On Sept 9, 2023, we were visited by MICHELE GIARRANO of The Basement Guys Cleveland to evaluate a 'basement improvement' project. Very quickly, Ms Giarrano determined that our planned project was NOT within the scope of work normally performed by The Basement Guys.
In spite of no obvious prospects of work for The Basement Guys, Ms Giarrano spent considerable time with us, offering suggestions and potential recommendations within our planned scope and sharing past project experiences. Her information strongly influenced the view of our project, providing valuable insights.
Her inputs had enough value that we offered to provide a review, unsolicited.
In fact, ONLY because of the value provided by Ms GIARRANO did I persevere to submit this review. The process of submitting the review was less convenient than most processes I've experienced.

Description of Work: This was a basement waterproofing inspection in response to a home inspection (for purchase). We needed to find out of the moisture the inspector found was due to a major defect before we purchased our house. We had only 2 days' turnaround during which we had to get an opinion, and other waterproofing companies wouldn't even respond. TBG made a last-minute appointment with no problem. I was really happy with the visit. I expected to hear that we needed to fully waterproof the basement, but instead was told it's a great basement and the suspected cause is an inexpensive drainage correction. I really appreciated the honesty. My only gripe is that the quote I asked for for follow-up work never materialized (it wasn't urgent, but it could've been had I wanted to use it for negotiations).

Description of Work: We were waiting to see if they came back to fix the wet areas in the basement corners and the water that flows next to he shower when there is a rainstorm. The waterproofing on the inside was the way to go. When we had severe thunderstorms with three inches of rain in an hour, the new sump pump kept up, but there was water in the corners an by the shower. The system on the inside pulled almost all of the rain into the channels, moving it to the sump. We would have been battling a wet basement without this system. I just wish they would call us back to set up an appointment to fix the issues. We are not tech savvy---cannot take pictures on our phone and send them to see problem. Can you do anything to assist with the resolution of our problem? Thanks!
