Description of Work: Excellent. We wanted to make our old 1950s basement into a livable space. From the beginning The Basement Guys we’re top Notch. The sales lady Michelle spent more than enough time understand our needs and helping to draw the right layout for our 1950s basement. We were even able to make some changes to the layout/jobs before we started. Carl was the main worker and did a fantastic job. He was on time everyday and even stayed late a couple times. Our unique basement made for some custom jobs that Carl performed no problem. He went above and beyond. There’s no doubt, I would hire this company again.

Description of Work: First, the salesman, unlike the other salesmen, told me I did not need a lot of waterproofing. When some moisture was discovered, a limited amount of waterproofing was done instead of soaking me for lots of unnecessary expense. The renovation work was not easy, but the two workers pulled it off with skill. They really worked with my schedule, finishing before I went on vacation. There were no surprises. They made sure we talked every day so that my expectations were accurate. They told me what could and could not be done. They were courteous, and when one paint contractor did a job that was good enough for me, they re-did it because they said it did not meet company standards.

Description of Work: Finished our cold,damp and musty 800 square foot lower level storage area using all waterproof, non-biodegrade materials. They installed walls with electrical outlets, baseboard trim, dehumidifier,and ceiling lights. We are more than pleased with the outcome-the room is warm and dry and all work was performed with utmost professionalism and quality. The did everything exactly as explained.

Description of Work: They reinforced the bowing, cracked walls in my basement foundation. They use great products/technology to repair basement walls/foundations that need repair. I wasn't able to do a walk thru when they completed the work due to my work schedule and they did forgot to fill in the cracks on some of the basement walls that was in the contract and when I phoned the office this was promptly and courteously handled. I would recommend them to family and friends as well as use them again in the future. + 1 moreFirst they came and looked at the area of concern, took their time to answer my questions and provided me with a quote. I compared it with the other quotes and decided to use them based on their review on Angie's list, material they use and price. When they came to do the repair, they laid down plastic on my floors from the front door to the area they worked on in the basement. They also tented the area with plastic as a precaution. I have dust allergies and small children and wanted to make sure the area stayed as clean as possible. They did the repair, cleaned up and left. It's still drying so I'll have to update this if anything changes once the repair is dry. They were very courteous and friendly. I would recommend them to my friends, family and anyone needing foundation repair.
Description of Work: repaired crack in our foundation wall by using a vertical carbon fiber strip over the crack and 5 strips wrapped around the corner

+ 2 moreVery nice, arrived on time, job took two days. Overall they were professional, from the salesman to the actual worker, however we did have two issues: 1) he sanded down the crack prior to installing the supports and did not let me know beforehand. There was dust and debris everywhere in the basement and it also came up through the heating vents to the first floor. Had I known they were going to grind/sand it down, I would have covered valuables in the basement and shut all the vents. And 2) the thermal insulation was finished off poorly. It was cut with ragged edges, tape is coming unglued and it?s already separating from the wall along all the edges of both walls. They did a great job with the carbon fiber supports (which is what really matters). It?s just the quality of the finish work on the thermal insulation cover (which we fixed ourselves). Overall I was pleased with the work that was done... (I know they would have come back out to correct the thermal insulation had I called prior to my husband taking care of it.)
Description of Work: Cracks developed/shifted slightly in one corner of our basement foundation wall. There were no water leaks. The Basement Guys gave us three options and we went with the Carbon Fiber supports. They dug out the foundation in the corner, installed and anchored the five support strips, put the gravel back in the drainage system around the perimeter and poured new concrete. They installed thermal insulation over the carbon fiber supports. They also redirected a downspout and capped off the old opening connected to the sump pump to stop any possible further issues.
