Made good recommendations regarding the best paver manufacturer, design and installation. Followed up with cleaning and removal of debris. Price was billed as quoted. We were 100% satisfied with the quoting process, installation, etc. - everything looks beautiful and solved problems we had with drainage and wet areas in our backyard. We couldn't have asked for more.
Description of Work: Graded lot with difficult pitch, installed paver patio and sidewalk. Installed cedar fence.

 + 0 moreWow!! They did a fantastic job, all custom woodwork in cedar with minimal knots (rails, all molding on posts and columns). The crew was a pleasure to work with. Dan was able to come up with solutions for all issues that came up with dealing with an older home in Lakewood (1930's). He built a gate at the entrance that is for my pet (LOVE!!). The AZEK floor is beautiful and I won't ever have to paint the floor again. Everything was built to my 100% satisfaction. Showed up everyday on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. I will do the finish priming and painting.
Description of Work: Tore out porch floor tongue and groove, existing wood columns, and wrought iron railings. Reinforced existing frame support for the floor. Replaced with AZEK (vinyl product) tongue and groove floor, wood columns, and wood railing, trellis.

 + 2 moreTrace and his crew were excellent to work with. They are professional in their work and created a beautiful patio space for me. Just before the patio was to be installed, I learned a large tree needed to be taken down. Trace scheduled the patio work around the tree cutters schedule and sent a crew to my home, in advance of the tree being cut down, to move several large plants I wanted to save. They worked in 90+ degree heat for 2 days to move/replant existing landscaping, installing the pavers and privacy fence. The results are beautiful and look exactly like Trace's original design. When I started this project I solicited quotes from 3 contractors on Angie's list and chose Tab Property Enhancements for the following reasons: 1) I did not need to be home for Trace to look at the space and develop a design and quote. We did much of the initial planning and communication via phone and email - perfect for a working person. 2) Trace was timely in providing quotes and design adjustments - he was punctual in all our communication. 3) Trace provided design drawings with the quote so I could visualize how the space would look. 4) Pricing was similar to the other quotes but service and communication was the best. Trace uses a small crew who are professional, do quality work and are really knowledgeable about plants, landscaping, etc. I am very impressed with this group that worked so hard to create a beautiful patio space I will enjoy for many years to come. I highly recommend Tab Property Enhancements.

 + 2 moreTrace and his crew are awesome! It's hard to put into words the fantastic job these guys did not only on our deck but the landscaping as well. We had a deck put on in June 2014 after our house was built. Trace came out to the house before it was finished and went over some ideas then emailed us some plans. Very willing to work with us on changes to create what we wanted. The work was done in June. Took less than a week to complete. Hard working crew who were great to work with....very pleasant attentive to detail.....which shows in their work. The deck was beautiful! Better than expected. He changed and added things because he felt it would look great....and he was right. He went above and beyond what he was contracted to do. Everyone who comes over raves about how great the deck is. We also decided to have Trace and his crew come and do our landscaping for us. Again worked with us using our ideas along with his. We had a patio and a fire pit area put in the back yard along with some front yard bed work. They just finished the job today 7/24/15. What a fantastic job they've done! Again, going above and beyond what was contracted to do. In this day and age great customer service is hard to find......not with Tab Property Enhancements! Their customer service is the best! We highly recommend this group of hard working people who give you great results along with great customer service! We couldn't ask for anything more!

