OLD HILLIARD PLUMBING

I had a small leak in the drain of one of our bathroom sinks that I didn't know how to fix. We have used Old Hilliard Plumbing in the past and always been satisfied so Ii called them again. They had an opening between other appointments right then and were at my home within 20 minutes of me calling. Abel found the source of the leak quickly and fixed it. He also showed me how to look for a similar leak in case I would need to in the future. He also helped me clean out a slow bathtub drain an dshowed me how to access it to clean it in the future. He offeredsome suggestions for some caulking concerns that I had. Because he was here only a short time and because I use Angie's list , he did not charge me a full service call. He was very polite and helpful.

I've used Old Hilliard Plumbing three or four times now, fixing various things and even replacing a 50 year old water heater. Every time they've been out, they have been very professional, and they're prices are very reasonable. I will continue to use them again.

Everything was done well and quickly. The sump pump is working better and quieter than it ever has. We'll definitely use them again!

I really had a good experience with them. I had a problem with my dishwasher. But it was more complicated. They were so honest about telling you what the problem was, actually it was a electrical problem. I was to have an electrician fix it first. They did not charge me for that first visit. Even though he was here and had done some preliminary work, they just waited until they came back and fixed the actual line. I really appreciated their honesty. They could have charged me for that visit instead they said that they will take care of it when they finished the job. I will be using them again.

The associate who came was on time and courteous. All their reviews seemed good, which is why I called them. I'm sure they would have done a great job, but out of 3 estimates, this was by far the highest. I was quoted between $700-750 for 2 guys to do the work. Another company quoted me $200-300 for 1 guy (A-rated company). I ended up going with another A-rated company that charged me $185. My experience with these guys was fine, but since I can only rate them on the estimate and the little bit of time I spent with them, the high estimate is driving my rating for them.

He comes out right away. He is very responsive. We feel really good about his advice.

The guy they sent was great (as are all the guys). He was prompt, professional and friendly. He changed a joint or something and was out of there in a flash. He left no mess and it's worked beautifully ever since.

Unfortunately they are not scheduling new service calls for at least a week. Apparently they are fully booked until then. I'll have to look elsewhere.

Hilliard Plumbing is my go-to company. I will have them install 2 toilets when I tile my bathroom floor. They are very reasonably priced as well.

Abel and (Sean?) were on time and very professional. The work was done very quickly and was leak tested. Perfect....could not be happier. With our new sink instal next month, I am planning to contact this company again.

Our experience with Old Hilliard Plumbing was excellent from beginning to end. They made extensive efforts to fit us into their schedule which was appreciated as we had just moved into our new home. While I don't have much to compare with, I found the pricing to be very fair for the work performed (we also happily received a 10% discount on labor for mentioning Angie's List). As long as this company is around, I am comfortable in saying they will receive all of our plumbing business in the future. The office staff was friendly and responsive and our plumber was clean cut, courteous, and obviously quite good at his profession.

Called Old Hilliard plumbing on a Monday and scheduled someone for Friday to remove an old tub/shower valve and install a new one. Plumber arrived promptly at 8am (Sorry can't remember his name) assessed the job to be done and started working. The plumber had a tough job as the shower valve was in a very tight space with electrical wiring within inches of the valve. The project took about 1.5 hours and I was only billed for 1.5 hours, not two, so I was very pleased with that. The plumber was very knowledgeable, professional and even cleaned up after himself. What more can you ask for? Overall, I am very pleased with the completed job. The new tub/shower trim looks and works great. I would recommend and use Old Hilliard plumbing in again.

I called the emergency and although they were very busy that morning, once I explained the circumstances, they were very responsive and managed to send someone within two hours. Problem was resolved very quickly. I had used them a few years back and the service was excellent each time.

We had been experiencing low water pressure in our house since we bought it in August. We had two plumbers come out to assess the problem. The first plumber said we would need to replace our service line from the street at a cost of $3,000 to $4,000. Tom from Old Hilliard saw the galvanized water pipes in the basement and said that they were most likely the cause of the problem. We had other plumbing issues in the basement that could be fixed at the same time, such as leaky, corroded valves, so we decided to have Old Hilliard do the work in the basement, and hoped it would indeed fix our pressure issues. Despite having to come out several times because of problems with shutting off our service valve in the street, Old Hilliard finished the job promptly and at the estimated cost. The main plumber on the job demonstrated dedication to getting the work done properly. He was very professional and friendly. After the work was done, I tested out the pressure in our shower. The water shot out of the shower head, unlike the soft drizzle we were used to. I turned on two other faucets at the same time and the shower pressure was still excellent. We previously could not turn on one faucet without the shower coming to a dribble. Old Hilliard saved us a lot of money by properly assessing the problem, doing the work at a very reasonable cost, and fixing a few other issues at the same time. I would recommend them for any job.

