BILL ALLEN CONSTRUCTION CO

First contacted him last May. Paid him half the money for the roof. Didn't hear from him for a month. He wouldn't answer either of his phones. I had to go to his house and threaten to call the newspaper about a con artist. He finally did the roof and it seemed ok. So he came back about two months later and did the driveway. That took at least a week. It is the worst drivewau I have ever seen. It was not finished and cleaned. It goes up hill on one side and has a joint on one side and not the other. When it rains, water runs down behind the gutters in the corners where the porch roof and house join. I found out today, there is no drip edge.

From the start it never went well. We had to tear off a room on the back of the house to make room to dig a footer and start building. It took the men 6 weeks to tear off the room that should have took 2 days. The men was tearing it off piece by piece probably to reuse somewhere else. We kept asking what was taking so long Mr Allen was telling us his back hoe was broken anyway he was trying to get it fixed to dig the footer. From April to 23 too June 5 we waited and kept asking Bill to rent one. He said he could not afford it. So we got another excavater to come and dig our footer. First major problem because Bill had gotten the first draw of money and we had to pay someone else to get the footer dug and get the build going. Everyday we would come home from work and see nothing done you could never get a hold of Bill. When you did he lied so much he would promise workers would be there tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes. We re roofed the existing house it took them six weeks to finish the roof job. Two leaks happened into the house. Never professional always using your money on other peoples jobs. He never respects you as the home owner and NEVER likes it when you question him and catch him up in lies. After my husband question him the last time he had his men pack up all materials that our money paid for and leave our property. The soffit and metal work is half done. He ordered our brick but never paid for it! The electric that they started was NOT done by a licensed person so we had to hire others to correct All the major issues with the build!
