I have been using the services of TAB for 3 1/2 years now for plowing and also landscaping. Trace does a wonderful job and couldn't have made it through this horrific winter without him.

They messed up part of my lawn while unloading the stones, and the grass still has not grown back properly where they drove through my yard.

Trace Baum and his team were exceptional throughout the process. Trace responded immediately to my initial inquiry and scheduled a time to give us an estimate a few days later. The estimate was right inline with 2 others but we chose to go with Tab Property Enhancement because of their reviews on Angie"s List. Trace kept us informed as he worked through a (very difficult) permitting process with the town and then dealt with the difficult weather. Once the permitting process was complete he got the job scheduled and he and his team showed up exactly as planned to pour the footings and, a few days later, to build out the deck. The actual construction went quickly (2 days) with Trace and his crew of 3-4 guys and the quality of the new deck looks great, is noticeably larger (even though we didn't have a lot of room to work with) and the quality of the finished product is excellent. His crew also left the deck and work sight spotless. Without a doubt this was the smoothest construction project we've ever done and I highly recommend Trace and his team - they did an outstanding job and certainly live up to their reputation and high scores on Angie's List.

Just finishing one of the snowiest winters I must say how much I appreciated the service of TAB Properties Management in the removal of the snow from my driveway and sidewalks! Very punctual, responsive and professional, TAB Properties monitored weather conditions and provided timely service throughout the winter months. I so appreciated that when we received day-long snow storms , they would call and ask if we wanted an additional plowings that day --- very different from other services that I have contracted with who did additional plowings that weren't necessary and drove my costs higher. I really felt TAB Properties Management had our best interests at heart. I strongly recommend this company!

They were fantastic. The company has pictures of the service on their website as it was such a good job. Trace is a great guy. He is very professional and he gives a lot of care towards the work. He helped me design the work and he has good attention to detail.

Provider was very professional in all aspects. Quote was competitive, work was completed in a quality manner and within the time frame promised. Workers were efficient, courteous and provided excellent clean up afterward. One admirable trait that owner (Trace) has is his willingness to return calls promptly. I found this to be a rare, but appreciated, practice in today's world.

They are very prompt, clean cut, well spoken. I think very highly of him and will continue to have him do some landscaping also. If I have ever called they get right back to me. When I use them everything is done when we need them everything is done on time. I enjoy talking to the owner. I feel that he provides quality service and I look forward to using him in the long run.

Trace had done some work for us this past summer, installing a gorgeous Azek deck, pergola and paver patio. I mentioned to him at that time that we were interested in eventually adding a bathroom to our basement. He said to contact him in the fall, once deck-building season was over. Trace came out with one of the guys that helped with the deck, and they looked over the space and gave us some ideas for the bathroom, how best to lay it out, etc. It was going in a pretty small space, dividing up an existing storage room, so layout and size were important. Trace sent me an estimate a few days later, with some rough costs for fixtures, vanity, shower, etc., with labor broken out separately. He said that we were free to make any of the purchases ourselves, if we came across anything we liked. We did end up buying most everything on our own, rather than having Trace driving all over picking up different components from different retailers. Trace did provide the boring stuff - The copper pipes, duct work, mortar for the tile floor, wire, etc.. Just like when they built the deck, Trace's crew (Dan & Mike) showed up on time ready to work. They got everything framed the first day. When it came time to put the shower pan in, the location of the existing drain wouldn't work, so Dan had to break up some of the concrete floor to reroute it, but that wasn't a problem for him. Over the next few days, they got the fixtures installed, all the drywall up, the electrical and plumbing, etc. Christmas was the following week, so Dan offered to come by on Saturday to finish up the tile on the floor, so they could wrap up before the holiday. Once that was done, it was jus the finishing touches left, and those were done before Christmas just as promised. Trace's team is excellent. The guys that worked on this were really professional - They were courteous, made good suggestions, always took our opinions into consideration, and cleaned up after themselves every day, despite me telling them that we were fine with them leaving their tools and equipment out in the basement. I have recommended them to a few people already, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

I was very happy with his work. I would recommend him to everyone.

Excellent lawn care. For an additional fee, Trace also provided excellent yard maintenance for a couple of years.

