Nothing short of perfection!! Beyond all expectations!! The finish is superb, a real work of art! The vanity is built like a tank. No garbage like you find in all the box stores! The last one I'll ever have to buy for that room. You will never find quality & craftsmanship like this at this cost ANYWHERE! The vanity was so nice I had to re-do the rest of the bathroom. Bill is now working on a matching toilet topper.
Description of Work: Bill custom made a ( masterpiece) vanity for my bathroom.

Someone had requested me to make a box that they needed to put the remains of their loved one who had passed away. I tried to make it but in vain so I took it to A J Enterprises and they did a wonderful job. It was absolutely beautiful. When I handed over the box to them they were very pleased. I had the dimensions for the interior box that had to go into the wooden box and he got me a wooden box. He pays attention to the detail and does a fine job. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: I went to A J Enterprises for having a box made.

Someone in the family asked me to make a box to hold someone's ashes. They gave me the outside dimensions of the box. I made one, but was not happy with my work. Since Bill Byler of AJ Enterprises had just completed our kitchen cabinets, I thought he could help. He was glad to do it and got the box done in two days. It was made a lot better than the one I did with expert corners and finishes. Neither of us knew exactly what such a box should look like. Bill called a couple of funeral homes and got some information from them and then proceeded to make the box. They told him they sell boxes like this for $170 and up.
Description of Work: Constructed a box to go inside an urn for remains.

We had custom cabinets made by Bill Byler, the owner of AJ Enterprises. We had estimates from companies that do cabinet refacing and realized that if we were going to spend that much money we might as well get custom cabinets made at about the same price. We also had the cabinets enlarged and added an additional cupboard, something we could not do with the refacing companies. The result is, we got more cabinet space and better cabinets than we had before. We wanted clear, natural maple and are very happy with our choice. None of the refacing companies had an appropriate color choice as good as what Bill was able to provide. One reason why I downgraded him on the responsiveness category is the following. We spent a couple hours with him going over what we wanted including having him come to the house to check out the measurements and changes from our old cabinets. In the middle of March we signed the contract and he said he could get it done by the end of April. That date passed and the first week of May I called him, and he had not started the job yet!!! In fact, he needed reminding about who we were and what the job was. When he realized that he had forgotten about our job he was very apologetic and embarrassed. He changed the date to early June. Luckily, none of these delays really caused an inconvenience on our part. In the construction of the cabinets, he also made an error. He made one floor cabinet 6 inches too wide. Again, we were lucky in that it was at the end of a peninsula and we had the room to accommodate the bigger cabinet. In fact, we are glad we have it. If it had not worked out the way it did, he would have had to re-do that cabinet which would have been costly and time consuming, for him. In fact, I'm glad he made that error because that larger cabinet really works out well. I wish I would have thought about it myself when I had other cabinets made larger. His error did mean that we could not use our old laminate countertop because it was now 6 inches too short. We were probably going to get new countertops anyway, but his error certainly forced the issue. So, it will be a $4000 error as we are now making plans for new granite countertops. But, that would have happened anyway, I'm sure. If considering having Bill do work you, it is important to know that he is Amish. If you are too far from Middlefield or Huntsburg, Ohio, you might have transportation issues. We live only 15 minutes from his shop so it was not a problem for us. We also had him install the cabinets. He does not do plumbing or electrical work so that has to be taken into consideration also. The price listed above includes the delivery and installation costs. ($600) We were glad he did the installation because we were witness to the attention to detail and the care of his work as he did the job. It was only when my plumber/electrician helper put the old counter back on that we realized the construction error had been made. Again, it happened at the end of a peninsula so it really didn't matter and in fact came out better than I had planned originally planned.
Description of Work: Bill Byler, the owner of AJ Enterprises, made custom, clear, natural maple cupboards and cabinets for our kitchen. He did the installation as well.
