Very pleased with service. I ordered the topsoil Tuesday afternoon and they delivered Thursday morning during the time they specified. Delivery driver was very helpful, dumping the soil exactly where I asked it to be placed (next to the driveway, near where the topsoil needs to be spread).
Description of Work: Delivered topsoil.

It was an unforgettably bad experience. The really sad part is that I have used them before and they were recommended by our local garden center. As a result of this episode I went to the garden center and gave them a written synopsis and asked them not to recommend Sagamore any longer. They were glad to hear of the feedback and committed to start recommending another company or one of the other places. First of all, they came at a time I told them not to. I was pulling out of the driveway to take someone to the doctor's office. Second, they came in a 20 ton truck after I had had specifically called and talked to them about only coming on my driveway with a smaller truck 5 or 6 ton truck, which they promised but the driver said they had something else that came up and they took that truck elsewhere that morning. Third, I was gone an hour and when I returned, the driver was gone and our professional basketball hoop and pole that were sunk in 2 ft of concrete at the edge of the drive were leaning at an angle. Forth, about a 3 ft spot in my driveway was cracked and the pavement was in chunks. Fifth, I emailed photos to the manager and called the office. The guy I spoke to said that it was impossible for them to have caused the damage and I couldn't prove it because I wasn't there to see the guy dump the load. He later called back and said he had spoken to the driver who denied hitting our basketball pole, therefore it didn't happen and I must be trying to get them to pay for things that I had caused myself. I pointed out that hitting a pole set in 2 feet of concrete would cause considerable damage to my bumper, which was undamaged. I pointed out that we had agreed they would bring a lighter truck onto my driveway and he agreed they would send someone to inspect in person. We set a time. At that time I waited outside and they never showed up. I started calling them a few days later and was informed that I was trying to scam them into fixing my driveway because there was no way that driveway damage was new. We argued back and forth for months and we sent letters and more photos to the owners of Sagamore Soils. They completely ignored us except for the time I called the manager in Hudson again and he yelled at me on the phone that they were sick of people like me trying to blame all our problems on them. We finally wrote and complained to the Better Business Bureau and the owner contacted us and offered $150 if we would retract the complaint. It was clear that was all we were going to get. It cost us $325 to have a company come out and dig up the pavement and base and re-lay it, another $300 for a basketball hoop, and a trip to the dump to get rid of the giant hunk of concrete and sawed off basketball pole. And their product was not all that great either. The soil mix I ordered was absolutely full of field weed seeds which I've been pulling and digging ever since.
Description of Work: Delivered mulch, topsoil and leaf humus for $300. Property damage around $800.

I have purchased a variety of soils and mulch products from them. The mulch is always clean, well shredded and does not contain any junk in it. The garden soil mix is the best you can find. It has a great mix of sand, humus and of course soil. They have a variety of items in their store as well. No one else product compares to Sagamore Soil!
Description of Work: They provide the highest quality of hardwood mulch available. They also have several types of soil mixes available, depending on your project.
