Too lazy to respond to an e-mail or phone call requesting a quote. Must be nice to be in a position to ignore potential customers. I will make sure I tell anyone I know not to bother this company. They obviously have issues. I won't beg to give my money to someone who won't return an e-mail or phone call. How unprofessional!

We found the Great Garage Company on Angie's list and had an estimate created by Tom D'Amico. Tom could not have been more prompt and professional. Tom discussed every detail imaginable and answered every question we had. We received estimates from other companies, but we chose the Great Garage company because of the level of professionalism and long experience that they had in our community. Everything happened as planned.Tom even drew up the plans himself and represented us to the city so that we didn't have to go to meetings and deal with inspectors ourselves. The Great Garage Company offers a wonderful quality and completion guarantee, but the quality of work completed was fantastic. We never had to think about using it. In short, we would highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering using them. A+++ job!

Everything went well. The demo of the old garage was quick, orderly and clean. We did not find a scrap of material or nails/screws left behind. John worked with us and the city to move the garage forward and reposition it a bit. The new garage looks great as does the concrete work. He even allowed us a little extra time to paint the gutter boards before the gutters were installed. He was very responsive during a somewhat difficult time for us due to a sudden illness and hospitalization. In this company's case, you get what you pay for. Garages are all they do and they do it well.

I have recommended John D'Amico and the Great Garage Company to many friends now. I got multiple estimates and John's came in about 5k higher than the next highest but the reputation on here and professionalism he displayed was worth the price. To be blunt you get what you pay for and you certainly do with this company. I waited about 10 months to post the report so I can see how the concrete fared thru the harsh climate changes of north east Ohio. Fared well it did! From the moment the project started John ensured everything was code. He got the permit fast and each step of the way he got with the city of Brooklyn, OH (where I live) and made sure they were there to inspect the work. The city requires an inspection at various points of the new driveway's build. Lumber for the garage was carried from the street to the 26x20 slab so not to damage the newly laid concrete. A small touch but went a long ways with me. For those of you who are attached to their mobiles like I am John is pretty modern with his tech. He would send me a text with a picture of the work when he had a question or just to show me how it's going. He also sent me texts with pictures of the permits and the certificates the city gave after inspecting the work. Seriously, how can you get better service than that? Sitting in a meeting and I get a text with the picture of the city giving the work a thumbs up. I called John a few weeks ago because I was looking for some more work. I wanted some patio stones laid. He directed me to the company that's doing work for his home right now. He then talked to me for a good 15 minutes about whatever. Good guy. Good company. They want your business and after that experience I will make sure to look their way the next time I need work done!

The Great Garage Company is the only company that we contacted, that sat down with us on several occasions to make sure we got the exact garage we wanted. They spent a lot of time with us going over every detail long before they were selected as the builder. We were confident and comfortable with their ability to provide the garage we desired. Most companies would come over take a quick look and send us a quote. They attended public hearing meetings with us to abtain necessary variances. All of the various workers were professional. The work site was maintained clean and tidy. Noise and disruption were at a minimum. The work was completed to our satisfaction.

The Great Garage built a four car garage that was designed by the owner. In all the project took 3 months, however the actual main building part happened in about 3 days. I believe the project took longer then the usual time because ours was a custom garage and not the usual cookie cutter construction job.

The Great Garage Company are first class. They have a very upfront approach, are very buttoned down in the estimate process and had we chosen them to build our garage, I have little doubt that it would have been done well. When they came out to estimate in the evening after work, they tore up some of my neighbor's grass with their truck. I told them about it and they came out on a weekend with a truckload of topsoil and seed and repaired it. We ultimately went with someone else based on the cost for the scope of work. I am very happy with the results we got, but I do believe the Great Garage Company would have done comparable work and, if it's important to you, would have done it more quickly.

They were very thorough and conscientious. I was very impressed with the estimate, but I did not end up doing the work just because of the cost. I would consider contacting them again in the future.

Tom D'Amico, one of the owners came out and gave us an estimate, then he came back and went over all details and helped us to find the right garage for us at the right price. He was fair and understanding and never pressured us. He kept us informed every step of the way-what was going to happen and when. We enjoyed working with him. The work was done on time (weather permitting) and workers cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased with the whole process and we are enjoying our new garage.

They were great. We were very satisfied. They were good workers and they got their work done in an amazing time. They cleaned up after themselves and left the place spotless. They were very, very good workers. We would use them again.

