We're not here when they come. They seem to do a decent job. The lawn doesn't look great. We've got a lot of shade in our yard. So it's hard for the grass to grow. We will use them next year.

The service is very good. The workers are very good. It takes about fifteen minutes for one guy to complete the work. They do the work five times a years. I would recommend them to a friend. I have been using them for at least five years.

The service was fine. The worker was fine. They do not make specific appointment times. They call the day before they come out to let you know. I would tell a friend that we are very satisfied with their service.

They do it about four times a year. I think its all favorable. I like their service. It is a schedule thing.

My lawn looks great and even my neighbors complement how good it looks. I was using a different lawn service before Scott's and after changing to Scott's about 10 months ago my lawn looks 110% percent better. My grass is so thick and green it is unbelievable, I never expected to see a difference this soon! I would highly recommend them.

It's been fine and it was excellent. I have an annual program with them so they come out at certain frequencies to do certain things. They do the treatments as well as they can. The only issue I have with Trugreen is that if you don't have an annual or contract specified, they come out sometimes frequently and they give you treatments you probably don't want and it causes you money. They charge you every month.

We were told to have Oakland Nursery out for an estimate to replace the plants. We were told to pay the $75 fee and would be reimbursed. Oakland advised us to either give it a chance to come back or they would replace the dirt and flowers for about $400. We chose,the cheaper option as long as it came back. We have never received the $75 although we have called weekly and now daily. Last Wednesday we were told that the check had been cut and mailed. We never received it. Today they said it was mailed last Thursday.

Weeds that were starting to come back were dying within a day. When I hired Scotts, they had looked at my yard. It had not been serviced in over a year and was a mess when I bought the house 9/13. They explained to get the lawn healthy again it would not happen overnight but we would work together to get it there. I have been very pleased with the service so far. I like that the service agent leaves me notes on what he did and also what I need to do to sustain the program. At this point, I would recommend their lawn service to anyone else as I am highly satisfied. I think the pricing is fair as I checked out the local hardware stores to see what it would cost for me to do it myself and determined that it would: a) cost me more b) I would have to apply (and I really don't know what I am doing being a first time homeowner) c) the stuff I put on my lawn last fall did nothing to the tune of $40 for just my front yard.

Took them over a week to get started. kept saying they were coming but would not show. Had to call corporate office and talk to a manager. Did a nice job after they finally showed.

We have been using this service for 5 or 6 years. They are very professional and do a great job. I believe I have only called them back 1 time for some weeds that came back. They came and were gone and fixed problem. Their prices are good. I have scheduled services for the year and the cost is around $400.00. I receive Lawn Aeration and seedin, GrubEX Grub Preventative, Lawn Insect Control and Love Your Lawn (5) times. We get a discount of 5% for senior.

They work was satisfactory. I used them for about 20 years, but I had to quit using them abruptly due to a family illness. I also used them to spray my shrubs and trees.

I wouldn't recommend them. I thought it was a little too expensive just to come and sprinkle some stuff on your lawn every month.

I actually switched providers, I am just not happy with the results. I was paying a little more and expected a little more, I did not get that. They are very polite and very courteous, it just wasn't producing the results that I would like. They came out another time to do additional work that still didn't make any difference.

Charge more than agreed to. Will say whatever they can to continue service then will change at will. Results are poor at best. Advise all to stay away.

I have used Scott's in the past and they were great. This past year I have nothing but problems. My lawn almost looks worse than it did before they started to care for the lawn. I have just as many weeds, clover, crab grass and dandelions as before. For one visit, which took all of five minutes, glad they take their time to do a good job, the service guy was spreading weed killer and dumped a bunch on my front yard. Of course the grass died and I called and complained, but they did nothing. So who planted the new grass, I did. Plus I have spent more money on weed killer, since I have to spray for weeds every week. Then they always leave their little note for you which always says "I found weeds in your yard today" great, take care of them. I cancelled my service since I figured I am taking better care of my yard than they are. I don't know what has happened to Scott's in the past couple of years, but they have gone down hill big time. I used to have the best yard in the neighborhood, now I am embarrassed about my yard, and to think I am paying someone for this. Find another service.

