They were excellent, I was happy with the service they provided me. I would use them again in the future.

I pay about $45 each time for their services. I know that I have got the best of the best and I have no complaints. They've got solutions and they do a very good job on my yard. Their price is average and the same as everybody else. They do good work. They have me on a cycle; so I don't call them, they just show up. They don't come on appointments; so they just come, do their thing and leave me a bill. I will use them again in the future.

The lawn and everything is descent. But they are such pests that they call about every extra things. They are pretty pricey. They come and do what they are supposed to do. If you have a problem, they come and fix that. I would use them in the future.

We gave TruGreen another chance in 2010 due to the poor quality of service received the first time around in 2009. I was called by their corporate office asking us to give them another chance and was given two treatments (free of charge) as well as half price off of a re-seed of our front lawn. We were reluctant but we thought we would give them another chance in the hopes that services would be better the second time around. Well the same issues sprouted (pun intended) up as the first time around. Technicians not spraying the full yard as required. We received charges to our account for services that weren't even provided. When I called to get a credit back to my account, the excuse given to me by the service rep was that the bill probably blew off the door since it was a windy day. However the technician told us that he did not even spray our house that day due to him being behind schedule. To this day we still have not received a credit. Our grass looked horrible after every treatment and we were given the excuse that it takes a while for the weeds to disappear and for the lawn to look better. However the next day they sent a technician out (while we were home) and he sprayed the whole yard. Guess what, the weeds wilted and were gone in two days. The last straw (and this was our problem the first time around) was that each time someone came out to spray, the technician stated that the person who sprayed before them were no longer with the company due to the fact that they weren't treating the lawns correctly. We canceled the service all together the next day. The service manager called two weeks after we canceled and wanted to come out to our house again to look at our lawn and try to get our business back. We told him to don't even bother.

I tried them and worked on a package deal. It’s a little too early to comment on the quality. The service that I had was pretty straightforward. There were 4 applications and they pretty much spelled out what was in each application. What I found with TruGreen was that they actually come with the same basis. I’ve still got the applications 4, 5 and there’s spring, late spring, early summer and so on and I felt that I should have asked few more questions, but I didn’t. I was comparing them with what I thought to what the reality was. With the previous service, I used to get fertilization, weed killing and there was the early pesticide application that was done. They had other services like the shrub and all that kind of stuff. Everything was there and I didn’t have to worry about anything, but what I found with TruGreen was that they don’t really give all that information in clear and concise manner. The fertilization has 4 things and then all of a sudden I get a call saying that they noticed some grubs in the yard and they could do the pesticide treatment and then the shrub treatment and then there was another. Before I knew it they had got all these programs of their choice. What I noticed with my other guy who was a little cheaper than these guys was that the pesticide was one of the first treatments involved. With TruGreen it’s like I’ve got the fertilization, but now there’s this extra and that extra. I had all that before from the previous guy and it wasn’t extra. That is my displeasure and I have to blame myself because I should have asked a few more questions. I’ve learnt a lesson. They came to me with the fertilization and the shrub thing and I thought that it was good because I’ve had a hip surgery and I’m not getting around. I wanted to make sure that there were no caterpillars and stuff like that. I normally take care of the garden. They called me for another type of treatment which I don’t remember. They are going to call me every 10 days and sell a $500 deal. This is the disappointment with them. At this point I don’t know how well they are killing the weeds and stuffs. Their price looks upfront, but it’s not and I’m learning now. Their responsiveness has been good. Their punctuality is fine because they come when they are supposed to come. They are professional. I would have to sit down with them and discuss some of the things that I have learnt and don’t know whether I would use them again or not. Since I have a contract, I would have them come out.

They are customer centric and ensure the customer’s happiness with their product. They do a good job and I will continue to use them in future.