 + 2 moreWords cannot begin to explain how happy my wife and I are with the completed project! It ended up even better than we even imagined! We figured with all the work that needed to be done in our front yard that Trace and his crew would be working for 2 to 3 days - at least. Much to our surprise, they completed everything in just one day! It just so happened that my family and I were out of town when the project began (and ended), so it was like coming home to a new house. Trace and his crew do not mess around. Even the clean up of Trace's crew was immaculate (no residual dirt, no wood chips, no garbage?. nothing!) - if it wasn't for the total transformation of our front yard, we would have never known a work crew was at our house. Because of all the rain this season, Trace had to delay the start of our project. Even though he had no control of the weather, Trace threw in and wired up an extra spotlight for one of our existing trees out front. This was certainly not necessary, but it goes to show how Trace goes above and beyond for his customers. One of the coolest things that Trace did was add flush LED lights to the timbers lining our driveway. At night, it makes it super easy for people to back out of our long, dark driveway. This landscape feature has really impressed all of our neighbors, and is evidence of Trace's creative design touch. My wife and I are already saving up money and resources to tackle the landscape overhaul of our backyard (landscaping, building a sunroom, building a deck, building a stone patio), and there is only one company we have in mind - TAB Property Enhancement!
Description of Work: This was a front yard landscaping overhaul project. We waterproofed our house from the outside a couple years ago, which completely destroyed any remaining landscaping we had when we purchased our house. After interviewing several of the highly rated landscape companies on Angie's List, we enthusiastically chose Trace and TAB Property Enhancement - and we are so glad we did! Trace met with my wife and me a few times to make sure every aspect of the project was covered before the first shovel hit the ground. TAB Property Enhancement did the following: 1.) Using input from us (as well as his own expertise), Trace designed a custom landscape layout for our house, and sent us digital renderings of his design. (PLEASE NOTE: This was done immediately after our first meeting with Trace, and done free-of-charge before we even chose TAB Property Enhancement to do the project. Some of the other landscape companies wanted $200 - $300 for digital renderings of their proposed designs.) 2.) Installed two large beds near the house with various low-maintenance, deer-proof trees/plants 3.) Removed old trees and plants in an existing bed 4.) Touched up low spots in lawn and installed grass seed 5.) Removed old fence, and installed a new, Western-Red Cedar dog-eared fence (6' high x 40' long) 6.) Cleared overgrowth and installed a river rock "dry creek bed" 7.) Removed old railroad ties that lined our 40 yard long gravel driveway and installed new 6" x 6" x 10' timbers 8.) Added new layer of limestone to our gravel driveway 9.) Added LED lights to front bed near house 10.) Added LED lights to timbers lining driveway 11.) Wired all outdoor lights to a transformer located inside garage

 + -1 moreWe are very happy with Trace's work. He listened to our input, applied his own direction and expertise, and executed our project quickly. The result exceeded our expectations. He also came up with a great landscaping solution for a shady part of the yard which was essentially a muddy pathway. He and his team were incredibly efficient and hard working. I would highly recommend his work.
Description of Work: Trace and his team mulched and edged our property, planted flowers and bushes around the house, a flower bed in the back of the house, put up a trellis in our vegetable garden and put in a stone walkway.

 + 2 moreWe recently decided to have a new gazebo and deck added to the back of our house. We also wanted to replace our old unsightly wood fence with new vinyl fencing. We started our search for contractors through Angie?s List and had 2 estimates provided. TAB Property Enhancement was not the lowest cost. However, Trace?s proposal was the most comprehensive with the highest quality materials. We were also impressed with the design and the 3D graphics that Trace provided to help us visualize the project. From the initial consultation through completion of the job, Trace answered all of our questions and personally kept us fully informed throughout every step of the project. Trace estimated the job would take 7-8 days. His motto is that he is not leaving until the customer is 100% satisfied. On the 8th day, we were 100% satisfied and the job was complete. The crew was courteous, hard-working, and very professional. They were meticulous in constructing our beautiful gazebo, deck, and fence. We are so happy with the design and the workmanship!! We cannot praise Trace and his crew enough. We highly recommend them and will call on Trace again in the future, if we decide to have any additional work done. Thanks to Trace and his crew for a job well done. It is so nice to sit in our screened gazebo and enjoy the outdoors without any bugs. We also love having a completely maintenance free deck that will never cause a splinter. We look forward to enjoying our outdoor living space for many years to come.

 + 0 moreToo bad that there is not a rating higher than "A". Trace would deserve it. I priced this job starting in January. Since our weather has been awful,any outside work had to be delayed. Trace kept in touch with me while waiting for the weather to break. He gave a terrific presentation and was fairly priced. As soon as we got decent weather, Trace started right away. I can not begin to describe the terrific job that he and Justin did. In one day,yet. The lay out is spectacular! My house is on a very busy street. People were stopping during the clean up to ask for estimates from Trace. I have never seen this before. My neighbors were surprised and so was I at the very thorough job that they did on clean up. There is not anything that was not perfect. I would hire TAB Property Enhancement for any landscaping job every time for any landscaping that I needed. Like I said,"A" seems inadequate.