Trace and his guys were absolutely amazing. I knew what I wanted my back yard to look like but I had know idea how to explain it to Trace. He was really quite impression with his ability to take some of the things I would tell him and then be able to help me visualize exactly what he was going to do. After figuring out what he was going to do he gave me his estimate which was one of the higher estimates but based off his work we knew we were going to get what we paid for. We had a paver patio installed with landscaping, shrubs and lighting as well. The work is absolutely awesome. My wife was thrilled with how it came out. Trace completely cleaned up after they finished and even stopped by a couple days later to make sure we were completely happy. Overall Trace did an excellent job.

He cleaned up my leaves, and gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member. He did a beautiful job! He even gave me a quote for the second time coming out, but ended up even discounting that as well! I will be using him again in the Spring to do mulch, since he did such a wonderful job!

Trace is clearly very skilled and was very careful in constructing the patios. One of them is not on level ground, and yet it turned out great. The purpose of the fence was to provide a safe area for my dog, and Trace kept this in the forefront of his planning and building of the fence. He also fixed areas of the lawn that were uneven, so that the dog cannot get under the fence. Mr. Baum and his crew are skilled and professional and I am very pleased with my patios and fence.

Trace was very responsive and accomodating. My yard was a mess. And very neglected. I almost felt sorry for him and his crew. I had a paver patio and it was not laid properly. It was hard to keep clean and they were moving all over so I decided to get a deck instead. They used my existing pavers to make a walkway from the deck to the side garage door. It turned out better than I expected it would. I am a very skeptical, single mom and I get nervous hiring people because I feel like I am a target to get ripped off. Trace really spent the time talking to me and giving me all my options. He really made me feel like I was his only customer. His crew was very professional and showed up everyday early. Although it was expensive, he was worth it. They didn't rush and I got tons of compliments.

Tab was professional and courteous from the first contact. He provided an array of options for our outdoor project with fair prices when compared with several other companies. We chose to go with Tab because they were the most professional and capable of providing the greatest range of services. They responded quickly to all phone calls and emails. And they were able to deliver services in a timely manner (despite this spring's torrential rains). We are very happy with the appearance and utility of the final project. Our deck and stone patio are beautiful places for entertaining. The extra lighting features added a unique touch. Tab also tended to the landscaping needs of our yard after the construction project. And when issues arose after the project (e.g. flooding in the back yard from a blocked drain), Tab quickly arrived to remedy the situation and offer more solutions to our drainage issues. They tended to lighting and deck issues that arose after completion of the project as well. Very professional and responsible.

It took a few weeks to start the installation because there were others already scheduled. Once they got started they were quick about the take down of fence and installation. They disposed of the old chain link fence.It took about a week to complete the whole process. There was no mess left behind. The fence looks great!

There are not enough words to express what a spectacular job Trace and his crew did. Not only did he design a beautiful deck, but he also completely re-landscaped my entire front yard. He went above and beyond his responsibilities for what I expected. The experience was a great one because of the professionalism, patience, and genuine concern of TAB. People were coming by commenting on my landscaping and deck throughout the day. Trace is honest. When giving time estimates, he was spot on. He was always on time and there when he was supposed to be. He and his crew work without interruption. They all seemed to enjoy their job and it shows in the attention to detail and craftsmanship. When work was complete, everything was cleaned up and taken away. I would definitely use TAB again for both exterior and interior work.

The job went great and as planned. They even did an additional 2 feet of gravel fill that I asked for. Trace was very easy to work with. He kept in touch with my schedule for the Storage Shed construction date. Trace and his crew arrived one day earlier to complete the job. He called ahead to notify us they were in transit and stated how many trucks and how much parking room he needed. The crew arrived with everything they needed never having to leave to go get anything. The crew was very well mannered and polite and fun to converse with as the work proceeded. The tear down was completed, site cleaned and prepared to be boxed in with the new frame. Rebar was pounded through the 4x6 framing boards to anchor the frame to the ground. Gravel was tamped as added until the frame was full. I asked for an additional two feet to be filled in along the back of the garage area and the crew completed that for me. Everyone worked together to clean up and you never tell anyone was ever there to do anything. The old materials were loaded into the trucks, driveway swept and job complete. I would definitely hire Trace and his crew to complete any of the work the offer on their website. Meeting Trace and the crew provided the level of trust right up front and I knew there were going to be no issues and we were in good hands. Other contractors would not quote or accept this small job as they wanted all big jobs.

