I bought the deal offering 8 hours of painting. I asked them to paint the ceilings in 2 rooms. The painters arrived on time, carefully covered all furniture and worked hard to complete the work in the time allotted. I would call them again even without the deal.

I used an Angie's List big deal for $125 to strip the wallpaper in my small masterbath. The area around the sink, up to the bathtub, was all that was papered. Because of all of the corners and mirrors, etc., I did not want to attempt the job myself. When I talked with Kevin initially, he clarified that if the job took more than the 4 hour alottment, then I would be charged the full rate for the extra work. That was fine. Kevin came at the scheduled time, I showed him what needed to be done and he got right to work. As has been typical in this house, the wall under the wallpaper had not been finished correctly, which left a real mess when he stripped the paper. Corners needed to be taped, some areas needed re-plastered and shelving fixtures had been hung with incorrect screws and could not be removed easily. I asked Kevin to give me a quote on completing the work and painting the master bedroom as well. My house had just been put on the market and I was anxious to have the work completed as quickly as possible. He told me he would have to rearrange his schedule but would get it done as soon as he could. He said that he would try to come back the following Saturday but would be there for sure on Thursday. He did not come or call on Saturday. When I called him, he apologized and said that he would be here Thursday, which he was. He also gave me a quote of $500 to finish the work which he said was a significant discount from his usual rate. In total, he was at my house 1 whole day and twice for 1/2 day. Kevin was very nice and I would have liked to have been able to give him A's for all areas. But there were many little things and finishing touches just not done. Several places behind doors and in corners were not painted. The edge of some of the plaster work was left very rough. He did not want to touch or do anything about the painted electrical outlets and outlet covers. Screws were missing from outlet covers. He forgot to order the paint from the paint store so I had to convince them that it was to be invoiced through his company and wait for it to be mixed. He did not rehang a bathroom mirror. It looks good, but not as "finished" as I expected it to look when I hired a professional painter.

Kevin finished the job in about 9 hours, but only charged me for 8 since that's what his quote was (4 from coupon; 4 new hours). Kevin was hardworking and professional. It took a lot of elbow grease to get this wallpaper removed. He cleaned everything up when he was done. I'm glad I hired him instead of trying it myself. This was well worth the money! We need to do a little speckling in a few places, but after that, the room will be ready for painting!

After a rambunctious puppy hit the wall too hard during a romp through the house, I needed some drywall repair. I saw and bought a "Big Deal" certificate in December. Kevin asked for a picture of the hole so he would have the right supplies and we scheduled the work for after the holidays. Kevin arrived as scheduled and performed the big repair and some minor patching work, describing the process and telling me exactly how to sand the repairs after drying and before painting. Kevin did a good job, I definitely got my money's worth and would use this Company again.

He arrived on time, quickly got to work removed the paper as requested and even gave me tips to help the painting of the wall go smoother. Clean up was very well don.

I contacted Kevin via email for an estimate. He was very responsive and took details about the rooms' measurements, etc. over the phone. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly Kevin was able to schedule the job - I sent my email on Sunday and the job was scheduled for that Thursday - much quicker than I expected, but most appreciated! On the day of the job, Kevin and another painter arrived a few minutes early and got right to work. They taped off the woodwork, didn't need to sand the walls, and had the first coat on each room within a few hours. The paint dried quickly, so they were able to apply the second coat and be finished in just over 3 hours. They also did a great job cleaning up, even using a broom to sweep afterward. The job took less time than Kevin had anticipated, so he kindly adjusted the price to fit the actual work it required. I couldn't be happier with the results, and will definitely call Painting Excellence again for future jobs.

I respond to a deal package. I was told they have done remove popcorn ceilings several times. So I agreed to allow them to start the project using the deal package and would let them finish the project paying the higher fee. I requested for them to provide two references so I could do a quick review since I could not see anyone commenting on them removing popcorn ceilings. After waiting a week, I finally received a response thanking he could not locate anyone he could provide for a reference.

Overall, the rooms look nice so I am pleased with the outcome. However, it was difficult coordinating with the owner as he seemed overwhlemed with the response to his "big deal" offer. Secondly, they got paint on an existing window treatment. They did take a little off to compensate but the fact is you can still see the markings. Based on my overall experience, I probably would not hire them again.