They were clear with what they can do and were punctual for the job. They went beyond their call of duty to do things and cleaned the place well. They were pleasant to work with and I recommend their services. I will continue to use them in future.

All went well. The workers were always punctual and the company owner was professional and in-touch throughout the entire process. He also made several great suggestions that we incorporated into the design / construction. We recommend this company. I should add that the area was hit with a massive thunder and hail storm during the course of the work ... the company's work, workers and schedule were unaffected. They resumed construction immediately. Everything was completed on time.

Unfortunately, due to my financial situation, the price was a bit too high. When I called John to let him know I was going with another builder, he told me to feel free to call if I ran into any problems. When my garage failed the first inspection, that is exactly what I did. John was not only kind enough to explain the entire process of submitting plans, receiving permits, failed inspections, etc., which helped me proceed with my builder, but he also took the time to come back to my home and point out some issues with the new garage. If I had it to do all over again, I would definitely go with The Great Garage Company.

Their estimate was around $12000. He was professional but was not over bearing. He was a little on the cocky side. I decided to get the garage work postponed and get some other work done.

The project went great! Tom D'Amico was very detail oriented and coordinated the inspections, excavation, cement, structure, roofing and finishing. The job moved along on time and we were kept informed of any changes on a daily basis. His crews were dependable, knowledgeable and thorough. If a question or problem arose, he addressed it that day and it was remedied. The job took about 10 days and we are very happy with the new garage. Excellent service and product.

The owner was very professional. Everything was completed on schedule. The workers were professional. They cleaned up after themselves. I would recomend them! The only issue I had with was the elecitrical company that was hired out by The Great Garage Comapny. They did not complete their job in a timely fasion.

We live in Florida and own a home in Lakewood, Ohio. The garage was old and became a safety risk. Before my trip to visit family in October, I decided to search garage builders on Angie's list and then meet with them while I was visiting Cleveland. Boy was I surprised to find out that only one out of three that I called actually felt it necessary to visually assess our garage situation versus giving out a quote over the phone. And the person who we personally met with was John D'amico from The Great Garage Company. John was very professional, explained the entire project from permits to demolition, down to the smallest details of the new garage such as the light by the door! While meeting with John in person, we designed the entire garage and went over pricing. He answered all our questions and spent alot of time going over the project. John was so easy to deal with, there was no high pressure sales tactics or push for our decision. He told us to review the information he gave us and just let him know our decision. At that point there was no question in my mind, The Great Garage Company was the right choice to build our new garage. Each subsequent interaction was by phone or email as we had to return to Florida. Within 2 weeks we had a brand new garage! And along the journey, John kept us updated along with pictures of the progress. My son who lives in the home, stated the crew was professional, stayed on task, and cleaned up after their work. He observed the work from start to finish and was amazed at how smooth and quick the garage went up. There is so much more to building a garage than I thought and I am so grateful that I chose The Great Garage Company for our builder! My advice would be to just "forget the rest and choose the best", The Great Garage Company. It will be a decision you will not regret!

It went great. John had everything written down as you can tell I wrote it down too. He called when the guys were going to be there and he would come to make sure everything was going smooth. This garage is beautiful, plaster walls and ceilings. You almost want to make a room out of it instead of a garage. I am so gratefull to Angies list and finding The Great Garage Company to do this. Everyone that came to work was great and a real hard worker. It was exciting to watch how fast the building went up. I'm just thrilled.

It just simply could not have gone better! There is not a single thing I could think to complain about.

They were wonderful and they did a fantastic job. They cleaned everything up and the workers were really polite. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again if needed. They were very professional and their quality of work was excellent.

The company was fair, the workman were polite (no foul language), and the work was done well.

It went great overall. We had to wait days for the rain to stop before pouring the concrete. After the cement was done and dried, progress went quickly. The team of workers were courteous, punctual, professional, and efficient. By the way, my house insurance covered 10% of how much I had the house insured for so I didn't have to pay for the majority of the garage. I had to pay for tree removal minus their $250 coverage. The diameter of the tree was 33 inches with approximate age of 100 years.

this was done in a timely fashion very good customer service skills.

Easy. Easy. Easy. Owner oversaw project from start to finish. We got 3 estimates and Great Garage was the highest, but clearly the best. Owner communicated on every aspect of the job - was easily accessible when we had questions. Highly recommend.