We've reached a mutual understanding of the incident.

Everything turned out excellent and better than we expected. First, Trace was incredibly responsive and proactive. He was prompt - whether communicating by email or phone, he always quickly responded. He was proactive - he not only quickly understood the concept we were trying to acheive, but he owned it, took it on and implemented it with no issue. Additionally, he was very detail oriented - in fact, he reached out the day before they were to start work to see how wet the yard was because he did not want to damage the yard if it was still wet. Given it was a little wet, he was very accomodating and changed schedule. Trace and his team were promptly on the job, got it done exactly on time, below budget, and they were very professional. Not only was the work they did high quality, but Trace and his team gave an attention to detail that unfortunately tends to be lacking with other contractors. Trace and his team were very considerate and did a great job of cleaning up the site once the job was done instead of rushing off. We are extremely satisfied with the end result. We strongly recommend Tab Property Enhancement and would definitely use them again in the future.

If you want a deck built, Tab is the company you want doing it. Trace is a modern day contractor who understands good customer service. We bid this project out to 6 different Angie's list contractors, and Tab had the lowest cost, the quickest timeline to get the project done, and kept us informed on the status throughout the entire project. It was REALLY nice to be able to shoot an email to Trace and get a response the same day. Best of all for us, was that Trace was able to give us a CAD drawing of the deck with the tub in place so we could see how it would look before he even started the project. I don't know of too many contractors who can or will do that for you. Our project had to be completed in a couple of steps, as we needed the platform built first in order to have tub delivered and then the deck built around the tub. Trace and his team worked a Saturday to build the platform, then 2 more days to complete the deck. They were really pleasant to interact with onsite and they cleaned up after themselves when they were done. The deck itself isn't ordinary or standard; it truly is a custom deck. The hot tub platorm sinks the tub to about 30 inches above the deck floor (a perfect height to get in and out of it). The deck wraps itself around the tub cleanly. The handrails are all hand routed. The deck lights are installed with the wiring hidden in the rails for a nice clean look. The gate we asked for was hand built onsite. Trace even built us a custom shelf along the side of the tub that is great for drinks and completely removable. We are extremely pleased with how this entire project was handled, start to finish and plan on using Tab for future projects.

Trace came out the same day I called to look at the location and we got an estimate promptly. Once we gave him the go-ahead he was very good about keeping us in the loop about scheduling. His crew was very nice and very professional -- even my dogs liked them. They finished on time and on budget. Couldn't ask for more.

I requested estimates from 4 contract landscapers. Three responded. During walking tours of the lot, I explained the work I was requesting to each contractor. I divided the lot into three sections and explained what I wanted in each section. Trace was the only one that provided a detailed estimate breaking down the material, labor, and equipment costs by each section and a total. Trace's estimate was the only one with enough detail that allowed me to conclude that he could accomplish what I wanted within the estimate provided. He was also the only one that proposed doing the work in timing I requested. Much of the fill dirt and top soil provided (about 20 truck loads) had to be moved to the back half of the lot by going across my recently poured driveway. The driveway was covered with plywood where it was to be crossed. Bobcats were used to move the dirt and do the grading. There was no damage to the driveway. The Bobcats were too heavy to do the soil moving and grading work within about 15-to-20 ft. of the septic mound. To avoid the soil compaction that the Bobcats would have caused in this area, Trace used a Mini-DitchWitch to do all the work in this area. This worked out very well and actually helped reduce the severity of one of the septic problems we had been experiencing. Trace and his team started the work in mid-June. Their work was interrupted twice by sever thunderstorms. These thunderstorms not only delayed completion of the work but also washed out top soil in some of the areas where there was high storm water run-off. Trace and his crew returned promptly after the storms stopped and the yard dried out. Trace would take the time after each storm to notify me when he thought they would return. They not only restarted the work but they also re-did any work that the storm washed out. The storms also showed that in a couple of areas that the grading work did not create the rain water run-off desired. In each of these instances the grading was re-done to accomplish the desired run-off. The street / culdesac we live on runs downhill. One side of the front yard is level with the street and the other side is about 20 feet above the street. This higher side of the property has a steep slope down to the street. Deep divits had been created on the slope by the water run-off down this slope. The first attempt to fill-in and grade this slope was washed out by one of the thunderstorms. One of Trace's team scraped off the mud washed onto the culdesac. As part of the second fill-in, grading, and seeding of this steep slope Trace's team: 1) filled the divits with soil containing rocks dug up by the the rock hound tilling of the yard, and 2) covered this slope after seeding with a nylon mesh net that had straw adhered to one side. There has been no further soil run-off from this slope and the grass is growing. Trace and his team were a pleasure to work with. They worked hard but always took the time to answer my questions. Several of my neighbors on the culdesac stopped to talk to them about the soil errosion that had occurred over the years on the steep slope down to the street. Since the work by Trace and his team these neighbors talk about this grading work with a smile.