I am remodeling a bathroom down to the studs, doing most of the work myself, but I wanted a pro for the plumbing. Tom from Old Hilliard came out to do the estimate and told me what I should do to prepare the room for the plumbing work. He came out a second time when I changed my plans a bit. I greatly appreciated Tom working with me in advance so that I could get everything ready myself and only pay the plumbers to do plumbing work. Everyone from Old Hilliard who worked on this project was very professional. They met all of our specifications and did excellent work. They scheduled and completed the work promptly. I felt comfortable enough with the plumbers that I gave them a key to our house so they could come back while I was at work. I made a few changes to the original plan and they still got it done with minimal added cost and time. I was very happy with the estimate and they stuck to it. I highly recommend Old Hilliard Plumbing for any job.

All of the work was done as described above in a neat and timely manner. Abel took the time to explain his assessment of the problem and his plan of action. I would not hesitate in using this company for any plumbing issues in the future.

The employees I dealt with were professional. All work was performed to my expectations, and the plumber was prompt and friendly. He answered the many questions I had to my satisfaction. Even the lady who works in the office was great...I was rather upset when I made the appointment (due to another company's shoddy work) and she was friendly and calming. This did make all the difference to me in setting up the service call. Just as an FYI to anyone looking to have kitchen or bathroom remodeling: check under your sinks for shut-off valves! My house was built in the early 1980's and none of the sinks had these (these are now needed to be up to code, but back then apparently not). It creates a big problem if the whole house is without water for more than a day while work is done in the kitchen or bathrooms. Get shut-off valves ahead of time!

Old Hilliard Plumbing was able to schedule my appointment within two days of my initial call. Abel arrived exactly at the 8am appoinment time. He worked quickly and efficiently to remove hair debris that was clogging the tub drain, replaced a showerhead (owner purchased) and repaired bathroom faucet handles (in approximately 35 minutes total time). He left the bathroom tub and sink area very clean after completing the job. Abel was courteous and professional throughout the appointment. This was the best experience that I have ever had with a plumber or plumbing company in Columbus. I should have called them years ago.

Went well, the plumber was able to repair the faucet with no parts needed.

excellent work done very quickly and professionally. I will be using this company again in the near future to give myself some peace of mind regarding my main stop valve (as soon as the H2O company finds the outside shutoff valve!).

Abel took the toilet off and discovered the sub-floor had rotted away. He recommended a handyman who could remove and replace the rotted wood. The handyman came later that day and stripped off the linoleum, luan, and sub-flooring. Abel was correct, it was very damaged and needed to be replaced. The handyman bought the flooring material and suggested I could pick out a small linoleum piece of my choice at any home repair store. I bought the linoleum and scheduled the handyman to return. He replaced the rotted wood, glued down the new linoleum, and replaced the wood trim work around the floor. He charged $285.77 for parts and labor. Abel came back after that was done and replaced the seal on my toilet and re-installed it with new bolts because the old ones had rusted away. He also fixed a downstairs toilet that wouldn't stop running due to a worn rubber seal in the tank. Abel and the handyman were both very professional, polite, pleasant, and cleaned up after themselves. I plan to have Abel return in future and replace the seal on another toilet before it leaks, because both seals were the same age.

This company is excellent as always. We've used them many times. I called the Monday after a holiday, which meant they were getting a million calls. We agreed that this was not an "emergency" repair since we had another toilet in the home, and they stated they could come mid-week. Then a few hours later, they called saying they could make it out that day if I were available, which worked out great. Fixed toilet in about 30 minutes.

Abel was our plumber. He was very friendly and very knowlegable. He did excellent work. We had a connection under the sink that wasn't tight and he found another loose connection while he was fixing it. I tested before he left and it worked great. The water softener he installed was a different height than the last one so he had to weld some new copper pipe. Everything looked very nice when he was done. I mentioned Angie's List when I called and they gave me 10% off the labor rate ($81 an hour instead of $90).

Excellent job. First of all, Tom was very willing to work around our hectic schedule. He was helpful upon first coming to look at the job and had good suggestions. RJ did the work. Very nice guy and excellent plumber. He also showed me how to turn on our gas street lamp. I found a very slight water leak a couple of weeks later. I called and RJ came back within an hour and fixed it. They used quality products and materials and did things right. I would highly recommend them.

Bought a foreclosed home that had been winterized and needed a plumber there when the water was turned back on. Abel was very thorough and professional. Arrived on time and checked my gas fireplace vent and gas stove out while we waited for the water company to arrive. I also give kudo's to the office staff too. She took my information and scheduled at my convenience and even checked with me the day before to confirm the appointment time and to verify that I had the heat on in the house which would help to locate the leaks.
