Saved us tens of thousands of dollars, we knew we had wind damage but did not know it was covered by insurance. Worked with us very well throughout the process. He helped us select the new roof by giving us local homes to see the colors available not just pictures in a catalog. Crew was professional, prompt and cleaned up as if they were never here.

Buckeye State Roofing is a business I would highly recommend. The owner, Brent, was involved in the oversight of the installation. What a personable and conscientious person to work with! His crew were prompt, worked efficiently and quickly, and cleaned up as promised. They even took care not to trample my flowers that were already poking up! My new roof is beautiful! Thanks so much, guys, for your hard work!

Bret and his staff are excellent team. Bret did an amazing job to some neighbors who highly recommended him to replace my friend’s roof. Bret knows what he does. He is very clear when he explains the process, timing, prices, and quality of the materials. The quality of job reflects his long term experience and knowledge of his career as a roofer. I will always recommend Bret without hesitation because of the amazing experience with him. If I say thank you, it is not enough.

My husband and I were so amazed on the amount of customer service, respect that Buckeye State Roofing provided us! They were so clean on every process of tearing down the roof, they covered all flowers, trees, bushes below to make sure that no roof materials, nails or anything fell onto any landscaping. Each day they were there, they would completely clean up and make sure there was not any debris, nails anything on the grass. All of the workers even double checked the grass because they knew we had dogs to insure their safety as well. The entire time that the workers were there the Boss would go over everything that was taking place during the process what to expect thru out each day. We were informed of the time that they would arrive and the time they would depart each day. The whole process was so smooth that it did not cause any inconvenience to our family at all. We were preparing for a Graduation party that weekend which Buckeye State Roofing was aware of and they made sure that the job was done, completed and cleaned prior too. We would recommend Buckeye State Roofing to any of our family and friends without any question. Great Job! We love our new roof and we are confident that we made the right decision with Buckeye State Roofing.
Description of Work: Buckeye State Roofing came over to inspect our roof of damage of a bad storm because we noticed some leaking in the ceiling, the customer service that was provided was so exceptional that we did not consider obtaining another quote. We had a complete tear down of our old roof, repair work completed and an entire new roof installed up to code. We also had lightening rods on our roof and they took the care to make sure they were removed properly and reinstalled after the new roof was completed. We love our roof, the appearance, the color everything about it. We even had some friends comment on it because they can see how nice it is from the road and referred our friends to Buckeye State Roofing. Great company, great service!!

I can't say enough good things about Brent and his crew. I was kept informed throughout the whole process and they were very considerate of myself and my property. All materials were taken care of and the yard and flower beds were tarped to protect our lawn and flowers. At the end of each day he ran a magnet over our yard several times to ensure that there weren't any loose nails. This was HUGE for me as we have two small children. All in all we are very satisfied customers.
Description of Work: Every time that it would rain we would lose shingles off of our roof. We knew it was time to replace our roof. After shopping around we decided to go with Buckeye State Roofing. From the first contact with Brent, every step was professional and all details covered. Brent kept us informed as to when we would be scheduled as this was also a job that would require the weather to cooperate.

Brent was really easy to work with. With tearing off 2 existing layers of roofing and putting a brand new one up, Brent and his team were able to do everything in one day. After they were finished Brent and his staff did a thorough job of cleaning up the yard and checking for any lose nails that may have fallen. We would definitely recommend his company, Buckeye State Roofing, to anyone who asked.
Description of Work: Completely replaced roof. Tore off 2 layers and replaced plywood as necessary. We also had our gutters replaced as well.

Brent and his crew are very professional. They did a great job, worked quickly to get the job done. When they were all done, they cleaned up so well, you wouldn't have even known they were there...except for the beautiful new roof and gutters on the house. We will be sure to tell anyone that needs a roof to use Buckeye State Roofing!!! Thanks for doing a job well done :)
Description of Work: Brent and his crew did a total tear off, (a slight pitch change on a small portion of the roof): installed a whole new roof with soffit, fascia boards, wrapped them in aluminum, along with replacing the gutters and downspouts.

Most of the work was good, but the capping is leaking and he will not come back to fix it. He says that he will charge me for another visit. He claims that my chimney is actually what is leaking leaking, but I know that it isn't my chimney because there are other places that are leaking too. He caulked my chimney area and said that if it leaked again to call him. I called and this is the trouble that he is giving me now. He's a nice guy but he isn't standing behind his work.
Description of Work: He replaced the front side of my roof.

