incredible. 4. Unforeseen Problems In first week there were unforeseen problems. Mike Eid, Owner, consulted with his crew and outside professional tradesmen when necessary so that he could discuss options and guide us to a good decision. Because it involved foundational plumbing in our 56 year old house we wanted it fixed- fixed right. This instilled even more confidence in OHII. Mike Eid was always looking to minimize additional extra expense for us yet make sure that the solution was in line with our expectations of quality. 5. Attention to Detail Their quality is demonstrated even the smallest things. The framing carpenter noticed that one of the vertical stud was slightly splitting and took it upon himself to mail a ?sister? stud to it to shore it up. This attention to detail was typical in fixture placement, stair case finish carpentry, wood floor installation, tile work and painting. We are fanatics with such detail and so was OHII. Good combination. Bottom line: The owner and crew at Ohio Home Improvement are among the best that we ever have dealt with. They insist on ?Done Right- Done Well?; they arrive 7:50a and hammer and saw by 8:00a; consult if there was a question; clean-up every day; protect the homeowner from drastic surprises and STAY WITHIN BUDGET. Our lower level is fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Conclusion: With our highest recommendation, if you are considering small, medium or large renovation or additions to your home give Ohio Home Improvement a call and opportunity. You be glad you did because it will be done right and you can sleep at night.

I picked Ohio Home Improvement based on the reviews posted on Angie's List. I'm so glad I did because they exceeded my expectations. From the moment I met Mike he set my mind at ease with his knowledge and understanding of my project. He guided me through the entire process from beginning to the end. This included picking out the vanity, tile, tub, down to the fixtures. The employees for this project were Greg and Jeremy. I can't say enough about them. Their professionalism, work ethic and attention to detail was refreshing and impressive. Greg was in contact with me on daily basis and kept me updated on the progress of the job. He made me aware of any problems that arose immediately, so we could address them before he proceeded. They laid tarps on the floors wherever they walked and cleaned every night before they left. You could tell they took pride in their workmanship because it showed in the overall look of the finished project. The reveal looked like a TV show reveal. I would definitely recommend Ohio Home Improvement.

After putting off this project for quite a while, the shower in our master bathroom had finally reached a state where it could not be used anymore. (Water damage/tiles falling off due to a sub-par previous installation.) Our first thought was to simply get the shower (only) rebuilt. We contacted OHI, and a couple other contractors, based on the reviews in Angie's List. Mike was clear from first contact that his service is not the cheapest out there, but the quality is top-notch. He scheduled an appointment for a visit / estimate very soon after our conversation. (I've had another contractor take a few weeks before finding time to visit the home.) Mike came up with some suggestions that we had never considered. Particularly, enlarging the shower size itself since the existing was very small. No one else had thought of this. It was correctly recommended that the whole bathroom required renovation. After our meeting, we were convinced OHI was the outfit for this project. After receiving the quote for the work to be performed and signing the contract, Mike scheduled an appointment to go with us to select the major components (vanity, cabinets, vanity top, tile). We quickly found top quality items that we absolutely loved. A real selling point with OHI is that they do not mark-up these items. In fact, they purchase most of the components at their contractor discounted price and pass the savings directly to us. Once the project started, the crew of Greg and Jeremy were extremely professional, courteous, punctual, always cleaning up after each day, from the demolition to the finishing touches. The results were absolutely stunning. The workmanship was excellent. I'm still amazed by the transformation of the bathroom. They were OK. Workers were great, but not too fond of the owner. Quality of work from the workers was very very good. The owner wasn't pulling through for some subsequent work I wanted done. He did not get back to me. Somewhat pricey as well, but you get what you pay for as the work was excellent. The workers were wonderful! I would recommend them. The work has still held up.

Contractor came out with his lead guy and gave a verbal quote. The quote was too high. They performed no work and said he didn't want to spend a lot of time quoting a big job he might not get. That's a cost of doing business and it's exactly why he didn't get mine.

Gutted bathroom..down to walls/floor..replaced drywall,custom tile throughout, custom made shower for elderly with seat, grab bars. Very professional crew..on time..on schedule...drop cloths where they are tracking/workin...kept things clean. Mike and his crew did an outstanding professional job. Did a few extra things that I didn't expect but was glad they did..no additional cost. Who does that anymore? Definitely using them for other projects...highly recommend!

OHI Exceeded all of my expectations. I was skeptical at first, as they seemed to be over-promising and had a process that I did not think was necessary for this small of a job. However, they delivered big time. They were upfront, and honest from the beginning. They provided an accurate timeline and a to-the-penny price estimate. I met with them and discussed exactly what I envisioned and they made it a reality. They were able to offer valuable advice when planning the upgrades to our space. All of they things they said about there service were very truthful. They were extremely courteous and professional in my home. They were excellent with our dog and all of their interactions with my wife and I were polite and professional. They respected our home, and left the area they worked in cleaner than they found it. The work was superb. They were able to deliver exactly what we asked for at the quoted price, and even fixed a few small issues with the room at no extra charge. If anything changed from the plan that was discussed from day 1, they were sure to get approval before starting work. I will absolutely be using OHI again. They are able to provide a wide range of services and I am extremely comfortable with them after this 3 day job. From start to finish, the entire process was completed exactly how I was told it would be completed from day 1.

