Had him recommended to me by a family member, he installed a entire new system in my house. When he left without giving me any kind of paperwork I knew I was in trouble. He literally banged it in place with a sledge hammer and didn’t fabricate the duct work to the new furnace, didn’t change the copper lines to my AC unit in the back. I even had to go out and buy some of the medal tape because there were gaps where the furnace meets the duct work I had to cover. It has since stopped working twice. The first time he came out he told me it was because I wasn’t changing my air filter soon enough. The 2nd time he never actually came out because when he tired to give me the same reasoning again when I had just put a new one in a week prior I just called atlas butler. Turns out he left the manual that comes with a new unit inside the furnace next the heat exchanger. I literally watched the guy from atlas butler open it up and pull it out. I’m lucky my house didn’t burn down. Didn’t adjust the gas pressure at all and when your replacing an older furnace with a new high efficiency one and it’s pumping in to much gas that’s a huge problem. He’s cheep I’ll give him that but it’s not worth it. See pics below.

October 6, 2015 I purchased a service contract from Ron Bryant following service on my air conditioner. Beginning late April, 2016 I started calling to schedule a service call. I have called many times over two months. On only one occasion did I speak to Ron who asked me to call back the next day. I have been unable to reach anyone at Bryant since. Wednesday I left a message requesting a refund of the cost of the service contract. I have not heard from anyone at the company.

I made an appointment with them a week in advance for a tune up because I was moving and needed proof of a servicing for my closing. They called me back a couple of days later and left a message saying they wanted to know if they could reschedule me because of emergency appointments. I called back and let them know I couldn't push my appointment back because I was closing on my house the day after. They said they could not honor my appointment and I had to reschedule because my situation was not considered priority. I asked to speak to a manager and they said there was not one and refused to provide me another number or supervisor. I received a refund but am now left in a bad situation to find a company in just a few days. Horrible company who does not seem to care or be ran efficiently when a single guy is your only point of contact and can't help you.

With natural gas service now available on my road, I needed a conversion on my Bryant furnace from Propane to Natural Gas. I checked GOOGLE for the closest Bryant serviceman and found Bryant Heating and Cooling a mile away at 13191 Jug St, Johnstown, Ohio?I figured I was in luck and scheduled them. Ron completed my furnace conversion, but the natural gas plumbing work was delayed and gas could not be turned on by the time Ron finished. Ron explained that he replaced the orifices & pressure spring and set the ?manifold pressure? to factory specs. He assured my wife the furnace was ready to go once the gas was turned on. When the plumber completed the gas work he and the guy from the gas company told me I was ready for the furnace guy to fire the furnace and set the manifold pressure. Wait, what? I told them Ron had already set the manifold pressure ? They looked at me kind of funny and the gas company guy said it could not be set accurately without the gas being on. He also told me the ?heat rise? would need checked and assured me that neither can be accurately completed without the furnace actually on and heating. Confused I called Ron and explained what they had said. Ron assured me he set the pressure to factory specs and insisted nothing further was needed. Concerned, I started to research this and found numerous internet posts and YouTube videos that all clearly stated to set the manifold pressure you must: (1) Turn on the gas (2) Fire the furnace (3) Set the manifold pressure (special test tool) and (4) Check the heat rise. (?Fire? the furnace means actually having it on and heating) I also read that having the pressure too high or too low would damage the heat exchanger over time, which typically means a buying a new furnace due to high repair cost. I called Ron and explained what I had learned. Ron told me he has been doing this for 27 years and the setting he made would be fine. I insisted he return and check the manifold pressure, but he declined. He eventually became (IMO) unprofessional and actually asked me if I wanted to do his job. I called Bryant Corporate to file a complaint and GUESS WHAT?Ron is not associated with Bryant Service? His last name is Bryant and is a one man shop called Bryant Heating and Cooling. The Bryant Corporation does not even list him as a service provider and suggested I call a real Bryant furnace rep to come out and check my furnace. I called a REAL Bryant serviceman from the Bryant website and they came right out. NOW GUESS WHAT - The furnace would not even come on! Seems Ron forgot to re-reconnect a wire? And when the manifold pressure was checked it was at 1.89 W/C?factory specs call for a setting between 3.2 and 3.8 W/C. This would have DEFINITELY caused my furnace to not function properly and would have likely ruined the heat exchanger leading me to buy a new furnace? Not good! I wonder how many other times Ron has made this mistake in his 27 years of experience. I am certainly not qualified to do Ron?s job as he suggested, but from this experience I don?t believe he is either.

