Dale's company has done a lot of work for us over the years since I saw his company had a service award several years ago. He is friendly and his workers are professional, taking care to clean up after themselves. He has also been highly responsive to any questions or concerns I have had about the work.

We had contacted Integrity Painting to get an estimate on painting the exterior of our home. They were very prompt in coming out to give us an estimate. They left us a nice brochure about their company, pricing and what to expect. We hired them and approximately 2 months later they started the work. They were on time and professional. I am very particular about my home, lawn and landscaping. They were very careful when working on our property. Having hired a lot of contractors in the past, I would consider this company top notch. The guys who did the work were very nice and did an excellent job. We get a lot of compliments on our home. I would definitely ( and have ) recommend these guys to anyone.

Jason and Gene did an excellent job performing the above listed work. They were timely, tidy, careful with flower beds, and kept me informed as to how the job was going. Jason also made a minor repair to a gutter that was coming loose. The house looks great. I would certainly have them back for future work.

Integrity had painted all of my house in 2010. Apparently because of inadequate ventilation, the east side paint peeled a lot. I hired them to scrape and paint just that side. I actually signed the contract last fall, but Dale warned me that they probably couldn't get to it until spring. On May 7, they called to ask if they could start work the next day. They scraped the (soft) wood shingle siding on Friday and painted it on Monday. They did a very good job of cleaning up, and the house looks much better.

We have had contact with Integrity Painting on this job and on two other occasions since 10/2012. They painted the interior walls and woodwork of our lower level addition. We asked that they match the quality of paint on the previously painted upper level of the house. The job went according to schedule and for the price quoted. They were unable to match the quality of the previously painted part of the house. They were mainly unable to provide a consistent surface texture on both the walls and woodwork. Smooth is some areas and grainy in others. We also learned later that they stripped the wood screws on most of the door hinges by using a too high clutch on their screw gun. These all had to be replaced with longer screws. All in all we would rank job as "B" quality. In 2014 we wanted the interior of three rooms painted. We called Integrity Painting and two other Angie's List painters for estimates. Dale's estimate was 2 1/2 times that of another highly rate Angie's List painter, so we went with them. Now in 2015 we are taking bids from three Angie?s List painters to paint the exterior of our house. All three came out and two gave me quotes on the spot, Dale (the owner) from Integrity asked if he could email the quote the next day. I didn't receive an email so I called on Friday of that week and spoke to person in his office who said he was out on quotes but she was sure I would have a quote by Monday at the latest. I called on Tuesday and spoke with Dale , he said he was working on it at that time and would send it over directly. It?s been over a month and No Quote, which is fine but why waste my time. If the job was too large or too difficult for Integrity Painting, Dale should have said he wasn't interested . Obviously being a repeat customer means nothing to Integrity Painting. From my experience this company is over rated and I would not use them again nor recommend them.

Two plaster walls needed to be repaired due to holes drilled to install insulation. The insulation contractor had covered the holes but the covering was unsightly and protruded beyond the rest of plaster on the walls. The repairs by the painters completely removed any evidence that holes had been drilled into the walls. The painters prepped the walls, covered the floors, caulked, repaired nail holes, and applied two coats of paint. They arrived on time and were easy to deal with.

The owner Dale is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I appreciated his advice and guidance in this job. He came and did the estimate, then brought the crew in and got them started. He came back again at the end to inspect their work. The crew did a great job, and were pleasant to have in my home. They were polite, spoke very highly of the owner (their boss) and answered all my questions as the job went along. They did a good job painting, there were very few splotches anywhere. The baseboards and trim work were outstanding - nice clean lines everywhere. The last day, they brought in some extra guys to finish up the job, and it got a little hectic and some areas were missed on the second coat. Dale came back and looked at them and had someone come and finish them right away. I was happy with that, as they covered a lot of wall and with 4 guys painting could have lost track of who did what. I have since found a couple other small area that were not second coated - I am sure they will fix it. The only drawback I have noticed (other than a few missed spots) was that the paint they used has marked up some after only one month. If I had it to do again, I might try to upgrade the paint. We also used this company to power wash the house and paint the exterior trim - they did a great job with that as well. I would recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

