The reason for this work was that the backyard was not graded properly by the builder so all rain ended up flooding our patio. After the drainage pipe was installed, no more flooding! Bill et.al. did a very professional job! I do not know how he did it but there was no dirt or mud left in the area he trenched! I did not have to perform any follow up work. Very well done. Dottie returns email in a very timely manner and is very pleasant!

Was looking for an estimate for repair of wall cracks in my mother's basement. I called them on June 30th and spoke to a woman who said she would speak to the man who does the estimates later that evening and set up a time probably the following week. The next day I received no call, so I left a message this time and still no response. I waited until Thursday the 3rd and left one more message and once again nothing. Business must be really good to be able to just blow off potential customers.

We were under a very tight time-frame, due to relocation. We needed the job completed quickly so appraisers could evaluate the house. Clink Builders worked through the weekend and got the job done on time. They were even there, cleaning off the driveway, the morning of our appraisals. Throughout the project, they communicated with the structural engineer and complied with his concerns.

I haven't got the work done yet; but the guy was incredibly knowledgeable enough. He warned me about what needed to be done. He told me about what problems I could have if I went with some of the other waterproofing systems. Even if I don't use them, he told me what needs to happen. He was very clear about making sure that the right thing was done, whether he got the business or not. They were kind of busy.

We had them waterproof the vertical crack that was leaking water during periods of heavy rain. It was located in an area beneath a room overhang and a concrete patio section that needed to be cut out for access to the outside wall. We met with Bill Clink who assured us he could do the work and he followed-up with a written, detail quotation. He and his high energy crew, did what we expected and a whole lot more. They were very polite, answered any question we had and got to work. I mean they got to Work! The concrete cutting saw, sheets of plywood to protect the lawn and two large trucks were only first few pieces of equipment we noticed. We felt as though they really knew their business as they unloaded the back-hoe and other large machinery. As the job progressed, so did our confidence level. There was no doubt in our minds that this was all in a days work for these guys, who came with a plan, the skills and the equipment to do the job. They dug down to the neccessary drainage pipe levels, and more, power-washed the wall water proofed it and filled up with the appropriate gravel. Un-needed soil was hauled away. They cleaned up everything including sweeping the drive-way just before leaving. Please not also that Dottie, who manages the office for the company, was wonderful and very responsive in returning calls and keeping customers informed. They did a great job!

They came - they saw - they conquered - they cleaned up. Really, my yard and garage were cleaner after they were there compared to before. They dropped all of the equipment off the night before so they'd be ready to go. Two fellows were there in the am - and got started right away. They were polite - didn't step all over my flowers (other workers have always done this) and were so incredibly effecient. Really, these guys know what they're doing - they don't mess around. And they were nice. They also took a took at my septic system which was acting funny and Bill Clink even ran up to Home Depot to get a bottle of Febreze for my house! My neighbors both commented that they couldn't believe how fast they got the work done and were out of there. And one neighbor also had waterproofing done earlier in year. We played a bit of phone tag to get things scheduled - but it was worth it. I'm going to call them again to do my patio when I'm ready to go. I would highly recommend Bill, Eric and their crew!!! Owner contacted me and arranged an estimate. His pricing was fair and competitive. Once the terms were agreed upon, he scheduled service within a couple days and the job was done within one day.

We received detailed estimates of the work required to address all of our issues. Due to financial constraints we decided to go with another company. However we were impressed with Bill's knowledge and professionalism and appreciate the time he spent.

Bill and his crew are amazing. AMAZING. Extremely professional and answered all of my questions. I had water in my floor heating ducts just in the newer (80s?) addition of my 1956 slab ranch. My private nightmare had started 4 years back with drainage issues in the backyard ? Removed 3 yards(!) of dirt ? which was probably just dumped in the yard from the addition build. This did not fix the swamp I got every time a cloud passed overhead. A friend installed a French drain in the backyard which took care of a major part of the problem but I still had flooding on the patio that never seemed to dry. Then the water started to show up in my floor?s heat ducts in the house. Four separate companies told me four different solutions but Bill?s made the most sense. . . no one can see through dirt to know what is truly the problem so let?s find out? Initially, they camera?ed through all the drain tiles they could find to see if the whole problem could be fixed easily by removing tree roots in the drain system. That alone can back up any system. He even called the city for me to see if THEY would come do it for free. Bay Village will only camera so far up from the street so I had Bill go ahead and investigate. It was also how he could find out if drain tiles were even in place on the addition. His invoice was less than he quoted ($360) and he found a broken pipe which no one else would have ever discovered. After quote approval, I had them replace the broken tile connection, install drain tiles around the two sides of the addition. The third side was covered by the patio. Given the pitch and location, Bill thought we might be able to fix the problem approaching the ground sides first. The two guys worked in the cold and the rain for two days ? which actually was helpful because we could track the progress inside. Things were immediately better but we discovered that there was still just a little water showing up in the ducts. So, Bill came back out and reevaluated. We decided they should go ahead and do the third side as well which was the right thing to do. And knowing that the water is pitching from my neighbors? much higher yard and across the patio towards the house, they installed drains all along the outside of the patio to manage the water before it even gets a chance to get to the house. Three other landscape guys totally missed this. They replanted the few plants they had to move out of the way to do the work ? putting them back in a better position (originally planted too close to the house). They even re-leveled my air conditioner slab that was affected by the drainage issue and warned me that although I have gutter guards, they had gotten filled with pine needles which weren?t helping.

