Davey Utility Services

Since there was no confirmation, I did not put down a large tarp to protect my gravel drive from the mulch (as I outlined in my order form), and I did not move my car prior to the dump. They BLOCKED my car, trailer, and put some of mulch on the tongue of my trailer, 4 feet into my pine needles, and a small bit even went through my neighbors fence onto their drive. This is the neighbor that paid them to trim their trees about 3 months earlier. I had to shovel the mulch before I could get my car out of the parking spot or move my trailer. I made 2 calls to the local office and left message for Charlotte Manager Ray Betz with no response. I made two calls to the national office and talked to a nice lady leaving 2 messages for Ray Betz. I emailed Davey Tree direct from their website. No response of any kind after three weeks. This free service was poorly delivered and I would never pay Davey Tree for anything after this experience. Horrible Horrible,,, they "trimmed" a tall blue spruce on our property ( it came with the house when we bought it). Linda at Duquesne Light gave me the outline to be followed. They did not follow the guidelines Duquesne Light advised me they are to follow. Totally butchered --- two huge gouges out of the tree. We drove around our neighborhood,,,,you can actually pick out each tree they "worked" on! My husband watched while they "trimmed" our tree. They then asked to eat lunch on our lawn. It was implied they were done cutting. Not so!!!!!!!!!!! We were getting ready to leave the house,,, they had resumed cutting!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!! Sue at "local" Davey Co. says they aren't connected with this division. She gave me lots of phone numbers. NO ONE HAS RETURNED OUR PHONE CALLS. Note: We used "local" Davey a few yrs ago. Very expensive, Had to come back because logs not cut to fireplace size. Unable to communicate with workers as they spoke only broken English. Duquesne Light Co. was purchased a few years ago by an Australian company. Perhaps this explains the disgusting maiming of customers' trees. After all,,,, what recourse due electrical customers have? Especially when the parent company is in another country????????????????? If we had another choice of electric company, we'd switch. It's our observation that if Duquesne Light stressed doing a proper job of trimming, Davey Tree would do so. Let me reiterate,,, neither Duquesne Light nor Davey Tree's utility division (?) have returned our phone calls. We and our neighbors are left with mutilated trees.