I have probably had them for about 20 years, and they come out all the time. They take care of the weeds and all that kind of stuff. I have probably one of the most beautiful lawns in the neighborhood. I do what they tell me, water when I can and so forth. The longevity of the relationship I have with them is what makes the lawn very good. If I happen to be home when they come by, I go out and talk to them, and they are always very courteous and responsive if I have some questions for them. I have had no problems with them. If I did have problems, I would call them and they would be very responsive to my requests. I have not really compared their prices with anybody else because I have had no reason to switch. If the quality of their service went down or there was a dramatic increase in their price, then I would start looking around. Their punctuality is good; I have not really had any problems for a reason to make a specific phone call. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

The sales person said that they would give me a second application for free. Once they applied the 2nd application, they sent me a bill. Then they kept calling and sending me bills when the second application should have been free. I called the better business bureau and then they did not contact me after that.

They'd signed up last year as our new lawn service. The salesperson told us they would improve our lawn's appearance and throw in an aeration in the fall. The appearance didn't improve, and they didn't show up for an aeration, so I canceled them.

Terrible. Lots of crab grass through out summer. They only provided excuses as to why crab grass was growing. Never performed service when scheduled. had scheduled lawn areation for september, they did not peform work until end of november!!!! FREQUENT sales calls, often several sales people would call for the same treatment, even after I had told them I was not interested. It seemed they cut corners, as an entire lawn application took 6 minutes. Billing was a NIGHTMARE, as they even billed the worng account for services performed on my yard. I needed to call many times to get billing issues resolved. I canceled service months ago and still recieve 1-2 sales calls from them a week. Also had them do some tree and shrub treatments. One service tech sold me on it, said it would help. The next month a different service tech said treatment was unnecessary for my situation and canceld service himself. Communication at this company is a huge problem!

They are awful. They don't follow directions. I wouldn't trust the people. We have an inground pool and the directions are not to put anything around it. I have sat on the porch where they can't see me and watched them put it in from the machine which messes up our chlorine. . I have watched them over and over the years doing that. We would cancel the service and then try it again. They would promise they would do it right and then they wouldn't do it right again. We've talked to them many times and they just make more promises. We would not use them again.

They first came out and did our trees and shrubs. We don't remember ordering that service. They would come out without us knowing and put a flag in the yard. They did grub control one time and we didn't know they were coming. We have a dog and we wanted to know when they were coming. My husband said that every time they came the yard looked worse. We had more weeds, more ivy and clover than we did before so we told them not to come anymore because they were ruining our lawn. We had used them before and they used the weed killer on my bushes and 4 of them died. Their price is competitive. If we called they would send somebody out right away.

I have used them for two or three years. They do a good job of coming on time and calling ahead. Their service calls are free with the annual contract I have purchased.

The job was fine. I am not sure if we will use them going forward because of the price. Scott's is fine but the price might be a little higher than the rest.

They come over 7 times a year for lawn treatment. They also added a pest control outside recently. They are the best amongst a lot other companies I have used. I like their services and will continue to use them in future.

Every year we saw a pattern in their service. A ten-minute service visit about once a month, followed by lousy results including many weeds and crabgrasses, followed by repeated calls to complain, and eventually a return service call to spray for weeds. I will also attest what another reviewer reported, that in 2009 there was a row of dead grass along a tree line that had to have been caused by the service tech. This year, however, the results have been catastrophically bad. Our lawn developed dead and bare spots despite regular watering and regular service calls by Scotts. I again called to complain and asked for someone to come out to inspect and diagnose the problem. During the late summer Scotts came out three times in response to my calls, but didn't have the slightest clue as to what type of disease the lawn had incurred. The worst part of this is that I had to be the one to notice. The service "report" that the technician leaves behind after each visit seemed to have been prepared in advance and didn't say anything specific about the conditions of my lawn. I can tell you this, I get great attention when I hold off in paying my bill. After thirty days the phone calls start, asking when they will get paid. It shows you what they consider most important, and it's not customer satisfaction.

Terrible. Do not use them. They are like the mafia of lawn care. They will badge relentlessy for more money and more services.