The service performed went very well. Painters were very professional and friendly.

Mde contact with Kevin regarding the Big Deal special of 1299.00 for exterior painting. From the start of the conversation he was unwilling to listen to what I had to say. Asked the year of the house and since the home was built in 1900 really didn't want anything to do with the job. So instead of just saying that he was not interested in bidding he rambled on for 10 minutes on paint procedures. Our particular house was brick and had not been painted pre 1978....clearly he did not want the business. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I got the impression that he did not want to waste his time.

IKevin, the owner, contacted me and came over to assess the job.He told me what type of paint to purchase and we set a date. I needed my house powerwashed and he indicated his company did that as well, so we agreed on a price and a date for that to be done. He powerwashed the house within a week of meeting with me, and did a great job. About a week later, he and his partner came and did the interior painting. They did an excellent job, and I plan to have them come back next year to powerwash the house again.

Overall, the paint job went well, but a big red flag for me was that the holes were not patched as the deal specified. The painters said that they assumed that everything would go back in the places where they had originally been, but I had bought new fixtures which I planned to place in slightly different locations. (I had left my phone number, so they could have called me to confirm.) We ended up having to patch and fill our own holes, which I felt was a problem given that we had paid for patching. Be sure to be explicit when giving instructions about your paint job.

It was great. The guy was really good. I would highly recommend him. He was always on time and was very professional.

Kevin and his crew, Richard and Dennis, did a great job on the outside of my house. In very short notice and working with weather constraints they were able to power wash the house and paint the house in less than a week with a lot of attention to detail. Kevin made suggestions on durable paint brands that were helpful. They showed up each day on time, let me know when they were leaving and cleaned everything up. I have suggested Painting Excellence to neighbors. I would use them again.

Kevin along with his crew, Richard and Dennis, did a fantastic job! Kevin was easy and flexible to schedule with, showed up on time each day, took everything off the walls, cleaned and swept up each day then put everything back in its place when finished. No paint splatter left over. All of the trim was sanded before painting. Pricing was very reasonable. I was very happy with Kevin and his crew's overall work and have recommended Painting Excellence to neighbors who have also had good things to say.

I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List to paint our basement rec room. I also wanted the upstairs hall bathroom painted. Kevin called within a week of my purchase to see when I wanted to use my Big Deal. I was in no hurry, so we schedule the job a couple of months later. He came out to give an estimate of the additonal work, suggest paint colors and type of paint. He let me use his contractors discount to purchase the paint. The day of painting, they were running late due to 270 traffic. They called inroute to tell me that they were running late. When they arrived, they started right away and worked well together to tape the walls and do the brush work. We were happy with their work and the basement and bathroom looked great.

I said I was in a hurry to have the work done, so the owner of this company got to the job quickly and did a good job. He is a very fast painter. I am quite satisfied with the work. I'd rate the overall experience B++, but there are no plus signs in this evaluation.

There was absolutely no attention to detail at all. After the paint dried we discovered that they painted around a refrigerator and not the walls behind. They also painted the walls with a roller but did not paint the edges at the top or bottom of the walls or in the corners. I needed to have the work re-done by another contractor. Probably the worst job I have ever seen.

Kevin gave our neglected deck new life. His suggested color and treatment options that would match the surrounding landscaping. The overall experience was smooth, and Kevin answered my questions about the deck's general condition and how to maintain it. I was very happy with the result.

After living in our home for 2 years, my husband and I finally got around having our master bed and bath painted after my husband purchased a Groupon for a day of interior painting. After exchanging some phone calls and emails, Kevin (owner, project manager) was able to come out to look at the space and give us an estimate. The price he quoted us was fair and we were able use his discount at Sherwin Williams to get a better price per gallon on the paint - he'll call in the order for you and you just go pick it up. On the day of the painting, Kevin and another team member arrived on time and started to work right away. I was impressed on the amount of time they spent prepping the walls (sanding, patching, taping) and the results look great. My husband and I have an insanely busy and unpredictable schedule and we appreciated that Kevin and his crew were able to come out on a weekend to do the work. We would recommend them.

