When we noticed a leak on our second floor roof in the spring, we called out 8 different roofing contractors to bid on our roof replacement project. We originally selected 3 contractors, but they proved to be unsatisfactory in their knowledge and attitude toward us. The first roofing contractor wanted to install a second roof on top of our old roof (with a top dollar price tag). A second roofing contractor wanted to change all of our soffits and trim to another color brown because he said our current brown color no longer existed (not true, our brown color was still available at a local DIY store). The third roofing company said they did not do soffit replacement, and a fourth roofing company did not do gutter replacement, meaning you now have to find a secondary contractor to finish the job. Another roofer gave us a bid that was very low because he forgot to include many items in his contract that we requested. Two roofing companies gave us their bids, then never called us back when we had questions about our project. One roofer who we thought was the most promising took offense that we asked him questions about his 6 page contract of which 3 pages was language about damages that he would NOT cover if his company caused them. After an exhaustive search, we finally found Modern Roofing! Owner Nick Aniperko was the most professional and courteous roofing contractor we had ever met! He answered all of our questions and explained every part of the roofing process to us. He was honest with us as to his roofing work schedule, and his price was reasonable for his quality materials. All of his roofing workers are his own employees....NO subcontractors. Our new roof installation took 3 days to complete, and Nick was on the job site every day. Nick was very professional and thorough. He was even present to speak to my insurance adjuster prior to the estimate. All work was done in two days and they even stayed late to finish the job. They cleaned up and and put all outdoor furniture back in place.

Everything was fantastic and I will use Modern Roofing when it is time to replace my roof without hesitation. Nick, the owner, is amazing and really believes in doing a quality job and it shows. I contacted several roofing companies. Nick with Modern Roofing stood out as the best very quickly. I had two companies with great Angie's list reviews come out and look at my sunroom roof leak in addition to Nick, who was suggested by a friend who used him before. I asked each to quote resolving the leak as well as resolving any issues with the main roof since I just bought the house and the house inspector suggested a tune-up in his report. The other two companies... One barely was on my roof for two minutes before doing the quote and the other didn't even get on my roof...just eyeballed it from the ground! I didn't feel like either company even knew what really needed to be done to the roof and their quotes reflected that vagueness. Nick at Modern Roofing talked to me for several minutes about what I was concerned about and then got on the roof and carefully inspected the entire roof. He talked to me while up on the roof so he could show me where the leak was originating from. Once on the ground he explained the issues and how he would recommend resolving them. I asked about a different company's suggestion and he explained why that wouldn't be a good solution based on the way my roof is structured and that product's application process. He really demonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness, and product knowledge. It was also clear he was suggesting the solution that would be best for me and not what would make him the most money. He earned my trust. His proposal was specific and detailed. Once I returned the signed proposal, Nick was prompt to call and let me know I was on the schedule, he made sure to call to let me know when the guys were coming out so I knew to expect them, and they came out exactly when he said they would. They cleaned up after themselves and there was no sign that they'd been there. The next day, Nick called and asked if he could come inspect the work. He came out and checked the work thoroughly before accepting payment for the work. He decided to apply a bit more caulk to an area and did it on the spot. How many owners inspect the work before taking your money? Nick does! Call Nick for a quote. He really does care about his customers and doing a great job.

Nick's first trip out was to assess a leak that had developed. Our roof was very old and had 2 layers so we knew it needed to be replaced eventually. Nick patched the badly worn area while we waited for the insurance company to assess the hail damage that was also pointed out by Nick. Once engaged for the roof replacement, the crew was in and out. Very professional, nice, and cleaned everything up...I couldn't of asked for more. About 5 months later, I was out mowing the lawn when Nick (owner) personally stopped over. He hopped on the roof and did a physical inspection to make sure everything was ok. Quality service and the follow up check was also appreciated. We've recommended Modern Roofing to several friends and family and will continue to do so.

Nick and his crew were punctual, explained what they were doing, cleaned up every day before they left, called with any changes that needed to be done. He guarentees his work. It was a great experience dealing with Nick. We highly recommend him for anyone who needs any repairs or replacements for their roofing.
