The owner is Larry Townsend. My garage door crashed in a major way. He came and fixed it but after a while we could hear a cracking noise in the doors. After a year and a half it turned out that it was not done properly. There was a major crack in the top panel. We called him again and he convinced my husband that it was the fault with the garage doors when they were initially installed and that it was not his fault at all. The workmanship was very bad and they lied to us.

Original opener was 10 years old and no longer worked. He first identified that the gears in the opener did not work and gave me three options for the type of replacements available. When I told him I would be selling within the year he recommend the best opener for the least amount of money. Ordered new opener and he came back one week later to install. Very friendly and professional. He completed the work in 45 minutes and also greased and oiled the second garage door. I would definitely use his services again.

Everything went very well. Larry showed up early and got to work immediately. He was very polite and patiently answered all of my questions. Larry was honest and explained that there was nothing wrong with the opener, just that it needed some minor adjustments and some lubrication. He showed me how to fix it the next time this happens. He also gave me a tube of lubrication for free. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this company was that they were able to come to my home the day after I called to schedule an appointment (before I called LW Townsend Co, I called a different service provider, who told me that the next available appointment would be in 3 weeks; what a joke!). I will definitely call LW Townsend in the future.

The garage door opener was causing intermittent problems. We scheduled an appointment for the next day that I was off work. The service man came when scheduled and was able to immediately diagnose what was wrong from my description (even though the opener was working at that time). We were given options and decided to have the opener replaced since it was 12 years old. The company worked around my work schedule, completed the job when they said they would, cleaned up their work area (and even brought in my trash can from the curb). We are pleased with the quality of the garage door opener itself and with the workmanship in installing it. I would call them back for any further service to the door or the opener.

I was very pleased with this company! The rep showed up on time for the bid. He looked over everything and showed me a rotten support beam that he said they would replace in order to install the new door system. He said that many companies will not work on old garages, but that he could see that this garage was sound and that he was willing to take on the extra problems. The door was ordered and the company showed up on time the day of installation. It only took them a half day to install and remove all the debris. They put a sticker on the back of the door with contact information and I signed up for a yearly service visit. I am very pleased with their work ethic and would recommend them to anyone who needs a new garage door.

He was professional, prompt and knowledgeable. He is reasonable, he isn't cheap but he does not overcharge either. He gives you an estimate and that is what it costs--honest. Would recommend.

I showed up for the quote and installation appointment right on time. Larry did the work himself and was very neat and professional. He asked if we wanted any of the old parts before hauling everything away with him. He cleaned up after himself very nicely. The Torsion springs were binding up slightly and he came back and lubricated them as soon as we called with no attitude at all. He used galvanized springs that other companies wanted to charge extra for. He was very polite and wanted to insure the installation was to our satisfaction.