I accepted Integrity Painting's initial bid in July; the jobs were done on intermittent days during the months of October and November 2014. I recently noticed the new paint on the basement concrete floor was peeling and could be scraped off by a fingernail. Owner Dale Jagger came today to determine the cause and to provide a bid to apply another coat of paint to the basement floor as there were several 'rough' areas showing through the new paint as well. The original contract called for two coats of paint. As the garage concrete floor required three coats before its imperfections were covered and being a novice in painting, I innocently enough asked him if a second coat to have been applied according to contract may have possibly been overlooked; a logical QUESTION in my opinion due to the peeling paint which the cement garage floor does not now exhibit. He said no, two coats were applied, he bought five gallons of paint, none were left over; the peeling was because of a 'smooth' area underneath the paint on the concrete ... okay, fine..... plausible explanation. To my complete surprise Mr. Jagger then became defensive and argumentative subjecting me to a verbal scolding tirade accusing me of questioning his ethics. It was a QUESTION, Mr. Jagger, NOT AN ACCUSATION, which I tried over and over to explain however I became uncomfortable being alone in my own home listening to an ongoing accusatory verbiage in response to my QUESTION. He then walked off the job leaving the premises and the peeling paint. In addition, I was accused of asking for 'extras' not specified on our contract evidently by requesting a wooden mailbox post be painted and a few protruding nails on the deck be pounded down during crew downtime while they were waiting for paint to dry. It is quite surprising to me that a business owner would treat a customer in this manner. Another issue came about the time of the power washing of the house and deck which I assumed, although not specified either way in the contract, that the company would supply the water as in my experience is the norm. When his crew arrived without a water tank; I explained to Mr. Jagger over the phone when the crew leader called him regarding my concern, that this rural area has low producing water wells which are not capable of sustained hours-long water production (including my well). Mr. Jagger was argumentative stating the homeowner supplies the water. To avoid further acrimony and having waited three months for the scheduling of this job to begin, I reluctantly allowed the use of my water while all the time anxiously watching the well water pressure gauge which eventually dropped to 'zero' midway through power washing the deck. The well, having been 'taxed to the max' thus stopped producing leaving the house without water for hours thereafter amidst a concern that the underground well pump may have burned out in the process. Fortunately it had not however I was very upset at being pressured and allowing it to influence my better judgment. Afterwards, the crew leader apologized to me and stated that 'he (Mr. Jagger) knows he was wrong.' Mr. Jagger thereafter did haul in the water necessary to complete the power washing at no additional charge. One member of his crew who painted my basement was loud and profane which was audible throughout the upstairs part of the house the entire time he was here. I admit to being a perfectionist (which I always explain ahead of time to companies with whom I intend to do business giving them the opportunity to 'opt out') and hired an "A" rated company from Angie's List assuming it would meet my expectations. I did not want to write this review and had previously decided not to do so knowing I could not honestly give Integrity Painting an 'excellent' rating because of the issues mentioned however the latest episode today changed my mind. Don't expect warranty work from this company because any concerns will likely be your or your floor's fault. I will say the work by Jeremy and Gene was well done. REVIEW UPDATE 04/01/2015 There are several inaccuracies in Integrity Painting's response to my initial review of 01/07/2015. 