It went excellent! We highly recommend this company. Trace communicated quickly and designed an attractive dog friendly fence for our front yard that worked beautifully with our log home. His team were meticulous with their work and were very concerned about esthetic appearance and quality work. We would certainly have this company back to do work at our home.

It was like the most wonderful dream I ever had!! No problems or issues whatsoever!! The owner arrived to give us the estimate on time. All my questions were responded to and answered promptly. Pricing was very fair given the quality of materials and workmanship we received. Materials were delivered on time and the crew arrived the next morning. It was obvious that the crew who did the work knew their job responsibilities very well and had worked together for quite some time. Crew members were also very polite to our family members. They stayed on the job every day until it was completed. Clean-up after the new deck installation was very thorough. We are totally pleased!! We never had such a positive experience with a construction contractor as we did with this one!!

Although TAB had a high number of good reviews when I found it on Angie?s List, I?m writing this because my experience with TAB was utterly terrible. So this is the grain of salt with which you should read every other review. The short version: Despite having spent nearly 6 months? dealing with TAB, to this day TAB has performed no work on my property. Since I have little in the way of results to speak of, you might be surprised that my experience with TAB could have been so bad. Frankly, I was too. The long and short of it is: Trace, the principle/owner, who I found unprofessional and remarkably difficult to work with. In my experience with him, Trace didn?t give accurate or even close-to-accurate timetables on work-start or completion dates and his communication was lacking, to say the least. I felt like I was being strung along and was no more than a lousy job; TAB would get to me when they?d get to me, if they got to me. In this case they didn?t, and they won?t. I went elsewhere. The full story for those interested in the details: This March, I decided to have my back yard cleared of some trees, graded, a French drain installed and grass planted. I was told by another landscaping company that they would only plant grass in spring or fall to give it a chance of growing. This company was already booked for the spring though, so I had to look elsewhere. I reached out to Trace on April 4th and was pleasantly surprised when he said he would come over only a few days later to take a look at the property. On April 7th , as planned, Trace did come out and we went over together what I wanted done in my yard. While here, Trace offered to do some more work and pointed out that my fence was looking pretty old. TAB doesn?t remove trees so I agreed to have that done elsewhere, but I asked for a quote for the rest of the work cited, including a new fence. My biggest concern was the scheduling because of the grass. Trace said that at this point he was scheduling into the end of May, but was adamant that timing wouldn?t be a problem. Shortly after the 7th Trace got back to me with a quote for the entire job, including the new fence, which was going to cost about $13,000 alone. Over the course of the next week or so, I got a few quotes for the tree removal job and a second quote for the fence replacement. As it happens, this fence estimate, from another well-reviewed Angie?s List company, was for thousands less than what Trace had quoted me. I let Trace know that I?d go with him for the original work, but that I was going with the second company for the fence. He asked me not to sign with the other fence company and offered to and did lower his quote, but even then his number was still too far off from the second company?s quote. At the end of April, I scheduled the fence job with the other company and agreed to let Trace do the rest. At this point, on April 29th, Trace estimated a ?June completion?, as the weather had put his team behind. A week later, on May 4th, he clarified further, saying he would start June 10th, but sooner if possible. Three weeks later, on May 29th, with no further explanation, Trace emailed to say that his team wouldn?t be out until the last week in June, as he had a big lawn to install ahead of me. I asked him to call me so we could speak directly and I told him I was feeling put off by other, potentially bigger, jobs. He assured