You will begin to see multiple reviews posted by me on the behalf of Ohio Home Improvement. We had the pleasure of working with OHI on one of our Master Bathroom projects and the experience was amazing. Our clients were so happy with their craftsmanship and professionalism; they referred them to a family member before OHI was even finished. From an Architectural standpoint, their ideas on design, ability to perform and intelligently communicate what?s going to happen next is unparalleled. Since then, we?ve decided to use OHI exclusively to build ALL of our projects. They have completed various projects from straight forward to very intricate and detailed. Being in the construction industry, I know firsthand what?s out there and what you get for your money. They are not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The days of being over budget, missed deadlines and upset clients are over!!! OHI has performed five projects for us now and the outcome has been consistently fantastic. They don?t sub-contract work out and I see the same craftsman on all my projects. It is so nice being able to assign large renovation projects and NEVER HAVE TO WORRY about what is going on or if work is getting done. Their level of foresight, communication and follow through makes my company look great, and I?ll continue to write positive reviews on completed projects until they give me a reason not to.

It is going amazingly. The staff is extremely curtious and knowledgable. The communication is better than I've ever had with any other company. I have used them 4 times before, for different homes.

I had high hopes for this company after talking to the owner on the phone and setting up an appointment. He pretty much came right out and told me that their level of service was going to be expensive and asked me if I was ok with that. It seemed like a strange approach to me, but given my current situation having gone through countless contractors and founding nobody to complete my work, I was willing to pay a little more to get the job done. He asked me countless questions on the phone about my past experience with contractors making me feel like I was interviewing to let them do the work for me. Fast forward to the next week, the guy shows up at my house. He was punctual (although he went to the wrong house first, but it happens). He came in and started out very friendly and professional. After examining the areas of my house that needed work, he discovered that there were some structural issues that were causing some of the problems. His demeanor quickly turned into saying things like "yeah, this is not good" or "this is bad." So, rather than just telling me what was going on and coming up potential gameplay for fixing these problems, he made me feel like i was doomed. At one point, he literally told me to stage my house with my furniture and put it up for sale. While discussing the issues that were going on, I just wanted some reassurance that if I completed the work, my house would be structurally sound at the end of the repairs. He kept telling me that my house would "never stop moving" and that diagnosing all of the structural problems would depend on "how much money I wanted to spend." He verbally quoted me $3500 (which he said should be pretty spot on) to demo/reframe/replace two side doors and patch up a plaster hole in the wall (not including materials). And this $3500 was just for the surface issues... not to even look at the overall structural issues. Now, there are certainly issues that would need to be addressed in replacing these doors, but this price seemed pretty ridiculous to me. And with regards to the plaster repair... he told me that it would be a smooth wall and that the texture couldn't be matched. I'm no expert, but I've gotten other patch work done in my house and a typical handyman had no problems matching textures. But his "we can do it all" company that he boasts about can't put on a layer of mud and match a texture? When the structural issues were being discussed, I asked him if he wanted to go into the basement and take a look to see if he saw any glaring issues. He told me that "until you decide that we're the contractor for you, it's not necessary at this time." You're telling me that my house has structural issues, but you're not even willing to take a walk through the basement to see if you notice anything going on? Despite the high price and some minor concerns... I still needed this work done. I told him that I wanted to talk to my wife to see how much we really wanted to dig into these issues, but I still wanted a firm quote to fix the doors and plaster. He told me that he would "rather just leave" and let me get back to him. I told him that at minimum, we're going to need the doors and plaster repair done, so he agreed to get me a quote. I asked him when I could expect the quote (this was on a tuesday), and he told me Friday or Monday at the latest. Today marks two weeks since he left my house and I haven't heard a single word from him. And to put his opinions and prices in perspective... I've since met with another reputable contractor in the area who verbally said $1000-1500 (plus materials) to fix the items that OHI quoted me $3500. He also referred me to a structural engineer to take a look at my house before we got started. The engineer was able to walk through my house for 10 minutes and figure out the root cause of all of the structural problems in detail. This tells me that OHI is either 1) not as knowledgeable as they claim (which he really tries to drill home about), or 2) wasn't willing to take the time to even look unless I signed off on their ridiculous prices. I'm sure that OHI is perfectly capable and I've seen pictures of very nice looking renovations and things they've done. My experience, however, was very unsatisfactory and disappointing. I've seen that they take the time to respond to all of their negative feedback, so I'm truly interested to see how he justifies the behavior and lack of follow through in my experience. I'm anticipating something along the lines of him saying that I seemed unsure about doing the work (because I wanted to talk to my wife about how deep we wanted to dive into these issues), but I told him flat out that I needed the doors/plaster done regardless. My 'B' rating for punctuality is only based on the fact that he showed up on time for my initial consultation.
