Description of Work: Poseidon Pool Company has taken care of my swimming pool for 7 years. This spring, I called several months in advance to set a date have the pool opened for the season. I asked the secretary for an estimate and was told I would be called back with one. The secretary is pleasant but usually refers any substantive requests to one of the principals. No one called me back. I called again closer to the appointment date and asked again, but they still didn't return my call. Finally, they called a day or two before the scheduled work. The estimate was several hundred dollars more than I had paid in 2010. When I discussed this with the owner he said that since the pool had not been opened since 2010 there was more algae to deal with and this accounted for part of the cost. He was unwilling to change the price. I thought it was too late by then to get someone else. On the day of the appointment the men arrived on time with the pump and hose and furnished a hose for watering garden plants. This smaller hose permitted me to recycle the old pool water by using it the garden, which I appreciated. The next day Jackie, the secretary called to see if the pool were empty – they were ready to send someone out to clean it. However, it takes longer using a garden hose and was not empty. I called the following morning to report that the pool was empty and ready to be cleaned. I also talked to the owner at the pool (and painted concrete also). He assured me it would not damage the walls or concrete. He said it was a fan style pressure washer, not a direct stream, and that it was the only way to get rid of algae. He said it would cost $1000 to clean it without the pressure washer. He said he would tell the crew supervisor my concern. They said someone would come out that day or the next to clean the pool, but no one came. When I called on the second day, they said the crew would come out the next day, Saturday, but, again, they didn't come. I called and was told they had forgotten! They finally came out on Monday –five days after the pool had been drained. To be fair, I had told Jackie when I called Friday afternoon after the first delay, that if they couldn't come out until Monday it would be okay. This was a mistake on my part. However, I was told they would come out Saturday.

Description of Work: Chip Jordan of Poseidon Pools provided maintenance for four summers for our pool. He was also engaged to paint the pool and did not prepare the walls properly for the paint. After he was "finished," there were streak marks, drip marks and air bubbles all around the pool, and the paint began chipping. When I pointed out the bad job that had been done, he said he would repaint, but that we would have to pay for the rental of an expensive piece of equipment which had to be brought from another state to blast the walls. When I asked him about the anodes attached to the walls of the (steel) pool. He didn't know what they were and I was concerned, since the pool was built in 1968, that they could contain some chemicals harmful to the children who visit us and swim in our pool. Chip apparently had insufficient knowledge of my pool and he removed them at my request. The result of this was that the rusting of the pool was accelerated disastrously and we were faced with a very expensive resurfacing job to correct the terrible job Poseidon had done.

Description of Work: We contracted with Poseidon Pools to build an inground swimming pool. They helped us with all permits and came out several times to go over each detail with us. Chip talked to us at length about what the schedule would be and answered any and all questions. He made sure we understood everything from start to finish. We decided on salt water in our pool so they made sure to order what was needed for that type of filer system.

Description of Work: Poseidon pools opened the pool, drained the water, then cleaned off flaking paint on the sides and repainted the entire pool. They also replaced the drain cover in the deep end of the pool.

Description of Work: Poseidon Pools built us a Lagoon style (very large) inground pool with dimensions of 22' X 34' X 40' , and it included the following equipment and accessories: cantilever edge, LED colored lights, Hayward H250 gas heater, Meyco winter safety cover, Turbo Twister water slide, deck mounted basketball hoop and 1,650 sf deck. This pool has been the main attraction in our neighborhood; we have received many compliments; and, my 5 children and their friends have thoroughly enjoyed the pool.

Description of Work: Poseidon Pools has been taking care of our pool maintenance needs for several years. They have done the opening, closing, and cleaning and maintaining from April until October.

Description of Work: THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO FIX A PROBLEM CAUSED BY ONE OF THEIR ASSOCIATES BEFORE WE BOUGHT THE HOUSE. THEY PROMISED TO DO THIS WITHIN A FEW WEEKS (AUG. 2001). NEXT THEY KEPT US DANGLING BY NOT RETURNING OUR CALLS AND MAIL. THEIR INCOMPETENESS LEAVES US WITH A VERY NEGATIVE IMAGE OF POOL COMPANIES AND MORE THAN $1000 UNNECESSARY EXPENSES SO FAR.

Description of Work: THEY DID SOME WORK (INSTRUCTION ON USING AND MAINTAINING THE SWIM SPA) EN RE-STARTED THE SPA. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO REPLACE A BROKEN COVER.