I advise members to steer clear of Trugreen. We paid $380 on 5/13/13 and as of today (8/23/13) have received ONE application. That application was received because I called three times in July complaining that we had not received service. (I had spoken to a rep in June who assured me we were on the schedule; that "scheduled" application never happened). Since receiving our ONE application over the past 3 1/2 months, our lawn is still covered in weeds. I called back today, requesting service and was told that, based on our pre-payment, we had 3 applications "left" but that they would only have time to complete 2 and that any remaining applications could be applied towards next year. SERIOUSLY? They could not even manage to schedule the applications we had pre-paid for in MAY? Talk about horrible scheduling and management. And completely ineffective treatments, to boot. My husband called back to see if we could cancel our service and get a refund. He was told we could get a refund of $227.40 meaning that we had essentially paid $150 for one ineffective application. According to the rep he spoke with, they had record of our one application and that was the most they could refund us. He agreed to be done with them I called back, asking to confirm the amount of our refund, as I thought it was much too low. The rep told me our refund would be $252.67. She had no idea why this was a different number than the other rep had. The rep I spoke with then told me that her records showed that we had had THREE applications; one in May and two in July. These never happened! In sum: * Poor, ineffective treatments * Had to place multiple calls to insist on service we had already paid for (maybe they treated us so poorly because they already had our money b/c we pre-paid; we did not have problems receiving applications in 2012 when we paid after each service) * their customer service reps, while polite, have completely different records and are not on the same page. I told the last customer service rep I spoke with the summary of my dissatisfaction and that I was going to post a negative review on Angie's List. She said "okay." Clearly, ensuring customer satisfaction is not high on their list.

We switched to Scotts from TruLawn to see if service was better. It was for a while but our backyard is full of weeds and it's been a circus trying to get attention. In early July, we noticed more weeds in the backyard than we thought we should have with a service. We called for a "service treatment" and received that July 18 but it didn't seem to help. I called the call center to inquire since the service person left a service write-up but we were home at the time and didn't see anyone in the backyard, the dogs didn't bark, and no "stay off lawn" sign was posted. We agreed to wait for 2-3 weeks to see results but the service didn't seem to have any impact. After waiting, I called the service center to ask to have the manager visit and review the backyard in person with us. Apparently, the manager was out of the office for a week, so no one responded. I called again and learned of the absence and asked that someone other than the service person visit. I did receive two telephone messages from a manager but in calling back multiple times was never able to then speak with him or anyone to actually schedule an in-person review. Strangely, during my next to last phone call to Scotts, a service tech visited although we're not sure whether it was a follow up or a scheduled visit. I left the phone conversation asking, again, that someone visit to find that someone had been on the property from 11:13 to 11:15; the service tech notes indicated that "As of this year all programs with four or less treatments are not allowed free service calls. We are not on your lawn often enough to ensure proper weed control." Strange that the call center representative said we are entitled to service calls AND we've had at least one follow up service call. We do not understand why the service person visited to leave a note indicating we weren't entitled to follow up visits. Most disappointing was Scott's inability to get a person out to meet with us and review the problem. A manager did call twice and left messages but we've called probably 6-8 times to try to schedule an in-person review. Also disappointing is the apparent discrepancy between the service tech's notes and what we've actually experienced and been told by call center reps regarding follow up visits. It's been a hassle and we don't need hassles. We've now called and asked for a refund of treatments remaining under the package we purchased...the call center person said that refund should be made within the next couple of days. We'll see.

Scott's Lawn Service does an EXCELLENT job maintaining our lawn. They thoroughly explain the products they use, what is recommended and instruct you on what to do in between treatments. Their professionalism is OUTSTANDING! I am very satisfied with Scott's Lawn Service and will continue to use them for years to come.

It was okay. They came out and do the lawn but I don't think they did a good job. They were good and helpful. They have excellent customer service but the service itself was not the best because my whole lawn died. They responded to my questions quickly but the work was not done as good as supposed to be.

They show up when they show up. For all the yard work, given what we're spending, I would say it's not very good. I got into business with them because it's a well-known name and the yard looked pretty bad. I've had them work on it for the last 2 years. I'll think about it before I do it again with them because the yard is really different than anybody else's in the neighborhood. There a re a lot of bare spots that haven't been filled in. It's disappointing. I don't know if it's weather-related.

I have been using them for 12 years. They have always done a good job on fertilizing or whatever application they are using.

My husband is very happy with their service. They're always on time. They address any problems he has. They do good work. I know he shops for everything so I know they have to be the best price.

They've only done one service so far and it was too late to control the crabgrass and did nothing to control weeds. I have been out spraying for dandelions almost every day because they aren't coming again until June. I emailed them thru their site on 5-20-2013 and have had no response whatsoever. I emailed them again today with no response. Further, the advertisement/program I signed up for was to include a "free lawn analysis" which as of today they have not provided at all. They don't seem to care at all about their customers. Don't use them, they'll only frustrate you and your lawn will look very bad.

Trust has to be earned and this is a service that you never know what you are getting unless the results show the difference. There were issues about the applications; however, any application that was in question was redone. I have used Scott's Lawn products for a long time and my lawn is much improved and does show it. This dealer has earned my trust and I have seen a very good effort to insure that the customer is satisfied and/or understands what else needs to be done to achieve the expected results.

Called them to get pricing for mowing service. They don't provide mowing service. They will work to correct services listed on Angie's list.