Came out to inspect the Protect Duct Mount Electronic Air Cleaner. The filter was taken out and put in upside down by homeowner. Call Bryant to see if they could help. Said yes they would come take a look. It tool several calls, but finally showed up. Was charged $120 without knowing I would be charged that amount. Bryant did a unsatisfactory job. I asked if it was working and was told yes. Turned on air and the filter does not work. I also have a gaping hold in the return part of the furnace. The electronic air cleaner is not in the same condition was when they arrived. Made another call said will be out Monday July 7th at noon. It is now 1 PM no show no call.

I called Bryant at 10:30 this morning and they were on site before 11:00. After a few minutes looking at the unit in the basement and the wall panel he found the problem was in the wiring. 20 minutes and a few wire nuts and the system was back up and running. I'm very happy with the speed and excellent service. I didn't even worry about my home warranty with how quick and simple the issue was resolved. Thanks! I'm very happy with the service.

Description of Work: We called Bryant heating and cooling because our AC was not working on 5/2012. We were specifically told at the time of the making the appt. that no work would be done until they gave us an estimate. That did not happen next thing we knew they came in and gave us a bill without our consent to proceed. Our AC went out 2 days ago we called another company who I have dealt with for years and to our surprise we had been scammed. Bryant Heating said they changed a relay which is not correct it is called a pul contactor but it was never changed but we were charged. We are now proceeding with legal actions against this company and I hope NO ONE EVER CALLS THEM. They lied to us and took advantage of us. Bryant Heating, cooling and refrigeration.

First issue to address is the incorrect address you've listed. My records show a repair on Grimes Rd in Columbus, I have no records of any repairs completed in Hebron. So I will assume the address was misrepresented in your complaint. With that being said, if you were not satisfied with the estimate you were quoted why was this not brought to our attention at the time of service or in a more timely fashion? You were given a verbal estimate at the time of service before any work was started. Your complaint states the part in question was a contactor located on the outside unit. The part we replaced is located in the furnace for the inside blower motor, not on the outside unit as your stating. The repairs made as noted on invoice are as follows: Replaced blower motor relay, part cost $26.10, Replaced one 5 amp fuse, part cost $1.00, Upon start up unit was low on freon, we added 2.5 lbs of freon, cost $125.00. Performed leak check, no leaks found. The repairs made furthermore came with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. The system was in good working condition when we left back on May 3rd, it is now July 7th. We have had inclimate weather in the last week causing many power outages and surges that have effected many A/C systems. It does seem somewhat suspect that you are just now filing a complaint on our repair made back on May 3rd. If indeed our repair failed , we warranty all repairs, parts and labor for 5 years, excluding acts of God, and would have been more than happy to come out and take a look, free of charge. However, we were not given that opportunity. We would however welcome the opportunity to meet with the licensed contactor you hired to make your recent repair to assure we are referring to the part in question. Please contact us should you decide to faciliate the meeting. We take any complaint seriously as our customer satification is our number one goal. Ron Bryant Owner especially after all the power outages and power surges across the columbus area in the past week.we stand behind all our repairs for 5 years parts and labor.why werent we called back?now that another company has worked on your unit the warranty is now voided.to sum up your complaint seems very odd after 2 months your just now filing a complaint.if there was a problem about an estimate you should have adressed it at that time. Ron Bryant owner.

Description of Work: I have used Bryant 2 times with equally horrific charges. First time was to add refrigerant. The cost was $620. He suggested I buy a maitenance contract from him to reduce costs ($300) so total bill was $920. He was suppose to change out filters and clean out the system. He was a no show. I suggested he drop off the filters and I would do it myself. He never did until my wife called him to replace the fan in the furnace which burned out. I asked him how much for the part and how much all in. He said $588 for the part and that the total cost was going to be $638. When I got home my wife had paid $797, I went online and discovered the part cost $269.66 retail not $588. Anyway, you get the picture..... I have written him off.

