The Basement Guys came out and examined my basement and told me honestly that I did not have any major problems, and just to patch the small cracks in the floor. He did not recommend having any major work done that was not needed.

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate and they were a no show.

They were professional and made additional adjustments to project to make system work perfectly.

Looks great! Was just what we hoped for.

The basement guys are a high pressure company. They will not come to appointment unless your spouse is present. There price was on par with other estimates i received. My main complaint with this company is that they have called me almost daily since July to send a senior technician to reevaluate my problem. Just a high pressure tactic. if they wanted my business they should of sent out the most knowledgeable person to the first appointment. basement guys please quit calling me. This sales tactic does not work.

Great, they did a fantastic job and the customer service was great.

Very well Communication was alittle slow with office on when the appointment was going to be. Besides that,everything was very satisfactory. Work was completed yesterday on Nov. 16

The first thing they did was to cover my floors. Then reviewed the job order and answered any questions that I had. After signing some papers they started the job. When finished the project manager went over the work done.

Although I have not had work done by this company on my own house, they would be my first call for basement work.

Very professional, always business-like but personable no matter who I dealt with. Salesman was very knowledgeable about options to consider for the basement finishing -- honest. The installer was flexible and added his own attention to details, recommending minor changes or improvements in a couple of places. Overall experience was excellent, they seemed to look out for their customers' interests during the process.

Excellent, the mold was removed by the treatment they provided. My wife and kids feel safe again and able to use our basement.

It was a great experience. My basement hasn't had any problems since the basement guys came in. The job was done quickly and completely. The Basement guys were respectful of me and my home. They cleaned up after themselves and protected my carpet and furniture. I would use them and recommend them to everyone.

We contracted to have a portion of our basement finished, including the creation of a bathroom & laundry room. Our first visit with Dan Reed went great. He told us what all we could do and educated us on portions of our vision that wouldn't work. We made necessary adjustments and agreed to move forward. From there we were supposed to hear from a foreman for a detail walk through before the project began. I had to call for 3 weeks to get that set. Once foreman arrived, we felt good again. He was kind, walked through what we were going to have done, and was friendly with the kids. Things seemed great and the project began. Once the actual contractors arrived they started telling us things that couldn't happen because of measurements, plumbing and other issues the plans would cause. Door frames wouldn't fit, cement blocking had to be drilled into, walls had to have bump outs. The ceiling that we were told wouldn't matter if it were painted or drop, cost wise, started getting put up and no one told us about an additional $3000 cost. The contractors began getting frustrated with us when we reacted to what they were doing that differed from the original plan. They broke a pipe that ran under our house, said they would fix it and then thankfully ran out of cement that day. When my husband pulled that gravel up to inspect what they had done, they had just filled it with gravel and said it probably would pose a problem. They ran the plumbing so poorly it took months to fix - i will circle back to that later. The drop ceiling was eventually undone because we refused to have additional cost that was not agreed to up front. The shower leaked for months. And when the project started going way over time estimated, the contractor began rushing and cutting corners to finish up faster. Our floor still has bubbles in it and the paint job was not awesome. He blamed everything that went wrong on one of his crew members and had an obvious chip on his shoulder. At one point my husband took the day off work and told the CEO and foreman that work would not begin again until they came to the house to see what was going on. They said they would fix things but we were made to feel like we were being difficult. The project finally ended and I came home to the contractor sitting in my driveway saying he wouldn't leave until I signed off on the job - which was not something I wanted to do because I don't have the knowledge of home repairs that my husband does but I didn't want him sitting in my driveway all night either. A few weeks went by and we started noticing the shower leaking more and more and a bad smell. We asked a friend who is a licensed plumber to check it out before we made a big deal out of it and when he saw what had been done he created a laundry list of corners cut and things that were not to code. We told the company and they said they had us under contract and had a right to fix it themselves but not before telling us any plumber would act like things were wrong so they could get paid to fix it. We hesitantly agreed to let them fix the issues listed and they sent the same guy to our home who cut all the corners in the first place. We sent him home and said we wanted a licensed plumber to come out. They again treated us like we were being difficult. However, once the foreman and a plumber, of their choosing came, the company quickly learned that 90% of the list we had given them was in fact not up to code or regulation. They didn't vent properly, or seal our crock, or connect to our sewer line or well with proper materials - the list went on and on but I cant remember it all. It took the foreman himself coming out for a few more months to "fix" things. Each time saying he was done and each time us having to call him back to fix additional things that were not addressed. Overall what was supposed to be a 10 day project turned into a 8 month fiasco. I will say that, now, after all that, the basement is fixed but its not completely what we agreed to, no discount/refund was ever offered, no apologies ever made. While we are now able to use and enjoy our basement in new ways, I would never recommend this company. Positive notes:The owner did try to make it right after being proven things were going wrong. The foreman did continue to always be pleasant in our home and did try to fix things. eventually the major issues were addressed.

Overall great experience! We had some quality issues with the finish, but they were very responsive and resolved everything.

The guys were on time everyday, very friendly, and job was perfect.