me he wasn?t and explained why he was delayed. According to him, there was a labor shortage and no one wanted to work, so he had a very limited crew and was already working 80 hours a week to make up for it. He said one or two people had worked only a day or two for his team, then quit. I agreed to let Trace continue, and once again expressed concern over planting grass this late in the summer, but once again he assured me it wouldn?t be a problem. After all, he said, he was doing a big yard right before me. The last weekend of June, before the job was set to start, I asked Trace to meet to see if he could do some additional work in the front yard while he was out working on the backyard ? cleanup, mulching, etc. We met that Saturday, June 25th. We went over the extra work and, per usual, I expressed my concerns over growing grass in the heat, and once again Trace told me that it wouldn?t be a problem. I also wanted to be clear on the ever-changing start date and he confirmed TAB would indeed start work on my yard that Thursday, June 30th. Three days later, on Tuesday, June 28th, with no further explanation, I got an email from Trace saying he was going out of town and would start on my yard July 5th. At this point, three months in and feeling like I was being treated like more of a nuisance than a customer, I offered to let Trace cancel the job or lower the estimate if he wanted to keep it. Trace didn?t pick up the phone, but over the course of four or five disjointed emails I put together why he had delayed yet again ? or at least I think I did. I agreed to move forward with him and he gave me a slight break on labor of $100. At that point, he then explained that now that it was July and getting hot, and because it might rain in the next few days, he might have to push back TAB?s work on my yard. He said he?d leave me on the schedule for the week of July 5th though and that they would play it by ear?I stopped asking about the grass. That Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday came and went with no rain and no contact from Trace, as did the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Ultimately four weeks passed without a single word or update from Trace or anyone at TAB. The ?June completion? that I thought I?d scheduled in April, had suddenly turned into completion in August, and all without Trace taking the slightest ownership or responsibility, or even acknowledging what had gone on. And then, out of the blue, just as I was I settling into yet another period of no communication from TAB, I was copied on a group email from Trace stating that TAB had cancelled all landscaping projects until the fall. Apparently grass ?will not grow in these conditions.? There was a lot other work to be done in my yard that didn?t involve planting new grass, but? well who knows. He never mentioned it. After TAB?s group email, I ended up calling another company who gave me a quote and completed the work on my yard within 2 weeks of my first call to them. The work was top notch and I felt like I was dealing with professionals. I?ve already scheduled this company to complete the rest of my yard this fall, and recommended them to a neighbor and a family member. Apparently, this company does have capacity to get jobs done, and it has people who want to work for them, which I can understand having met the owner, who is a pleasure to work with. After another month passed, Trace emailed me, telling me that he was working on TAB?s schedule and needed to know if TAB was still doing my yard. When I said that we weren?t and that I had found another company that was by stark contrast remarkably easy to work with, he told me he didn?t appreciate my sarcasm and couldn?t understand why I thought he was difficult to work with. I stopped replying and wrote this instead. That was my experience with TAB Property Enhancement. Maybe he?ll prove me wrong, but if my experience with Trace is any guide, you?ll find a reply full of excuses and indignation below. I recommend you read it and find another company to work with. excellent. trace was flexible with the quote, coming on a weekend even when I wasn't doing a great job communicating. when things changed, he came back and did another 2 quotes. he provided excellent advice to wait before beginning the job as it was too hot in July for the grass to grow. the advice was good, it's been cool and it's been raining a lot so everything went according to plan. outstanding contractor, one of the reasons i joined angies' list.