The other complaint that I had was around the staining of the fence and the deck. He had contracted out for somebody else and that person did a really bad job. Everything else was wonderful, but I would not recommend them for the staining. The employees were very courteous and timely. We had a deadline and he was very good about working with us to get it done.

 + -1 moreI have a hard time describing in words what a great experience it was working with Trace. He was very professional and his "crew" were very polite and did a great job on the deck. I had a good idea of exactly what I wanted and Trace was happy to listen to my request and worked with me in a very professional manner. He used my basic design to work out a final design that was exactly what I was looking for. It turned out that the deck design required extra space beyond what our city allows so we needed to request a building variance from the city. Trace joined me at the city zoning board hearing and acted on my behalf in presenting to the board our plans and why we were requesting the variance. Even the zoning board seemed impressed with how well prepared Trace was. The deck went up quickly but I didn't feel that Trace's crew was cutting any corners and they seemed to be very careful and made sure everything was correct as they worked. They were also careful to pick up after the work each day and when they were done they left the yard clean. The hidden fasteners are a nice touch and look much better than having visible screws in all the deck boards. The neighbors have been complimenting me on how nice the deck looks and one even went as far as to say it looked like a work of art. I would not hesitate to recommend TAB Property Improvement to anyone looking to add a great looking deck to their home. Thanks for my perfect deck Trace!

My only complaint is that they didn't properly rinse my home after the power washing, leaving a residue on my home. But overall, I would absolutely recommend this company!

 + -1 moreWhen the owner came to power wash he forgot the ladder so only the lower deck was washed. The price quote was appropriately revised. An employee arrived about 2 days later to apply the paint sealer. He did not bring a sprayer and applied by brush. When he finished I noticed some uncovered spots and a lot of drips/streaks. Luckily my neighbor was in the yard and asked if the side of the deck facing her yard was to be painted. When I looked, that side was not done. The guy did try to cover it with what was left in the can, but he only brought one can and that was not quite enough to give full coverage. He said he would come out and redo the thin or bare spots, but that did not happen. I really do not like to write bad reviews, that is why it has taken me so long to submit it. I was really disappointed in this job and will not consider this company again. This summer I will have to find another company to redo the work so the upper and lower decks match. Trey contacted me and stated he would redo the work on the lower deck free of charge and wash/stain the upper deck for the agreed upon cost. He was very concerned about the quality of the work and stated he would perform the work . The estimated time for completion would be around mid-May. I am pleased with the remediation and if all goes as promised I will definitely consider working with this company in the future. Trace did come out and power wash both upper and lower decks and when weather permitted stained/sealed both decks. The quality of the work was excellent. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the appearance of the decks. Will definitely use this company in the future.

Just as important, they don't show up to plow when there are just a few flakes on the ground. Trace is an honest guy who runs a great business. He also took care of fertilizing my lawn in the summer and did a great job with that. You can't go wrong with TAB Property Enhancement.

 + -1 moreI had contacted Tab in early summer of 2012 and described the type of work I wanted done, he came out shortly thereafter and we did a walk through to discuss the particulars. He then explained that he'd send a contract over and following approval would be in touch to schedule the work. The summer of 2012 was very hot and dry so it was understandable that performing the work, which was going to require replanting grass around the house, in the middle of a drought was not a good time. A little more follow up to inform me that the work would be put off a bit in lieu of the weather conditions would have been preferable but when I reached out to Tab he was quick to respond explaining the situation and giving an estimated timetable. Following the communication the work was completed according to the timetable. I was satisfied with the work and did not require any follow up. I didn't shop around really so I can't say what the rates were in comparison to other contractors but I rated the price a B since I didn't view it necessarily as a bargain though fair and completely reasonable commensurate with the work. I would contact Tab again for future projects.
Description of Work: Regrading around approximately half of the house so that it no longer sloped towards the house and installed window wells at four windows, also removed some small vegetation that was in the path of the regrading work.