1. POWER WASHING Contrary to Mr. Jagger's allegations, somewhat confusing. i.e., "For that project the homeowner told me when I did the Bid that he did not want me to use his water (sic) and he realize (sic) that it would cost more." "When my crew arrived they were told that they could not use her water (sic).." ?? In my experience with power washing, the company supplies the water. Who would supply the water was never discussed verbally or in writing prior to the arrival of the crew sans water tank. The crew leader called Mr. Jagger and I explained to him the low production capacity of my water well, NOT that I expected or inferred he "should know" that the wells in this area cannot do sustained water production nor did I ever NOT agree to "pay extra." In fact, Mr. Jagger did add the cost of trucking the water to my bill however after my water supply was depleted before the job was even half way finished which caused the loss of water to our home for several hours until the well recovered, removed the additional charges on his own initiative. As stated previously he was so argumentative during our phone conversation that I agreed to furnish the water to avoid further acrimony (see previous review). The crew returned several days later with a water tank; it also ran out of water before the job was finished so another water trip was made to finish the job and several more hours of power washing due to the grime accumulation on the wood deck. 2, GARAGE FLOOR Mr. Jagger who admitted to having little experience in painting concrete conferred with his paint supplier to determine how to deal with the abrasions his grinder caused in several areas of the concrete floor resulting in a sporadic glossy/dull finish after it was painted. ONE coat per bid. The floor looked terrible and Mr.Jagger agreed that it did. Surely it was not my fault that he misquoted the number of coats of paint in his bid not did I never agree not to pay for TWO and THREE "extra coats." 3. BASEMENT FLOOR Contrary to Mr. Jagger's assertion that he told me the basement floor "...would require grinding the floor to break the surface so the paint would stick..." at the time he looked at the peeling paint (now larger than "...the size of a silver dollar...'' as the peeling spreads whenever a socked foot walks on it) is inaccurate. If grinding the floor was a prerequisite before painting, why was this not included or discussed prior to the original bid? It was not but he did make it clear how much the grinder cost him to rent. Instead he began to measure the basement floor in order to prepare a bid for another coat of paint! He also did not offer "...to stand behind that..." (lifted paint) at any time. I did not repetitively ask him if a second coat had been applied as he suggested. Two of the paint crew were not the same ones who painted the house, garage and deck and the work was noticeably not of the same quality so my question was legitimate. And, yes I again felt intimidated apparently not having asked a question in an acceptable tone or manner to Mr. Jagger who raised his voice, said he did not want to do any more work and walked out. He also seemed to take offense to my mentioning that I had saved a long time to be able to afford the $10,000.00 cost of this work and my disappointment in the basement floor. 4. GOOD WILL At the time Mr. Jagger appraised the house exterior last July 2014 prior to his bid, I pointed out to him a single piece of siding which was protruding outwardly from the garage side of the house and asked if this could be secured back in place when that area was painted. He said if it could be done, it would be, which it was. If, as he stated, "That simple project alone saved her several hundred dollars..." (?) the cost should have been on the bid since he was aware of it beforehand. Or added to the final bill. I did not ask for this as an "extra" or "courtesy" to the job and Mr. Jagger's suggestion of "drawing the line" due to being overgenerous I assume is applicable to peeling paint repair. Referring several of the items he mentioned as being in the "good will" category: Outside light fixtures (4) were removed prior to painting the house and reinstalled as stipulated in the bid. The cleaning of one of them was done by me, not the crew. Two pairs of window shutters were removed prior to painting and reinstalled also as stipulated in the bid. These were not "good will items" and were part of the contract of which I have a copy. The other "extras" were done during the crew's downtime waiting for paint to dry and as previously noted much appreciated. The deck reinforcement of a few popup nails was also discussed with Mr. Jagger at the time of his initial appraisal which he agreed could be done. I have updated my initial review today 04/01/2015, the date it was noticed the paint is now peeling in several areas on the outside concrete porches and garage apron. A local paint supplier provided instructions and materials as to how to repair the peeling paint in the basement myself and will again be contacted as to remedying this most recent development. I, as well, do not wish to contract any additional work from this company.

