Description of Work: Did not provide timely service. Weeds grew again due to the long time between treatments. They did not charge for the second treatment when I told them I would not pay.

Description of Work: They have been doing lawn care for me. They take care of your yard and have been doing a good job.

Description of Work: Hired Scotts to treat my lawn through the summer. My yard looks worse than ever. Where the grass has died or gone dormant the weeds are thriving where they never were, before Scotts began their summer series of treatments. The last time I saw the them here putting down fertilizer I found that they were only doing 2/3 of my yard. When I questioned the employee he said he didnt think I wanted the back 1/3 treated. When I began asking him about all of the weeds coming up in my yard he said they didnt treat for those types of weeds. My neighbor uses Scotts and their yard is worse than mine. Wish I never would have pre paid for the year for this service.

Description of Work: We have a plan where they come out monthly and do treatments to our lawn. I have had nothing but problems with them this year. There was supposedly a treatment done in April/May timeframe where they never put signs in our yard that they treated the lawn and there was nothing left on our porch either. I had no idea they were there other than the charge on my credit card. They constantly call me and hound me for additional treatment of things like, bugs, beatles, etc and even when I tell them no, I get 2-3 more people calling and asking me the same thing. We have had terrible weeds all year and they supposedly have been putting weed control on the grass but you cannot tell at all. They last treated the lawn on 8/17/12, and there was nothing in our packet telling me what they observed about our lawn and what chemicals were put on it and what the weather condition was, etc. We have the worst looking yard in the neighborhood and everyone is so surprised because Scott's Lawn is suppose to be the best. I have already called their office twice today and am waiting for the mgr to return my call. Unless they have something very compelling to make me stay, we are cancelling our service with them and at this point, I cannot say that I would recommend them. We are so very disappointed with them overall!

Description of Work: The service was ok. They called in the fall and I told them that I was no longer interested in their service. This spring came home to find a bill for 160 bucks. Called to tell them I was not paying, but they said I had a contract. I'm now asking to see the contract.

Description of Work: I have had a yearly contract with Trugreen since 2000 for fertilizing lawn and tree care, as well as having them do some triming of shrub and trees I prepay so get a small discount. The first few years all when well, although I thought they were a little pricy. In the last two years I have had a few concern, abut when I called (this last time it took me three phone calls) never got a a satfactory resultation to the issues. Everyone was very polite on the phone. Unfortunately they promised to follow-up with what they called a "free service call". All I received was a phone call saying they would "keep an eye on the issue, bark falling off the trunk of my redbud tree. When they were out to do the next service on the trees and shrubs. The next time they were out I recieved a note about some insects in my burning burshes but no menation of the issue I had called about. By the way I was home that day 6/8/2012. The front door was opened, so the service man had to have known I was home. No one rang the door bell.I think they need to stay with lawn care only. Description of Work: Terminix folks pushed hard to sell their services and then they would come in to apply the pesticides and we saw insects in the house despite that. When called, they would send a person alright. It is better to buy an off the shelf product and accomplish the same or better results yourself - which is what we did. The money feels better in my pocket.