Clink was excellent to work with and went above and beyond our expectations. The crews were punctual and tidy! The work was performed in the basement and everything appears to have been fixed. They seem more than fair in their pricing. High quality every way you look at it.

Had a bid on a house, had it inspected, and found problems. So I called a few places, but it was a Saturday so no one answered. But Clink called me back, and we discussed what was found. I sent him pictures from the inspector. The seller refused to budge on price, despite the fact that we found serious problems. But I got an informal estimate from Clink anyway. He was really nice and spent perhaps an hour on the phone with me, despite the fact that he already knew he would not get business from me! Old fashioned good service. If I ever need stuff done, he is at the top of my list.

A worker put a video line down into the underground water lines to check for the cause of water leakage in the basement.

Basement waterproof around whole perimeter of house. Complete tear off and rebuild of new front porch and walkway. Install new drain tile in backyard sewer and minor concrete work in back yard plus retaining wall.

He came and checked out the waterproofing to make sure everything was okay. He had high ratings and good reviews. We can expect prompt service, good product and a good job done from him.

Replaced a broken sump pump. Service was excellent, punctual, communication on point. Didn't oversell us just explained what needed to be done. So nice to hear honesty. Will use use and recommend him again.

Great communication. Bill was punctual and identified the reason why our basement flooded (and was honest about it instead of over selling us). Came out the following day and installed a new sump pump. Made sure it was working properly and explained future maintenance and cleaned up. Will use Clink Builders again in the future. Dottie was a joy to deal with as well.

Horrible. I left a message for the owner (11/12/13) and was called back 2 days later. I explained what we needed done and he asked for our relators information so he could contact her about meeting on Saturday to look at the home. He was supposed to call her the next day, but did not. Then on Saturday (11/16/13) he called her about setting up a time to look at the home that day. She was unable to let him in with such short notice, so she told him it would be okay to look at the roof and told him the location of where the waterproofing would be. He supposedly went out to the home and looked at the issues. I called them the week of the 18th because I hadn't heard anything and I left my email address so the estimate could be emailed to me. I never heard back, so I called again on the 25th and gave them my email yet again. Finally on the 27th I received an estimate, but it was only for the waterproofing. I called again and told Dot Clink that I only received one of the estimates. She said she would talk to Bill and get the other one to me. Today, December 2nd, she called and left a message stating that Bill said that we should go to another company to get the flashing repaired on the roof. Super unprofessional and I will not use them. Unfortunate for them because we have an entire remodel to do with this home.

Bill and Dottie were great to work with. We had a very complicated problem with a leak in the basement wall and not knowing where it was coming from. When it was finally found Eric decided to go in through the basement instead of tearing apart the brand new kitchen cabinets and we were thankful for that. They repaired the plumbing and stopped the leak. They also repaired all of the damage including the rotten wood, drywall, and ceiling which we were grateful for. Shawn did everything the City plumbing inspector asked him to do even though it meant a little more work on their part. They are very professional and they did a wonderful job and we feel confident that the problem has been solved.

