If I could give Greg Henslee 10 stars I would. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of his perfect ratings on this site, but I am so glad we hired Greg to finish our basement. He is an outstanding professional who works hard to deliver the best result and earn your trust and satisfaction. He worked full days and completed our project in remarkable time. We plan to call him again for future projects.

Was an amazing experience. Was able to finish ahead of schedule and the attention to detail was impeccable. I will be using him again in the future. Highly recommend!!

Greg Henslee is hands down THE BEST contractor out there. Great guy, even greater work. Greg completely built us a finished basement with bathroom in exactly 6 weeks as promised. He is a 1 man crew and it’s amazing that he did it all from start to finish. Worth every penny. We couldn’t be happier.

Greg recently completed the remodeling of two of our bathrooms. His work was excellent and he was very easy to work with. He explained what he was doing and kept us up-to-date on progress. When there were changes he asked for our input and explained the impact to the cost and timing of the project.

Throughout the entire process, Greg was professional and kind. He works quickly and meticulously. He was supportive of my ideas but also suggested ideas that would work best for the space. He would explain his suggestions and what product would work best in the space. I respected his advice and I trust his judgement. He is the best contractor I have ever hired. His work is detailed and quite beautiful. I also really liked that he cleaned up everyday and kept the working space very tidy.

Our project went awesome as always. This is not the first time we have used Greg. He is amazing. Shows up on time everyday and works a full day M-F. It is refreshing to have someone in contracting who works consistently and shows up when he says he will be there and puts in a Full days work. He communicates very well. If something comes up and he can’t make it that day (which is terribly infrequent) he always calls and explains. His work is outstanding. He did major remodeling of two bathrooms, amongst other basement work and the quality is amazing. I don’t have enough good things to say about him and his work. Would highly recommend.

Greg recently completed a major remodeling project of our second floor, which included the complete renovation of our two second floor full bathrooms, replacement of existing doors, and replacement of all of our trim in all bathrooms, bedrooms, and hallway. Greg also constructed framing and drywall, and a new powder room in our basement which connects our finished half of our basement to an unfinished half of the basement. The bathroom work involved moving walls and significant plumbing modifications due to the total reconfiguration of both bathrooms. We could not be more thrilled with our experience with Greg. His attention to detail and communication with us was second to none. We hired a separate design firm to prepare drawings and specifications for the project. There were a handful of issues that were design related that Greg would quickly coordinate with both the designer and ourselves to resolve the issues. Greg also replaced framing and drywall in our finished basement in 2016 which went as smoothly as this project. I will definitely be recommending Greg to others we know planning a future remodeling project!

Greg does great work, cleans up after himself, very timely, personable! Would def rehire, and recommend!

Greg is very easy to work with. He's a good listener and is very skilled at his craft. I appreciate his attention to detail and commitment to high standards of his work and making sure the customer is happy. Not only would I hire him again, I've already asked him for an estimate to do more work.

plumbing & electrical work in basement

If you need to do a remodeling project in your home THIS is the guy you need to use!! He does ALL the work himself (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc...). He did an AMAZING job and his price was more than reasonable. He is very reliable and he is meticulous with the work he does. He did 2 bathroom remodels in our home which he gutted and started from scratch. They both turned out beautiful (tile, flooring, cabinet install, plumbing, lighting etc..) and he does all the work himself!! He showed up on time everyday and he was a pleasure to have around! My dogs even loved him! He also remodeled our den and installed hardwood floors on our first floor. The work turned out beautiful and we are soo happy! We plan to use him again in the future to remodel our master bath and our basement. He was highly recommended from a few of my husbands co-workers who have also used him for many home remodel projects and were very happy with the quality/price of his work. After using a local "Remodeling Company" for our kitchen a few years back, I can't tell you how happy we were to find Greg of H&B Construction. That company charged us huge prices and the work went on forever!! Wish I would have known about Greg and H&B back then! This guy does it all, is very skilled, does beautiful work, is reliable and honest and his prices are VERY reasonable. If you read this review and need a remodel project in your home, trust me-- call Greg!! You won't regret it!!