I called on 8/23/13 and spoke to Trace who told me to send him an e-mail with the work I needed done and that he would e-mail be back with a time for an estimate. I did that and he responded with a time and date he would come out, but the first thing that bothered me about that is that he just assumed that I would accommodate that time and date. I did, only because I was free at that time but thought it was a bit presumptuous and it also indicated that perhaps they're too busy to actually have a conversation to determine a time that is suitable to both of us. And for me it also indicated that they may not be very customer oriented. However, that was minor and if I was going to meet with a knowledgeable person, it was worth it. Unfortunately, that was not the case either. I have had some bad experiences dealing with people that really don't know plants and are planting in the wrong place in conditions that are not conducive for the plant and have had to transplant later. So my approach now is to ask the kind of questions that requires them to be knowledgeable, to which he did not meet my expectations. I have talked to people that actually know plants that don't even hesitate for a second as to what it is, where it should be planted, how it should be cared for, were able to look at a leaf and tell me what was wrong with the plant, so I now know the difference. I would highly suggest to anyone looking for a landscaper to educate yourself BEFORE you talk to any of them so that you can spot the ones that are just blowing smoke and, from my experience, is a good majority of them. Trace was professional and very pleasant but I just did not get the level of confidence that I am looking for regarding plants. Again, I have had some bad experiences and my criteria is much more stringent than it was the last two years and I may be much more hypercritical than I would have initially been. I probably could have saved myself a lot of grief had I vetted better in the past. The next morning I received an e-mail telling me that he got some new jobs he wasn't aware of and that they were busy until the end of October so he could quote on my pergola and walkway but the plantings I might want to look for someone else. He also indicated in our correspondence the next morning that they were more of a hardscape and deck company and he knew half way through our conversation that my plantings would require more time than they had available right now. I had no problem with the fact that they were busy but would have appreciated him just telling me that up front so that we didn't waste each others time. Trace has contacted me regarding my review since my original posting, indicating he thought it was unfair, but I'm not sure what was unfair about it. I was looking for a person that would know plants and how to care for them. In my opinion, that was not him. That does not mean that he isn't good at what he does or that he can't plant plants. A lot of landscapers can do that, but because I am looking for someone that can direct me on how to care for those plants once they are in, for me, he was not going to work based on some of the questions that I asked. I have talked to several other people that were also not a good fit for what I am looking for, however they were not "hired" as indicated in the response. I did discuss those other people and what I encountered simply as a way for him to understand what I was looking for but did not hire them anymore than I hired him. So that comment is totally incorrect. I place reviews based on my experiences, nothing more, and members can read all the reviews, as I do, and decide for themselves. That is what I thought Angie's list was all about, not just posting good reviews when work is completed. As I indicated to Trace, I post my review based on my experience and what I was looking for and he is free to post a response as he has now done. Everyone can decide for themselves who they want to deal with and which reviews to discount. I rarely look back to see if a provider has responded but had a feeling that this might happen, since he felt the need to call me on the phone to tell me my review was unfair, and wanted to make sure that the information was accurate. At this point, I no longer care what response is given as I can no longer spend anymore time on this.

Trace was awesome. His crew came out on time - despite the rainy summer we have had - and the yard looks better than we pictured it would be. Trace worked within our budget yet somehow managed to give us a lot more than we thought we could afford. We will definitely use Tab Property Enhancement in the future and would recommend him to friends. Thank you Trace!!
