The plumbing under my kitchen sink was a mismatched collection of PVC, copper and steel pipes installed by the previous owner, (and me). A small leak was the rule instead of the exception. Leaks that made one or both of the sinks unusable happened far too often. Finally, I decided to call a pro. Old Hilliard Plumbing arrived at my home on time and replace all the pipes. The plumber had everything he needed in his truck. The job took about 45 minutes, the cleanup complete and no more leaks. The cost was reduced because of the Angie's List Discount.

I called when my garbage disposal stopped up. A neighbor who works for an area plumber had looked at my toilet and told me that it would have to be completely replaced so when I called for both, I was nervous. The receptionist, Connie, was great and scheduled me the next day. Abel came 5 minutes early and after 35 minutes fixed both. Turns out I only needed $12 in parts for the toilet (the neighbor, it turns out, was wrong) and taught me how to use a tool to fix my disposal. He was great, friendly, not condescending (although I was a bit embarrassed) and even gave me some tips for the future including the average lifespan of a disposal and what to look for. I couldn't be happier.

Abel was very competent and friendly. He installed and tested the new disposal in a timely manner. He was also very helpful in answering any questions that I had.

My parents used this company today. Called at 2:35 p.m. and the plumber was there by 3:00 p.m. and gone by 3:35 p.m. with the job completed complete with a discount for using Angie's List. They needed an access panel cut behind the tub to remove a tub spout that needed replacing but was soldered on. The plumber cut the panel in the closet behind the tub, removed the pipe and replaced it. The plumber who had 8 years with the company was polite, efficient and replaced the pipe quickly.

Positive - after first repairman left with no explanation & scheduling conflict due to scheduler being on vacation.

Good. Helpful in fixing a minor problem in toilet while here.

They did a great job and taught me how to remedy the situation myself, if it happens again. I will use them in the future.

An email was sent to OHP. A representative returned the email, with the information requested, including quote. A call was placed to set up an appointment. After homeowner confirmed valve was in place, and considered to be operational, OHP commenced the test. The test was completed very promptly. OHP also confirmed via telephone that the work was performed, and the results of the testing. This was a very pleasurable experience.

Excellent. Plumber arrived on time. Took a look at toilets and returned to truck and shop to obtain four gaskets to match the toilets. He installed one in each toilet and that took about 1/2 hour.

I was not there when work was done, but they had cleaned up so well that the tenant did not even think they had been there. They were very courteous and responsive when I phoned.

We called to set up an appointment for an estimate which was canceled and rescheduled due to an emergency. The representative came out and gave the estimate and was apologetic for having to reschedule. However, well over a month has gone by and we never received the estimate. The representative did call and say that he was sorry it was taking so long to get the estimate out, but a few more weeks have gone by with no estimate.

Great experience! I called and they got someone out the same day, for less $ than the estimate on the phone. The work was done in under a half hour. GREAT!!!

Connie was extremely flexible in scheduling our appointment. Abel and Josh called and arranged a time that was convenient for all of us. Abel and Josh did a great job installing the sink and faucet. They explained that our sump pump was dry and recommended waiting until spring when we could fill it with water to see if we had any problems before replacing it. Abel was able to unclog the bathroom sink in a matter of minutes, no new plumbing required! We've have used Old Hilliard Plumbing in the past and will continue to use them and recommend them to our friends.

I called Old Hilliard Plumbing and Tom was able to schedule an appointment within 2 days. Abel came out to do the work. He was 5 minutes early. He was very friendly, finished the job within a half hour, and even took our old gross towel that we used to clean up the water mess with him. He happily gave me the Angie's List discount and was on his way. Great company! I will definitely use them again.

The water from my kitchen sink was backing into my bathtub, which was then draining slowly. After checking the outside drains, Abel determined the problem was only inside the house and snaked the drain, breaking up the clog and bringing out bits of hair. He gave me suggestions for keeping the pipes clear and was very helpful.

I have never had any problems with them and I have used them for years. They are a local, small company, but very competent. You feel as though you are dealing with a friend.

The plumber did a good job, and explained any problems that came up. The old faucets were difficult to extract, so it took him a long time to finish. He chipped one lavatory in removing it, but patched it adequately with caulk. I don't have a basis for comparison, but this seemed a little pricey. Since they work by the hour, we didn't have a good estimate of cost in advance.

Called and spoke with Connie who was very professional and helpful. The employee who came out (unsure of name) performed the job to the satisfaction of the occupant of the apartment. The only strange thing is that it apparently took the employee an hour and a half to install the faucet. This seems like an extraordinary amount of time. It is notable that even at $135, Old Hilliard was still cheaper than the 3 other companies I received quotes from.

My husband said "plumber was extremely personable";took care of all questions, etc.

Our sump pump malfunctioned during the night. In the morning, we called several plumbing companies, and the best price quote came from Old Hilliard Plumbing Inc, and they were at my house in less than 1 1/2 hours. The technician was very courteous and had the pump replaced within 30 minutes. He also cleaned debris out of the sump pump well.

Repair was done on 9/18/06. Appointment was scheduled in a timely fashion. Mr. Abel could to get to us sooner than scheduled, calling before he came to make sure it was convenient. He was very courteous and began work promptly and professionally. He did an excellent job. He was here 1.5 hours. We received a Senior Rate. We will definitely use Old Hilliard Plumbing again.

Abel and Josh showed up right on time, were neat in appearance, and went right to work. I am very happy with the quality of the job. They aren't the cheapest plumbers in town, but I think they are a good value. I would definitely use them again.

I am very pleased with this company. Abel was on time, courteous, worked quickly, and answered all my questions. After repairing the leak, he showed me how the new drain could be opened for cleaning. He looked at my water heater (it was OK) and suggested ways to clean my soaking tub after a period of not using it. He offered to vacuum up the dust left from cutting the access panel. I will use them again for future plumbing needs.

Able was very helpful and great to work with. He was neat, professional, and I will definitely have him back, as we have more projects ahead of us.