Response from Buckeye State Roofing LLC
I replaced the front half of Mr. [Removed Member Name]' roof in 2011 due to incredibly poor workmanship from the previous installer. The previous installer, a buddy of Mr. [Removed Member Name]' son, did a full tear off and used a quality 30 year dimensional shingle for the project but did a terrible job installing the shingles. Mr. [Removed Member Name]'s roof was replaced only a few years earlier but it had so many problems that he needed to have the roof redone. The new roof installed by the family friend leaked in many, many different areas but most especially on the front of the house. Mr. [Member Name Removed] told me that when it rained you couldn't stand on the front porch because "rain cascaded like a waterfall" through the shingles and roof deck, onto the porch. I suggested to Mr. [Member Name Removed] to replace the entire roof because if there was shoddy workmanship on the front of the home, it was safe to assume there was shoddy workmanship on the back of the home as well. Mr. [Member Name Removed] did not allow me to replace the entire roof because he said the work on the back of the roof wasn't as bad. I was contracted to replace the shingles on the front half of Mr. [Removed Member Name]' home. We replaced the FRONT HALF of Mr. [Removed Member Name] roof. After we replaced the shingles on the FRONT HALF ONLY of Mr. [Removed Member Name] roof, he called and told me his roof was leaking after a rainstorm. I went out to his home right away, the same day, to address the situation: - The first water stain he showed me was on the hallway ceiling of his home. So I went into the part of the attic that was above the water stain on the ceiling, and located the roof leak. He had a bucket up in his attic, half filled with water, that was leaned up against the chimney. This chimney was on the BACK of the house, around five or six feet away from the main ridge of the home. I told Mr. [Member Name Removed] that his chimney was leaking, which I could clearly see and pointed out to him. Mr. [Member Name Removed] had climbed the stairs leading into his attic at this point and had his head inside the attic space while I showed him the leak. The chimney was literally only a foot or two away from the entry way of the attic so it was very easy to see the water stains on the wood around the chimney. Mr. [Member Name Removed] is the one who placed the bucket next to the chimney to catch leaking water to begin with, so I know he had already investigated the issue and most likely already saw these stains on the wood. The bucket used for catching the water had cob webs and dust on it. I realize it is an attic but it looked like the bucket had been there for some time. Mr. [Member Name Removed] insisted, even though he and I could both clearly see where the leak was coming from (directly above the bucket), that the water was coming from the ridge where the cap shingles had been installed. The main ridge of the house was around five or six feet from where the water stains were around his chimney, with no wet spots or stains on the wood between the ridge and chimney. He was telling me that the water was getting blown in under the cap shingles, running down five or six feet with no drips, then leaking in one specific area on the chimney. This theory of the leak is impossible. There is no way water was being blown in under the cap shingles. There wasn't even a ridge vent on the ridge, which would have made a stronger argument but still not a valid argument. Meanwhile, we should remember this chimney is on the BACK half of the house when I only replaced the shingles on the front half. - The next water stain he showed me was in the kitchen of his home, which had a partially vaulted ceiling. Mr. [Member Name Removed] had a skylight in his kitchen and there were water stains on the ceiling directly below the skylight. The kitchen and skylight in question are located in the BACK of the home, around ten to fifteen feet away from the main ridge. There is no attic space above this part of the kitchen so I could not get up into the attic and see exactly where water was coming in but I assumed the skylight was leaking since the water stains were directly below the skylight. When I suggested that the skylight was leaking to Mr. [Member Name Removed], he adamantly insisted that this was not the case. He said rain was being blown in under the cap shingles, making its way down from the ridge that was approximately ten to fifteen feet away, going around the skylight, and leaking onto the ceiling directly below the skylight. There were no signs of water damage between the skylight and the ridge, which were around ten to fifteen feet apart. It is still important to remember that this water stain was in the BACK half of the home, which had nothing to do with my work on the front half of the home. I then went up on the roof of the house to investigate the two leaks. The back half of the roof was installed improperly in so many different ways, but most especially around the flashings of the skylight and chimney. It was easy to see that the family friend who installed the roof did not know the proper way to flash a chimney or skylight. I came back down and told Mr. [Member Name Removed] what I saw and showed him pictures of my findings. He would not listen to me at all, constantly insisting the leaks were caused by water being blown in under the cap shingles while ignoring any and all evidence to the contrary. I went back up on the roof with caulking and a caulk gun and did my best to try and caulk/seal anything I thought was potentially leaking around the chimney or skylight. I did this for him at no charge because I was trying to help him. The leaks on Mr. [Removed Member Name] roof are on the BACK HALF of the roof. I did not replace the back half of the roof. I only replaced the front half of the roof. I can guarantee no water is blowing in under the cap shingles, I have never even heard of such a thing. It is not right to contract someone to replace the shingles on the front half of your home and then put the blame on them when the back part of roof is leaking.