We initially contracted Clink to fix our front basement wall that had cracked and gradually shifted inward by about 1 inch. We had another company install wall anchors about 5 years ago but they failed to stop the movement. Clink planned to dig down to the drain tile, reinforce the wall with rebar/cement and apply new waterproofing. When they came out to do the work a couple months later, they found that the side wall had also cracked and shifted (this wasn't noticed when originally quoted because we had too many things stacked against the wall). So they dug that out as well, carefully working around front steps and utility connections so our service was not affected. When they checked the drain tile, they found that it was completely plugged with clay. So they replaced several sections, flushed out the rest and installed two cleanouts. After repairing the wall they filled in with gravel and topsoil. One bush was too large to save but we were able to replant the rest of the bushes that they had removed and stored at the side of our garage. They came back a month later to repair the back corner which was seeping. This section was obstructed by our deck and air conditioner, so they had to hand dig about 8 ft. They found a crack in the wall and blocked drain tile there also. They patched this, applied new waterproofing and installed another cleanout. Although the work was much more extensive than we originally expected, we are confident that the problem is really fixed this time and we are happy with the work that Clink did. Bill was on site himself so we were quickly informed of the additional problems as they were discovered. His crew was careful and did a very thorough cleanup.

Clink was not the low bidder but we thought he would do a quality job, particularly since he said he would be on site to lead his crew. We signed the contract in March but he preferred to pour in cooler weather, so we agreed to have work done in fall. Once they started, everything went smoothly- one day to dig out old drive, one day to fill, set forms and put down wire mesh. Waited a day for city inspection, then they poured the next day and finished/sealed the following day. As work progressed they checked frequently to see if work was being done to our satisfaction. We requested one minor change after the forms were set (to taper the apron, even though we were getting a drive 2 ft wider than the original drive) and that was done promptly. We are especially happy with the way they laid out the curved walkway. Bill was easy to talk to and his crew were very friendly. They did a super cleanup. Bill offered to relevel the lawn (which had sunk in spots over 30 years) and patch/coat the old front porch concrete. We'll get quotes on that work in spring. We are extremely pleased with their work and highly recommend them to anyone who needs concrete or foundation repairs. They do quality work with attention to the details so their job will last.

The estimate was made in a timely manor. The request for a down payment before the work started was delivered. Then there was a 7-8 week wait before an appointment to fix the crack was made. We were not prepared for the wait. The company had a lot of outdoor work that they wanted to get done before the winter weather arrives. We are pleased with the work. The crack was fixed on a Sunday which was fine with us. A home inspector had suggested a lower price for the repair but we could not find anyone who had the equipment and the knowledge to do the work. It was an all day project and the employee doing the work was friendly, courteous and delivered some desert from his grandmother's Sunday family dinner! I have recommended the Clinks to another person needing a crack in the poured foundation.

The crew did a great job. Punctual and professional. The contract was originally just for the waterproofing and concrete work. I decided during the job that I wanted to replace the back porch. Bill was very accommodating: provided me with a fair estimate the same day. It took a few days for the materials to arrive but the additional work was done within a week. Bill and/or his son were present each work day and kept things moving. When necessary, they stopped work to show me issues they discovered along the way and gave me practical options for handling them. I appreciate that they patiently answered all my of questions. I never felt like Bill was trying to up-sell or take advantage of us. I am delighted with all of the work that was done. My only criticism is that it took months to nail down a start date for the project. When I made the downpayment (in March), I was told work would start within a few weeks. Weeks turned into months and I found myself having to call the office every few weeks to find out what was going on. Since I had never worked with Clink before (and I had made a hefty downpayment), the situation made me nervous. I later found out that, due to the cold and rainy spring, the crew was behind schedule. I understand that they have a small crew and delays happen but I think their office should be more proactive about communicating delays to customers. Despite the rocky start, I would definitely work with Bill and his crew again. They are good, honest people, and they do beautiful work.

The owner Bill was very punctual and courteous when providing an estimate for the job. He understood what we needed in the way of new drains and drain repair in the garage. He arrived with his crew and equipment as promised and they worked hard and completed the job quickly. He found a better way to run the drain through the garage once he got underway that saved us from having to concern ourselves with some underground electrical wires. When we requested an additional drain near the house, he made the change, no problem. He and his crew stayed with the job through to completion, there were no delays or days of 'no show'. We are very happy with the final result. Very professional looking job. His experience shows. Communication from Bill and his office was excellent throughout.

Everyone was professional and friendly. The job was explained very well to me before it was started. It took 2 days to finish and to my surprise they had taken the extra dirt and spread and evened out my yard where I had a tree removed and was sinking. They also took the time to put the furniture back onto the patio. Thank you! It was a very pleasant experience. P.S. Patio looks great!

Needed some work done asap. They came right out quickly and finished the job in a professional manner. The owners were exceptional. They delivered as promised. I would recommend them. Next time, I need any type of home repair, I will use their services again.