There was much more to this review than it appears. The job total was about $10,000.00, that was broken up over three different projects. The first was the exterior of the house as well as the top and under side of a 36'x10' deck for $5,600. She also added the concrete pad in front of the garage for $350.00. On the completion of the exterior, she asked us back to paint the garage floor for a $1225.00, then asked us back again to paint the basement floor and walls for another $2,448.00. So as you can see we where there for several days as the weather permitted. I offered to the client that if she waited until November for the basement work I could give her a 10% winter discount. The client agreed to wait to do the interior so she could use the Angie's List winter discount. The power washing got us off on the wrong foot. I have been in the painting business since 1991 and in that time I have hulled water in to only one other job. For that project the home owner told me when I did the Bid that he did not want me to use his water and he realize that it would cost more. I called the client ahead to let her know that I would have a crew there in the morning to start power washing. When my crew arrived they were told that they could not use her water. I called the home owner and told her that I did not include the cost of trucking in the water and that it would be extra. She told me that I should have known that the area she lives in has a low water supply and she would not pay extra. Having been in the business for several years and knowing that power washers do not use much volume of water I did convince her to let us use her water and that if we ran out I would truck in the water at no cost to her. We had washed for three hours and with about an hour more to do when we ran out. So as promised I truck in the water at no cost to her to finish the house and power wash the basement. On completion of the exterior of the house we painted the garage floor. Since some of the concrete was 20 years old, to enhance adhesion I recommended that the floor be mechanical ground. We applied the paint manufactures recommended one coat of WB epoxy to the floor. The next day the home owner said that the floor looked terrible. I reviewed the floor and told her that what she was seeing was the marks from the grinder and that some of the floor was more porous than other areas making it look like flat spots. I agreed to apply a SECOND coat of paint at no cost to her. After the weekend when my crew went back to finish she said that she was still not happy with the floor, so I applied a THIRD coat of paint to part of the floor at no cost to her. We returned as contracted about a month later to paint the basement walls and floor. While painting the basement the home owner said that one of my staff used vulgar language in conversation with other staff members. I apologized and told her that it was not acceptable practice in Integrity Painting and also talked to my staff. When we went back to finish the project she said that she was not happy with the floor, because there was spot that looked different. I told her that we put two coats on the floor and that I did not think a third coat would help the spots she was seeing, because it was caused by the rough concrete. After a few days the home owner sends me an email to let me know that the floor paint was peeling. I set up a time to meet with her to review the problem. After looking at the spot about the size of silver dollar, I told her that it looked like something at one time was spilled on the floor and that the paint would not stick to it. She promptly said that she did not spill anything on the floor and I told her that I did not say that she did but at sometime something was spilled on the floor. I told her that we could fix it but it would require grinding the floor to break the surface so the paint would stick. The home owner asked me if we applied two coats of paint, and I told her that we did. She then asked again if I was sure, because she did not think it would peel if it had two coats applied. I assured her that it did and that we applied a total five gallons of paint on the floor which was more than enough for two coats. (The average coverage for this product is about 400 sq ft per gallon we applied it at rate of 300 sq ft per gallon) She then asked again if I was sure we applied two coats because, neither she or I was there to see it being done. Sometimes it is not the question but how the question is being asked. At this point I asked her why she would keep asking us back if she did not trust us. To the client this was being defensive and argumentative and she wanted to know if I treated all my customers this way or just the female customers. With this accusation I felt it necessary to end our conversation. I said that I did not want to do any more work for her, as I was leaving she threaten to write a letter to Angie's List. We typically as a courtesy do extra for our customers we look at it as good will because we appreciate their business. We extended this good will to this client as well and she mentioned a couple of the items, painting mail box post, drive way post and resetting nails on the deck floor. (She had my staff go back to drive in some more nails that they missed) The painting business is a service industry we make our living from our time. Sometimes our generosity is extended to a point where we have to draw the line, and that is the case with this client. This is a list of some of the other good will items we did for her that she failed to mention. -The gable end of the garage had slipped off the wall pushing the siding off the house. We repaired wall and siding then fixed it so it would not happen again. That simple project alone saved her several hundred dollars. -Installed a trim board on the back of the garage. -Installed new light fixtures, cleaned light fixture, replaced light bulbs. -Painted the exterior of the AC unit. -Installed new shutters. -Painted the well casing. -Painted the gas meter pipes In conclusion, while I recognize that his was not a seamless project, any concerns this client had, was addressed and/or corrected. The fact that the client requested our services not once or twice but three times speaks of our service and willingness to work with our clients. We have never walked off a job, I told the client that I would correct the spot on the floor and I stand behind that. However I do not wish to contract any additional work for this client.

We did not use their service. They were very, very professional. They have every piece of paper that you would want like pieces of insurance and that kind of thing. They have computation when they came out. Obviously, they have that for a long time. He handed everything to me that I wouldn’t even ask for. He was on time.
Description of Work: We got an estimate from Integrity Painting for exterior painting of our house.

They did a great job and stayed on schedule. The two-man crew cleaned up each afternoon before leaving, so the rooms were usable in the evening. We needed the hardware changed out on the doors, and they did this also. We're very happy with the results.
Description of Work: Painted ceilings, doors, trim, and walls, of great room, dining room, kitchen, halls, and stairwell.