Our experience with Painting Excellence was great. Kevin quoted the job two weeks ago. We found a time that worked for both of our schedules. We stayed in contact leading up to today becuase there was a chance of rain this morning -- but luckily the weather held out and they were able to get the job started and completed in just 5 hours. He would have been finished in 4 hours, except the cool weather didn't allow the paint to try as quickly as anticipated. After a break for lunch, they were able to apply the 2nd coat on the shutters and they turned out great. They look brand new. We will definitely use them again. Extremely affordable, nice guys that truly take pride in their work. No drips or spills on the house. Thanks for giving the house that extra bump in curb appeal. Great job!

Kevin stated they were swamped with work from the Angie's List deal, but we were able to get it scheduled in an acceptable time period. That was about the only good part of the experience. I had offered to go and buy the paint myself so it was ready for him the morning he came to do the work. Sherwin-Williams did not have his company on file so I was not able to do this. Instead Kevin said he would pick up the paint on the way to my house . Apparently Sherwin-Williams did not open at the time they were supposed to be open and Kevin arrived at my house without the paint. He left his co-worker at my house to start prepping while he left to go get the paint. He was gone approximately an hour which he did not credit me for. Instead he ended up charging my wife an additional $100 ( UPDATE $200) to work over about an hour to "finish" painting the room (I was not home while the work was being done). Instead of charging extra to finish the job, I should have been credited for the time he spent running around getting the paint. The room was definitely NOT finished. Some corners of the room were not painted at all and the trim painting by the ceiling, corners, and baseboards had only one coat of paint and you could see through it. Honestly I've seen better paint jobs having painting parties with friends. I didn't have a problem paying a little extra to get the work done, but it was far from a finished paint job. I ended up having to spend another 2 hours to finish painting it myself. I wish I would have been there to supervise, but instead I feel like they took advantage of my wife in my absence and had her pay them extra...and they didn't even finish the job! UPDATE: I stand by what I wrote. And although my wife may have said it looked fine she obviously did not look at the entire room and would not have felt comfortable with the confrontation. I offered to get the paint myself which I already mentioned and you called me the morning of the work to ask me if YOU bought the paint already (I'm supposed to know that?). There were some corners not painted at all and multiple spots where you could see through the paint. I did not respond until 2 months later because I got married the a few days after you completed the work and was on my honeymoon for 2+ weeks following that. Angie's List reminded me to submit the report and here it is. And you did charge me for the paint separately on top of not crediting us with the hour you spent going out to get the paint AND the additional charge to "finish the job". I had no problem paying extra as I already said. My wife wrote you a check for an additional $331.69 (including the price for paint of approximately $130) on top of the $250 I already paid for the Big Deal and the work was still not completed. My wife and I had to spend 2 hours finishing the job ourselves 2 days before our wedding. I have pictures of the incomplete work. I'm not asking for anything in return, but the work deserves a very poor rating. The job should be done right the 1st time.

Kevin and his assistant arrived on time (8:30 am) and went right to work. Their work was excellent and was completed in five hours. Because my ceiling slants to 12 feet, Kevin estimated that the work would take five hours rather than the four hours included with the Angie's List coupon. This resulted in an extra $90 for the additional hour. Both men were very professional and wasted no time in getting started. When they were finished, they put the furniture back exactly where they found it and cleaned their work area. I hardly knew they were in my home. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and would recommend them highly.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. We scheduled a time for Kevin to come to my home and look at the job, which he missed entirely. We rescheduled for another day after he finished a job he was doing and he showed up at the one time I had told him I would have to leave the house, so the appointment was rushed. On the scheduled work day, he and an assistant arrived almost an hour late did not call ahead. My Deal was for 8 man-hours of professional painting and I noticed at different times that his assistant was not working, either watching Kevin or sitting in their truck. Almost on the dot after 4 hours, they were packing up and Kevin said he could come the next day and finish the job in a few hours at the special rate. When I expressed that I did not feel I had received my 8 hours because his assistant was not consistently working, he said he would give me an additional hour free. In the end, the work that was done was very good and the groove left by the chair rail is pretty much invisible. But I'm still not sure I received 8 hours of professional painting and don't like feeling that I have to closely monitor workers I hire to ensure I get what I paid for.