He was here for 40 minutes. He handed me the old part in the box that new part that came in. After looking at this package I was charged $450 for, I was searching on the internet I found the most expensive price being $146 for the exact same part. I called him and asked about the difference in price, he explained that he had a receipt for the part. I asked to see the receipt, however he said had to go back to the office to get it. I asked him not to cash my check before getting back to me. When he got back to me, he said part of the reason why it was more expensive was that it was shipped overnight. However, the package was only about 4" x 6" so that would not have made up for the difference in price which I found online. I asked him again not to cash my check, but when I went online to check my account I saw that it had been cashed right after talking to me. When I called back, he wasn't answering. I left a message explaining that I had asked him not to do that before we could figure out the charges. When I called the bank, they said that it was currently on hold and couldn't tell if it had been cashed or just deposited. She said that it was too late to do a stop payment. I'm currently waiting to hear back from him.

what the client has failed to state was that she wanted it repaired asap before leaving to go out of town and the part had to be overnighted to our facility so the repair could be made.she also didnt state that we had to be at her residence 2 times once for diagnoses and the second for the repair.total hours locating part and paying for overnight freight and actual replacement was 2.5 hrs.also all our parts come with a 2 year parts and labor warranty.

American Home Shield (our warranty provider) submitted the work order to Bryant Heating and Cooling (BHC). I had heard the name before so I was hopeful it would be a good experience. Quite the opposite. I cannot express how frustrating and unprofessional my interaction was with this company. First, BHC called to set up the appointment and I could tell this wasn't going to go well. He was terse right off the bat but I initially wrote it off as him being extremely overwhelmed with service calls due to the recent heat wave. He could only commit to coming out the following day sometime between 8 and noon. I asked for something sooner and he would only offer an earlier time if we'd commit to having someone at the house all day long so he could drop in between other calls. He wouldn't be able to call ahead. Both my wife and I work and we couldn't meet that requirement so I agreed to an appointment between 8 am and noon the following day. BHC called about 8 am the next day and said he'd be there between 8 am and noon. My wife spoke with him so I asked if she could call back and have him call me an hour or so before he thought he'd be there so we'd be there in plenty of time to let him in as well as not have to take a half day off work. He responded to her (again tersely) that he'd be there by 11:15. Again, my wife and I work and have a child who is in daycare. My wife was in a meeting that morning and so I was the only one available to take our child to daycare with the intent on returning to our house and waiting for BHC. Round trip 20 minutes max. Considering the wide window of the appointment and how BHC phrased it with "by 11:15" I was confident I'd be able to acomplish this with minimal risk of missing BHC. We left for daycare about 8:50 that moring. At 8:57 am I received a call as I was pulling into daycare from BHC. He was obviously agitated that he was at my residence and no one was there. I explained to him that we were given a 3 hour window in which to expect him, that I had to take my daughter to daycare. He said "the 3-hour window is the best I can do." Now, I've worked with a number of service people and not a single one has EVER not been willing to call when in route or give me a reasonable expectation for when they'd arrive. I don't think in the era of the cell phone this is asking too much. I responded that needing to leave to take my child to day care a task that takes only a few minutes "was the best that I could do--since I have no reasonable window with which to expect you." His response was "well we'll need to re-schedule." My reply was that "we'd NOT be rescheduling..i'll be there in 10 minutes. Thank you". I hung up the phone, rushed my child into daycare and drove home. I was there within 10 maybe 11 (but not more) minutes of me ending the phone call with BHC. Needless to say he wasn't at my house when I returned. I called and he said he left after 10 minutes. I reported this to American Home Shield. They investigated and said (after speaking with him) that he'd be "willing to re-schedule for tomorrow." I told them BHC will never step foot in our house. They abliged and set me up with another heating and cooling company.

Bryant heating no longer does work for american homeshield due to scheduling problems and their lack of correspondense with their customers and denying claims that should have been paid for by ahs. bryant heating strives to keeping our customers happy at all costs but when a third party is involved we found that its next to impossible to do,therefore we no longer will do work with ahs.

I had to call the third party and get a new vendor, and a new work order. 24 hours totally wasted just trying to get Bryant to schedule a repair visit. Again, dont bother with this one.
Description of Work: TThe service to be provided is through a third party. Their first visit was $60.00 to show up. They came added a little coolant to the a/c system got the check and left - no paperwork, checking out the system, etc. The whole thing took 10 minutes. About 20 days later the compressor was not turning on. Since it was within a contractural time frame the third party sent them the work order, and an additional visiting fee was not to be charged. I called in and they said they had not gotten the work order. I called the third party and had them fax another work order. I called them about 2 hours later to verify that the work order and correct contact number had reached them a got voice mail and left message including correct contact and work order numbers. About 3 hours later I called again, having heard nothing, and the same voice as I had heard twice before tried to tell me he was the answering service, put me on hold and hung up. Dont bother with this company.