Excellent craftsmanship, project turned out better than expected. The computer generated drawing really sold the job! Polite and professional workers too,

Trace was great to work with and extremely responsive (returning a call or email within the hour or less). Our land slopes towards our house which had caused previous water damage; therefore, keeping water away from our house was our top priority. Trace created a design based on some very basic comments from me. It surpassed our expectations and met our needs by working with our existing drainage systems and adding a retaining wall and landscaping. His crew arrived timely, completed the job quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. We were kept informed of any changes or delays. After completion of the project one area of the patio required some re-work and the crew was back out to fix it immediately! Overall great service and we couldn't be happier with our new backyard- pictures speak for themselves!

The job was started and finished in the time frame that was given to me. There was a large crew on the job, all of whom were very friendly, hard-working and willing to do whatever it took to make sure I was satisfied with every aspect of the job. Trace was always a phone call or text away if I had any questions or concerns. For the size of the job I expected it to take a lot longer than it did. I would highly recommend Tab Property Enhancement, it's hard to find companies these days where customer satisfaction is top priority

I emailed several companies to request a quote for the project. Trace from Tab Property responded right away and scheduled a time to come and see the area. Within a couple of days he had provided a quote. The quote was detailed including all materials and specific plants to be included. Trace also provided a computer generated plan for the project showing scale and plant sizes and placement. One of my contacts for references was the Unilock manufacturer. Before I had mentioned who I had already called they gave a glowing reference for Tab Properties. That made me feel comfortable with selecting them for the project. After deciding to move ahead with Tab Property I sent the invoice and a down payment for the materials. Trace said I would be on the schedule in a few weeks. A few weeks later Trace asked me for the color of the stones I wanted and purchased the materials. He scheduled the job and actually started a day earlier than planned. The job was done in two days and is exactly what I wanted and expected. I appreciate the thought that went into the placement of the retaining wall for screening and fit into the existing slope. I also agree with the plant selection for the partly shaded area. Other companies had very limited plant select that were not appropriate for the shade. I'm very happy with the results and the professionalism of the company and would not hesitate to have them do other project for me.

Trace with TAB property enhancement did an excellent job with our project. We had a old 2 tier flag stone patio that originally we planned to repairing, but after discussing the limitations of our terrain and possible failure of a new patio due to vegetation and large tree roots, Trace suggest a deck design that was far superior to the initial layout we imagined. This was a large project, which involved removal of old patio, fencing, 2 foot high and about 40 foot long retaining wall, regrading law, building cedar deck, and relandscaping yard. In addition a stone walkway was built. Trace's team was very conscientious while on our property, and were meticulous with building our deck and aligning the boards and rails. We discussed multiple design changes prior to the project, and this help us fine tune the final project. Trace was always easy to contact and very accommodative. We even had a couple cedar boards that showed some splitting early after construction, and Traces team came and replaced them readily once requested.

Trace and his crew did an amazing job. They busted their backs and knocked everything out in one day. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Trace is a very professional and answered any question I had about anything. Easy to contact and very informative about the process. Crew was very nice and professional as well. I would highly recommended Tab Property Enhancement. We will be using them next year on a deck and more landscape.

I contacted TAB Property Enhancements in late April, based on their great reviews on Angie's List. I spoke to the owner, Trace, and he came out to look at my property the very next day. We had a great conversation, and he knew exactly what I needed. His suggestions were totally in sync with what I was trying to accomplish. I got a basic estimate from him on email, and some preliminary sketches, within a couple of days of our meeting. I did secure a couple of other estimates, which were similar in price but not comparable in materials. You need to look at the details. Trace used high end materials which will make a difference in the years to come. It's obvious that he takes pride in the work he does for his customers. We had a couple of rainy weeks, which threw off his schedule a bit, but he communicated with me at all times. Good communication is so important. My deck was built in a few short days. His crew was personable, and very aware of their surroundings. They cleaned up after themselves all day, every day. They left my yard exactly as they found it. The workmanship was very good too. Though my deck is small, it is truly nice, and definitely adds value to my home. I'm sure I will enjoy it for many summers to come. Don't hesitate to hire Trace and his crew. They do a great job!

I submitted an inquiry on TAB's website to have someone call me about a project I wanted to get completed by the end of May. Trace called me within 20 minutes of me submitting my inquiry! From the very first conversation Trace was very attentive to what I wanted to come to fruition. He came out to our home a few days later to see my wife and me and look at the area we wanted the project to be completed at. He took his measurements and notes and said he would provide us a free computer generated design and estimate within a couple days. The very next evening we had our design and estimate. We were thrilled with what Trace came up with while the estimate was on the high side of our budget, we knew looking at all the other reviews on this company that we would be very happy with the finished product. I had to submit the drawings to our HOA Architectural Review Committee so we could get approval. There were a couple adjustments that needed to be made and Trace had no problem doing this for us still free of charge. Once we got the HOA approval were initially told that they would begin work on 5/19/2016. That would work perfectly for us since our daughter's 1st birthday party was not till 6/4/2016. About a week and a half later we got a call from Trace saying our job was not going to be able to be started until the end of the month due to the weather. My wife and I were obviously not happy about this, however, it is clearly not Trace's company's fault that mother nature decided to make things wet! Trace and his team finally was able to start on 5/31/2016 and completed on 6/3/2016. Each day they kept me informed on the progress and what was going to happen the next day. Throughout the whole project there was only 1 obstacle that came up and Trace and his team quickly came up with a perfect solution. The sign of a great company is one that can take the curve-balls that will undoubtedly come up when you are dealing with the outdoors and figure out how to make it work! Each day I had several neighbors walk up to me after work telling me how professional these guys were and how they always kept the work area tidy and cleaned up each night after they left. Once the project was completed on Friday I came home from work and couldn't believe my eyes. My wife and I were absolutely stunned and absent of words to describe how amazing our new backyard looked. Without any reservation, if you are looking to have any landscaping done on your home do not look anywhere else. This company will exceed our expectations just like all the reviews for this company says they will. The next time I decide to do something to my outdoors I will not hesitate to have TAB complete the work for me.

