I've had them for about 10 years. I have never had any problems with them. I am happy with their service.

Couldn't be better. They are a local company, very responsive, explained the system well, and are prompt in answering. We set the alarm off a couple of times by accident and they did exactly as they said they would. We have a contract with them and have recommended them to friends.

Our relationship is over 20 years & counting. Cannot recall there ever being a single negative event.

Installation went well. No problems so far.

Love the local dispatchers who know the area and answer on the first ring. Don't love the fact that I could not get out of my 3 year contract after I moved 2 years into the contract. Make sure you write in a clause that says if you terminate ownership in the property then you can exit the contract. I was not happy.

Mika took his time to show me what is wrong, he also printed out for me how to bypass certain entry that I didn't know about. He was in depth.

Both technicians and salesperson were very knowledgeable and punctual. There were discussions around products and what would best fit our needs. They didn't try to sell us on the most expensive package. The installation was quick and painless. The technician provided other insight on how everything worked. They gladly accepted the Angie's List coupon and the monthly fee is very manageable. I will gladly recommend their company to anyone.

They were the ones who serviced the house before. I think they have a good product.

I have been very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and service provided by Sterling Protective Services. We used them to install a full system when we built a new home a few years ago and were very impressed, so when we sold that home and bought and renovated a 20-year old home we had them install a system once we moved in. They are a local company that is great to work with and provides very personalized customer service. The installation may be a little more expensive than som eother providers, but the monthly fee isvery reasonable and the service and attention to detail is well worth it! I gave them a "B" fpr price, but it is definitely worth it!

They were nice, explained everything well, reasonably priced, and helped me with my problems. I will use them again.

Great! Now that I am a few months into my contract, I can say I made the right decision. I interviewed several companies and almost gave up the idea of having a security system. However, this company stands by their product and service. For example, they told me upon installation there would be weekly tests on their end to make sure the communication was good between their office and my system. Once there was an issue, someone called immediately, and stepped me through trying to reset the system. Unlike the big name security companies, Sterling calls the police BEFORE trying to find out if the alarm is for real. THis is comforting, as I would not want an intruder taking off with all my goods while the office is trying to reach me on a cell phone. Finally, I like that you can pay a year of monthly fees in advance and receive one month free service. I would highly recommend giving a locally owned company such as this one a call...

They promised they would deliver the DVR fundtion that we wanted. They installed a DVR that did not do that. Since they broke their promise, they should have removed it at no charge. Instead they charged a $350 labor charge. If we did that with our customers, we would not have any. That is why I would never recommend or use this company again.

The installer was fast, efficient, pleasant and didn't make a mess. He was very thorough and patient while explaining the various procedures.

Sterling Protective Services gives a discount to veterans. I was very pleased with them. They were very good.

Ron (the salesperson) was on time for our initial appointment and was very informative, this was our first experience with an alarm system, and he was so very helpful and a nice person. He did a great job. He did not try to over sell, just gave us exactly what we needed. Jessee was the installer and he was also very helpful, fast and efficient, and very nice. He also gave us some helpful hints regarding security in general. He was on time, and did a great job. We couldn't ask for a better experience. I love how easy it is to set the alarm, we have a remote and it is great. Our alarm is working great and we now have peace of mind when we leave the house. I can't begin to explain how great it is to feel safe and not worry. I feel like we are in good hands with Sterling.

Ron was on time for initial consultation was very helpful with my questions and some (what thought) unusual circumstances. Eric performed the installation quickly and efficiently.

They certainly came and gave me an estimate when they said they would. They came in for the installation as they said they would. Everything really has gone fine. I would recommend them to others. The workers that actually came out to do the work were fine. The price was good.

(02/09/10) They have come out a couple of times. They came to give an estimate first and then for the paperwork. My husband said they were good and he is planning to have them install the system. My husband tried several people and he thought they are the best. They were quite quick and responsiveness. UPDATE (02/15/10) Fed up with previous monitoring company. Sterling was by far the best we interviewed.

It was a fair experience. I terminated their service because I didn't need it anymore. They tried to hold me to this contract for $30 a month; I had about six months to go and they said they were going to sue me. I said if they wanted to sue me for $180 that was fine, I just decided I wasn't going to play anymore. That was six months ago. It's a marginal company. I wouldn't use them again.