 + -1 moreAt $30 per push plus the shoveling, it's a good deal. They use good judgement on when to plow, I've never felt like they plow just to make the money. If we get 3 inches, but it's going to warm up and melt that same day, they won't come out. Of course they will come out if you want. There have been a few times when I've shoveled the driveway myself and have called them off. No problems. Billing is straightforward and timely. They do plow at all hours, so don't expect this to be a day-time only thing. If we think they will come at night, we crate our dog so she won't bark and wake up the babies.

 + 1 moreFrom the start to the end, this was a great, very professional experience. Trace was easy to work with, had good communication, and was very helpful and informative. His idea for our backyard project was unique compared to other quotes we had received and had the added bonus of being less expensive. Even though our project was delayed a few weeks by weather issues, Trace staying in touch throughout the process and kept us in the loop on what was happening. He came over one extra time before the project started to make sure we were 100% on the same page. The project was completed quickly and without issue, and everything was cleaned up when the job was done. We've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a bad contractor in the past, and believe me when I tell you that the difference between that experience and working with Trace is like night and day. It would be well worth some extra money to have the quality work and customer service that we experienced, so that fact that it was less expensive than other companies is even more impressive. We would be happy to work with this company again in the future and will no doubt be giving them the first call when the next project arises.

 + -1 moreTAB was very prompt and courteous. When we met, he scoped the job and provided an estimate. He explained he would not be able to schedule the job for a couple of months because of other commitments. We accepted the delay as long as it was completed before winter. The job required a small excavator traveling down one neighbor's driveway and across another neighbor's backyard. TAB was very conscientious so as not to damage either of the neighbor's yards. He even suggested a slight postponement so that the yards could dry out prior to beginning the job, thus minimizing the possibility of damage. The job was expected to take at least two days. The crew arrived early on a beautiful fall day. They worked hard to complete the entire job by that afternoon. This caused my estimate to drop significantly. The crew did a great job cleaning up and were very professional and thoughtful. They even cleared leaves as a favor to one elderly neighbor who let them traverse her yard. We would hire TAB again as well as recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We had a collapsed culvert on our property. TAB removed the collapsed material and re-contoured the ground.

 + -1 moreWater pooling behind my septic mound was causing problems with proper operation of the mound. The mound builder suggested adding soil behind the mound and re-grading that area to resolve the problems. However he would not do it. I contact Trace and talked to him about doing it. He agreed. At our meeting he suggested also adding a French drain. I agreed. He added the French drain in early September. He returned in early October to add the additional soil and do the re-grading. This has worked great. No water pools behind the mound and the septic mound problems are resolved.
Description of Work: Added a French drain, additional soil and grading behind my septic mound (built on a sloping part of my yard) to eliminate water pooling up behind the mound.

 + 2 moreWe were so impressed with Trace and his crew. They exceeded our expectations and were very professional. Our old deck was an eyesore and we had no idea what to do with the walk out patio, as our house is on a hill. First off Trace was so patient because we knew that we wanted a change, but not sure of possibilities. He spent days emailing us new plans and answering all of our questions. They built a retaining wall so that we could expand the patio area and it looks beautiful. They paid such attention to detail, with landscaping around the patio and they even replaced a piece of siding that was melted and an eyesore! We received everything that we asked for and more! Trace did not charge us for the piece of siding. As for price, you definitely get what you pay for and more!
Description of Work: They tore down old deck with two flights of steps and replaced with a new 14 x 14 ft. composite deck. They installed a retaining wall and patio below deck.

This along with the drawings will allow me to make a more informed decision on how to proceed. Also, while looking over the potential job site trace zeroed in on an area of my ceiling that has a roof leak! I'm sure I will be asking him to fix that too! I look forward to having Tab Properties manage the various projects for my household. I am excited to see the outcome.
Description of Work: Once my review hit Angie's List Tab Properties was notified. I was then contacted immediately by Trace at Tab Properties. He explained that he doesn't receive the emails via Angie's List in a timely manner and this was an ongoing issue with the website. He then asked if he could come out to rectify the situation. I set up an appointment with him for an estimate. Tab was punctual and very courteous. He spent a great deal of time with me discussing the various projects I would like to complete. When I couldn't really "visualize" how things would look, Tab Properties offered to take pictures and prepare drawings of how the project will look in the various scenarios so that I can make a more informed decision. He said he would email the drawings to me so that I would get the information quickly.