I originally contacted Trace on Tuesday, 3 May, and set up an appointment for him to come see my deck and get an idea of the repairs to strengthen the railings that I needed to have done. The appointment was set for Thursday, 5 May, and he was on-time and appeared very professional. When he saw the deck, however, I could tell that he wasn't enthused about the idea of reinforcing the railings. He suggested that it would probably require replacing them, rather than reinforcing them, and I asked for estimates both for doing it inexpensively and for doing it top of the line. Because I was selling my house, I was going to take the information to the buyers and work out a solution so that they could be happy with the results. Instead, I received an email at almost 11pm on the following Tuesday, 10 May, stating that in the intervening few days, Trace had sold so many other jobs that he was now booked out towards the end of July and would be unable to work on my deck. He ended the email with "best of luck to you". No estimate. Nothing. Honestly, if he didn't want the job, he could have just said that. Or given me an estimate that was so expensive that I just wouldn't choose to book the job. Instead, he "booked too many other jobs". No worries. I won't be contacting him again for any work.

Everything we as smooth as we could have hoped for. We ran into a few delays with weather but those are out of our control and Trace was in constant contact with us to give us a time he would show up. Once the weather cooperates he was here and completed the project in 3.5 days. They answered a ton of our questions and the yard and fence look amazing! I highly recommend going with Trace and his team for any landscaping project.

First of all let me start by saying Trace and his crew were awesome and did an fabulous job on everything! My new outdoor space is just amazing!!! When I first was looking for a contractor for my project, I have to say that Trace was my top pick from the start. His professionalism and advice was second to none. Not only did he provide me with drawings, he was also very patient with my many changes and revisions. The quality of the finished product is simply amazing. I've gotten so many compliments already! I can't say enough about Tab Property Enhancement....don't look any further, he is the best!!

The first phase of the project involved removing and stacking the pavers to the side for reuse. A crew came in to break up the concrete pad and haul it away along with the gravel debris. Once that was done, Trace and his great crew began to prepare the area for a newly installed paver patio. They corrected the grading away from the foundation and started laying the base and pavers. Once the stone work was completed and the step installed, his crew began the finish grading. They brought in topsoil and planted grass seed in the areas that were disturbed, and prepared the landscape beds around the patio for us. Trace kept us informed of the work schedule with emails and phone calls. His crew was professional and courteous, and they cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. They did everything we asked and we're quite pleased with the results. We would highly recommend this company.

Ultimately we decided to go with stamped concrete for our patio - which TAB does not offer at the time of this review. Even after informing the owner that we decided to go a different route with our patio, he offered additional information about our chosen patio design and things to look for during installation. Overall and excellent experience with TAB. Trace (the owner) was very responsive to all of our inquiries and provided a very professional and consultative approach to the entire "sales" process. I would definitely recommend this company and will be contacting them again as we build out additional pieces of our backyard landscape.

Every person I was in contact with, from the owner, Trace, to all who worked on the house were courteous, professional, helpful, punctual. All the work was done beyond my expectation. Trace and the crew worked through winter months, doing what they could when they could, completing the fence first since that was important to me and my young dog!

Bush removal was very quick and nicely done. There was a delay in starting the installation of the fence, which was not the fault of Tab, but due to the company that was to deliver the fencing to the site. Trace kept on the delivering company to get the fence delivered as promised (even got me a discount for the inconvenience). The four workmen were very professional and very friendly. It was nice to work with such a professional group--they never seemed to mind all my questions. My neighbors were also impressed with the workers and the time they took to make sure the fence was level and properly installed. I would definitely use them again. In fact waiting for warmer weather for some further work to be done--landscaping and putting in grass in an area that needs to be re-seeded. I can not say if the price was high, low or average because I did not shop around. I was impressed with the reviews this company received on Angie's list and the fact that I wouldn't have to have one company to remove all the large bushes (some tree like) and another company for the fence and possibly another company to install the 5' junipers. The fencing sets off the yard.

