DUST BUSTERS

This experience is why Angie's list exists... I have been looking regularly for a reputable cleaning service to come to my new home twice a month. The service I was using does not service my area so I went on Angie's list and found that many of the high-quality providers are simply booked up and do not except "new" standing appointments. My search criteria only shows companies with A ratings so "dust busters" never came up when I did a search, I wish I would have seen the reviews in the F rating before I wasted my time talking to them. I received one of those little value pack flyers in the mail so I called and spoke to the owner Kim. This woman is shockingly rude and uncouth, for person answering her own phones you would think she would go out of her way to be polite and courteous when a prospect calls off of one of their advertisements. Notwithstanding that I still need someone to clean my house so I agreed to set an appointment for December 27 at 11 AM. 11 AM comes and goes, I called her, she answers the phone and when I identified myself response was "yeah"? I reminded her that we had an appointment and she said "I told you I would be there after my first appointment and that got moved to 11". I had to fight off laughing... considering that I have no knowledge of her personal schedule let alone that she accepted an appointment when she was supposed to be at my house, why would this person not pick up the phone and tell me that it was going to be later? I made it very clear to her that I was unavailable in the afternoon and that the morning was me accommodating her schedule. Here is the bottom line? Don't call this company, even if they offer to do it for free, it's not worth it. You cannot trust someone who isn't responsible enough to reschedule appointments let alone who gets defensive and rude when a prospective client calls because she stood up an appointment. I can say with 100% certainty that she earned the F rating that she has on Angie's list.

The young lady who came to clean said she lives near me and was very friendly so I hesitate to write this review. Nonetheless, I was very disappointed with the service. I was told that the cost of the service was $25.00 per hour and I had a coupon for $10.00 off the price. So I wrote a check for $65.00 up front and tipped the lady as well. Note that she had cleaned for me once before and the service was a better the first time. However, the first time was only to clean my basement. This time I asked her to clean part of the living room, kitchen and dining area and a sunroom and two small bathrooms. She said she was done in barely over an hour and was leaving. I thanked her, thinking she must has cleaned like lightning. When I came down the stairs my feelings were hurt to think that I paid for a nice cleaning. Many items in the kitchen area were not even dusted. So much was left undone that I have decided to just clean my own home for awhile. P. S. I am not picky and have had cleaning people do excellent work before I moved out here. I feel that Dustbusters has not properly trained their employee how to spend three hours cleaning a house. I do not want to get the nice lady in trouble, because I believe she thought the house was clean enough, and simply needs more training.

Cleaning wasn't bad but I need a company I can trust. They lost my confidence

I had Dirtbusters for years, my first team was professional, took pride in their work, friendly, and did a great job. Since than the teams have been just the opposite. I frequently find that vacuuming is incomplete, dusting not all done, and the rest is hit and miss. Their goal is to get out fast, within their time schedule and seem to have little regard for the quality of the job. I have complained over the years, on occasion, but I always wind up feeling as though I should be grateful that Dust Busters is coming to my house. I think the attitude of the teams and the owners is what finally caused me to look elsewhere for housecleaning. The last time I had Dirtbusters, I had left a couple of kernels of popcorn and some crumbs next to my sofa. They were not out in the open but not hidden either. Anyone doing a thorough job of vacuuming or cleaning would have seen them. When I came home, the popcorn/crumbs were still there. I do not think I should have to call all the time about all that was missed in my house. I am not a fanatic, I just want a decent cleaning each time.

I called several more times and they still never returned my call, so I'm not sure why they even came out to give me an estimate if they didn't want to do the work. I would've had to pay more for certain things that I thought were more or less normal things to do with housecleaning.

Cost was one cleaning every two weeks. At first they were alright, but they progressively got worse.
