At first I thought it would be much easier having Ohio Hail Relief find the contractors for us. I asked them for an estimate and they said "we get whatever the insurance pays you", that was my first clue. Repairs started in the middle of June and continued through November of 2011. There were a series of events that took place that prolonged the finishing of the job. The siding seemed to go smooth besides the truck that was put in our driveway instead of a dumpster. The truck was rusted out, doors would not close and since it was left over night I had to prop garbage cans against the doors so we had room to get in the house. The roof was a disaster. After it was so called completed, I had concerns with the dips that I could see looking at the roof from the street. I called two different roofer to look at my roof to make sure there were no problems. They gave me a list of items that still needed to be added, one item was the roofers did not put down any flashing, nails sticking up all over roof, chimney duct put on upside down. I addressed this with Ohio Hail Relief and they said they would fix any problems that were pointed out. It took them again a handful of weeks to do this and then claimed it was all repaired. I again paid roofers to go up and take a look at the roof. THe roofers told me that there were repairs but they were more of a band aid. I contacted the owner Rick Forgues and told him that I would not pay him his final payment of 3,000 until I went through a couple seasons to see if there were any leaks. He told me that it was not the best roof in Euclid but it was okay. Also said what did I expect, I got the roof for free. I held back the final payment and over the next 8 months I saw the cracks in our driveway from the truck that was parked there, boards on my ceiling in screened in porch start to warp, after one year we had a leak in our ceiling of our dining room. I then was contacted by Rick, leaving a voicemail saying all the contractors were paid but him. So he would have to get the money another way. In May of 2013 I received a notice from Euclid Courts informing me that I was being sued for the amount owed to Ohio Hail Relief, I responded with a counter sue for the damage that I incurred from the replacement of the roof. Euclid Courts ruled in Ohio Hail Relief''s favor because of breach of contract, it is now in the appeal process. This last weekend I walked out on my porch and there are icesicles hanging from inside my porch and now water dripping down in buckets because it is starting to thaw. Insurance will only pay for damage and repair because it was my responsibility to find a reputable contractor. This company is very unprofessional and I am disappointed in myself for having the faith they would do the right thing and correct their mistakes. I have pictures of everything and I hope to get my day in court.