Provider gave me an original estimate on deck job. But, estimate cost changed a few times, and I eventually deemed providers total estimated cost for proposed deck to much for my budget. Provider offered prompt refund.

Throughout the entire process Trace and his team continuously exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail and pride in workmanship is outstanding. They were able to think on their toes and problem solve the usual hiccups that occur along the way with these types of large projects. They're dedicated, respectful, talented, friendly and smart. My husband and I are truly grateful for the hard work and care Trace's team put forth. We highly recommend their services to anyone.

Fantastic experience and work. I initially contacted Trace through his website on a Sunday morning. He contacted me later that same day. He came out and gave us an estimates on a paver patio and various deck options. He answered all questions and provided numerous suggestions. He produced detailed computer drawings of the project which were extremely helpful. We hired him for the job and he was patient with all of our questions and changes. He never pressured us to make a decision. The project was done in the timeframe he stated and he was spot on with the estimate. Given our old deck and the ground under it, there were numerous challenges during the project; they were able to overcome it all. His crew was outstanding and extremely professional. Dan took time to talk with me and explain what they were doing and why. Trace even upgraded a few things for us. I cannot say enough positive things about Trace, his company, and the employees that were at our home. I contacted other companies for estimates and a few of them did not even bother to return calls or give the estimate after taking the measurements. Trace was true to his word on all things and did exactly what he said. Much appreciated given the problems with other companies. He was prompt in returning emails and phone calls. We are extremely pleased with our new patio and enthusiastically recommend him for any project. We will certainly use them again when the need arises.

I had a good experience working with Trace and his team. He was very responsive via emails. He responded to all our questions within 24 hours. We went through multiple iterations of deck designs and Trace helped us through all of them. He was proactive in providing updates on project timing and was able to built our deck in-time as promised. He has an excellent crew - Dan and guys are hard working and efficient. Our deck was completed in less than a week. Our neighbors loved the deck and they have reached out to Trace to get their deck build. I would recommend Trace.

Trace's crew were friendly and did a fantastic job on our front porch. Two days to tear down and rebuild the front porch. They were professional and detail oriented. I would highly recommend them.

I first heard of Tab from Angie?s List and decided to have them give us an estimate based on their high ratings. Trace (the owner) first came out and met with us to collect information so that he could create an estimate. We discussed what we were looking for and he promptly created an estimate and a 3D rendering of what the results would look like, which helped us visualize everything. He was very willing to listen to us and adjust the plan accordingly. Once we agreed to move forward, he gave us an estimated start date. This was delayed a tad, only because we were waiting on the city to approve our building permit (completely out of his control), but during that time, he pro-actively contacted us to let us know the status of the permit. Once we had the permit, he gave us a final start date and his crew began work on that date. The crew of four were completely professional and it?s clear they take a lot of pride in their work. They would take the time to talk with us and review everything each day. As with any remodel project, we hit a snag or two. The important thing is how those situations get handled. One example is that there was a sprinkler head that was under the area where the edge of our patio was going to end up. The sprinkers hadn?t been used in years so you couldn?t even see where they were any more. The foreman immediately notified me of the problem and re-routed the line outside of the patio area so that if we did use the sprinkler system in the future, we could install a functional sprinkler head out there. This sort of thing is very important when considering a contractor. And I?m pleased to say that Tab handled everything, even unforeseen issues, professionally and to our complete satisfaction. As for the work itself, this was a pretty large job and it came out wonderfully. We now have a very large paver patio with tons of usable space. A pergola with attached electrical outlet gives us additional shade for those hot sunny days. At dusk and at night, landscape lights activate to accent everything. Everyone who has seen our new patio is blown away by how nice it is. We look forward to spending many days outside in the coming years on our new living space. Thanks Trace and company!