Moral of this story: Hire H&B Construction Services and run away as fast as you can from Dan Sherwin, working under KIMPRESS, LLC. with his wife. I asked for three quotes from Angie's list. One company never responded, one responded a month later, and H&B responded immediately. I also stumbled across a guy through FB Marketplace that I had purchased some furniture from, who was in construction. I asked him to quote my basement exercise room as well as H&B. The quotes were almost equal. H&B were A rated on Angie's list. References provided by Dan Sherwin, working under the name KimPress, were very good. I chose Dan because he could start in January and was a vet vs H&B starting in May. The job by Dan Sherwin/KimPress was a job from ****. He lies about so much. He broke two mirrors and never offered to replace. I told him to put the mirror hanger in a stud but he chose drywall. This was a heavy 3' x 6' mirror. He quoted 8 can lights, and a dimmer switch. He put in 4 can lights and no dimmer. Would not reduce my quote but yet he wanted to charge me $100 to just hang a light bulb in a storage room. I refused to settle with him early Friday evening which was the last day of the job. I had a balance of about $400-$500. He started getting angry and he said he would not leave my property until he had his final check. I warned him I would call the police and I did. They made him leave and told him he was not to set foot on my property again. Greg, owner of H&B actually spoke with me at length on the phone to guide me in solving my problem with Sherwin. I offered to pay him for his time but he refused and just said a review would be great. Lesson learned. I was anxious to get my exercise room built. I even told H&B I wanted to hire them but didn't want to wait until May. Wait for Greg at H&B Construction. Never use DAN SHERWIN. He does not have any business or customer service skills.

Greg does phenomenal work. Everything he touched in our house turned out exactly as we had hoped without any re-work. He was very professional throughout the whole process and was an absolute pleasure to work with. As I work from home, I was around Greg a lot. He is genuinely a great person and we trusted him to continue working while we were out of town. I can't recommend him enough.

We got Greg's contact information from a friend who gave glowing reviews and we're super thankful we got that recommendation! We walked Greg through everything we wanted done and he asked questions we didn't think about and provided helpful solutions to issues we wanted to resolve in the house. He was patient and just the nicest guy all around so we were comfortable and confident he could get the job done. We completely gutted the only full bath and Greg was very planful to time up his tear down and installation so we were only without a place to shower/bathe for one night. He replaced everything (floor, vanity, toilet, tub, tile) and was very careful about cleaning up all the dust after each step. We also completely re-did our kitchen, and he was mindful about not wanting to damage the appliances and to leave the cooking areas as undisturbed as possible. He also custom made a part of our kitchen island where the microwave current sits. Furthermore, Greg did a few Lowe's and Home Depot pickups for us since he has a truck and trailer that can tow some bigger materials we couldn't get with our car. Overall, I really appreciated his attention to detail, his positive attitude, and his adaptability to adjust to new ideas and a changing schedule. He's a diligent and trustworthy person and I would recommend him to anyone who's been wanting to get work done to their home. Also an extra plus is that he's great with dogs (ours loved him!).

Over the years, Greg has completed numerous projects in our home..both inside and out. Polite, excellent craftsmanship and trustworthy are the hallmarks of a top notch professional...Greg has them all! Without a doubt, the best that we have had the pleasure of working with in the metro area. A+++

Greg was fantastic: very kind and helpful, always on time, did amazing work, and always cleaned up afterwards, every day. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. He did phase 1 on my house. Now I have to plan on phase 2, and he will be the one to do it!!! I trust his work and trust him.

We hired Greg for a large third floor remodel project (~1,000+ sq ft) in a 100+ year old home that included adding new drywall, wall/ceiling demolition, skim coating damaged plaster walls, adding walls/framing, patching & repairing wood floors, insulation, window benches (to hide HVAC) and widening of an existing doorway. Greg did a fantastic job on all tasks. His craftsmanship and attention to detail helped us turn what was previously a water damaged, neglected space (with a ton of potential) into an amazing third floor living, bedroom and bathroom space. He was also very flexible and patient with us throughout the project as we made minor adjustments/additions to the work plan. Greg is professional, polite, courteous, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend him for any general remodel projects. Another great benefit of working with Greg was his network of other service providers (electric, HVAC, plumbing), who were all great to work with. The only downside is that he is in high demand and usually booked up 6+ months out.