This summer they ruined my lawn. It is covered in crabgrass. Half of my grass is dead. I have an in the ground irrigation system which I used starting in the spring. There is no reason for my lawn to be dead. I have repeatedly called asking for someone there to come out and look at my yard. One month has gone by with noone from the company coming out to inspect my yard.

They are always professional and on time. They present themselves very well and they do a great job.

The first application was towards the end of last summer. We were told that our lawn would take approximately 1 year to completely improve. It has been exactly 1 year since we began the service and have had marginal improvement. The lawn was looking more green during spring but by the end of the summer we had just as many weeds as before using the service.After the last application, we also noticed some brown spots on the grass where no weeds had been present. We indicated that we would like a technician or a manager to walk the property with us to point out the problem areas and discuss the proper course of action (and whether Scott's would be able to treat those particular weeds). My husband asked to be present for the meeting and Scott's has called to speak with him, but we are currently stuck in a phone tag cycle that has been going on for a few weeks. The telephone reps are very professional and courteous, but I am just not impressed with the overall service. In addition, Scott's makes frequent phone calls and sends e-mails in order to "up-sell" other services. We also hired them for insect control on our trees and landscaping and have yet to see any noticable improvement (as I am sure it takes at least one season for leaf damage to be repaired). The insecticide simply did not work on the Japenese Beetles at all. Their prices for aeration and overseeding are very inflated.

They treated my lawn at various times. I have never been satisfied with their work, however, I kept hoping my lawn would look better. Someone called for me to get additional service, but I told them to cancel everything, I did not want any more treatments. Instead of complying with my request, they treated my yard again. I do not think I should have to pay since I did not authorize it. However, they keep hounding me by phone calls and bills to pay for the last treatment. I feel I should be reimbursed for all of the treatments due to dissatisfaction. However, I definitely should not have to pay for the last one. They need to LEAVE ME ALONE. I have explained this to them 4 times, but they do not stop hounding me.

We had a discussion with them, but they did not make it here. They do only lawn service, but I also wanted maintenance of the yard done. I wanted clean-ups and things like that which they couldn?t do. They were very reasonable, very courteous, and everything looked fine. They were willing to do the lawn regularly and also have another person come and mow the lawn for me. Everything was perfect with them, but I never signed up. Their service was horrible which made me realize why the price was low. Their price would be low at the start, but then they would keep on adding things saying such and such were wrong, and eventually we would end up paying more.

They are excellent. We have had the best lawn that we have had in about 10 years because of them. They are very competitively priced and even lesser than the previous company that we used.

Hired Scotts Lawn Service to apply flee & tick application to yard, grub control, weed control and fertilization. Scotts applied the first service in May. The second service they applied was on 6/19/10. I was home that day and the tec that applied the three above services came, quickly walked around the yard with a push fertilizer, wrote a ticket and left. He wasn't here for more than 10 minutes. I called Scotts and asked if this was standard and the person I spoke with told me yes. I told the customer service rep that I do not see how all applications could have been applied in one walk around the yard. She reminded me that if I still had problems with my yard they would come out and do a touch up for free. Two weeks later, I had weeds everywhere along the border of my yard and in the curb area. In addition, I had a strip of dead grass from where the tec walked with his spreader. In addition, my dog kept coming back into the house with flees (she is a little indoor dog who only uses the yard for the bathroom). I called Scotts and asked them to come back out again. She said they would be there in 48 hours. However a week later, they still hadn't come back, so I called again. This time they were out within three days. A week later I still have crab grass growing throughout my yard and weeds in my back yard. I called Scotts yesterday to cancel all remainder of services and asked for reimbursement of my funds. The customer service rep told me I should be hearing from a manager shortly. It has been 24 hours since my call and I still haven't heard from a manager. I do not recommend Scotts Lawn Service to anyone. It is over priced and the treatments they provide are ineffective.

Second year used. Second year with no weed control. Promises but nothing. Have to spray weeds myself. Probably will not use next year. Grass and shrubs look ok.
