Chuck built a beautiful wood pergola for our home several years back and it still looks as good and as solid as the day he built it. Now, we've called him back to work on other woodworking projects around our home. We've come to appreciate the quality craftsmanship that Chuck puts into all of his work--craftsmanship that stands the test of time. We appreciate his attention to detail, hard work ethic, and insistence on making sure every job is done right no matter how big or small. Chuck is a premier woodcraftsman and we highly recommend him for any woodworking projects.

I have to say, the workmanship of the piece that was custom made is great and the follow up was also good. However, when he arrived for delivery, he came alone with a dolly. Due to the weight of the cabinet and the dolly he used, it dented the wood flooring. I brought this to the attention of Chuck O'Bryan who said he took precaution in making sure it wouldn't happen. He made it seem like it was my fault for not having proper back up protection. As a customer, I paid what was owed and I feel like he should have done more to protect my home. With the weight of the Armoire, I felt he could have used an additional mover. After discussing it with him, it was my understanding that that his position is he is not responsible for the damages. The manufacturer, Somerset Hardwood Flooring, advised me that if the damaged boards were sanded and seal coated; the area of repair would be evident. The manufacturer suggested that all boards damaged by the dolly be removed and replaced with new ones.

My experience went very well. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his field. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of service. I would recommend this company to others.

I wasn't in a hurry so he took measurements in the summer, started work in his shop the end of summer then installed it all the end of September. It looks great! When people see it for the 1st time they say "WOW!" Chuck did a wonderful job and I would use him again.

i contacted several companies/individuals inquiring about custom building two hope chests/toy boxes for my Granddaughters. After meeting with several people and reviewing their work, I chose Chuck for the job. I am an extremely picky person when it comes to having people perform work for me and well when it comes to my precious Granddaughters I go just a little overboard for them! :) as most of us Gramps tend to do. I could not be more pleased with Chuck and his fine work. He is an extremely gifted craftsman. He was right on with every thing he presented about the project. My whole family was very pleased with his fine work. I will definitely use him again and in fact, several family members have expressed interest in having chest made by him!

The construction, details, and stained finish are all top notch. From designing to completed was only a few weeks. We are very satisfied.

He showed up when he said that he was going to be here. I would not hesitate hiring him.

Chuck came promptly, gave us an estimate that we accepted, and then made careful measurements and gave us an accepted date of completion. From that point on, all the work of construction and painting was done in his workshop. He elected to construct each of the two units in the form of four boxes--one on top of the window, one below it, and two alongside it. Once all eight boxes were fully constructed and painted to our order, on installation day (Feb. 23) he brought all each boxes plus two base frames to our house for assembly. The fit was perfect on each side and the overall appearance is just what we wanted. The construction and painted finish are both excellent. Dealing with Chuck was a pleasure from start to finish. We could not have asked for a more agreeable, dependable, or capable workman

We decided to go a different direction, I found some handles that would work. He's always very professional, he gets back to you right away and he's very helpful. He was trying to give me catalogs of other handles that would work before he would even have to replace the front. He has great follow through, I have nothing bad to say about him at all.

Great! The finished cabinets and bookcases match the style of our house and Chuck did such a good job matching the existing crown molding that they look like they have been a part of the house for decades. He build the cabinets and bookcases at his workshop and only took two days at our house for the final assembly. He was very careful of the finished walls around the project and left no damage on the walls. He had a number of design suggestions for us that resulted in a finished product we are very proud of. The project took about 2 months longer than originally expected but that was only because we told Chuck we were not in a hurry and he was apologetic and explained the delays. We are definitely going to have him do more work around our house.

He does extremely professional work and we're thrilled with the three products he built for us. They couldn't be better. He's a gifted cabinet maker and his price was similar to the other quotes we received. He first told us it would take about six months but he wanted a 61% deposit before he started the work which I wasn't too happy with. We sent him the money but we didn't hear anything from him for awhile. We called him six weeks later because we were wondering about the status of the job. He told us he could get two pieces to us before Christmas and had all three to us by Jan. 7th. We were going to have him make a desk extension and a bookcase for the den, but he never did get back to me with the estimate for the additional work. He came out with the contract and had the prices on it, even though he never called me with the estimate. The cost was extremely high and I was not going to pay that much. However, he is a good craftsman and I would recommend him to others.

He seems to have an attitude, and has given all sorts of excuses why he has not completed the work. We hadn't heard anything from him. He is slow in responding and nonchalant in his approach to finishing.

Quality of work is excellent, very professional service. Mr. O'Bryan had great follow through with design meeting with met my decorator a few times and phone calls. Mr. O'Bryan was clean, neat in his work and always asked what would work best for me regarding day time & needs. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

I contacted 4 companies. Two didn't return my calls. One other came, but the price was about $2500 more than Chuck's estimate. Chuck said from the beginning that he would be working on another job for a couple of months, so while there was a delay in getting the work done, he told me so up front. Chuck was very reliable and conscientious. He coordinated the project with my electrician and the company that was creating and installing my media system. Chuck took great care to prevent scratching floors or walls with the cabinetry and asked for my input through the entire process. The cabinets are phenomenal!! A better job could not have been done! I would recommend Chuck's work to anyone and in fact, my media company liked the work so much they asked about using him for jobs in the future as well. Chuck stayed true to his estimate, and I have a beautiful new set of built-ins! I am extremely happy with the job. I whole-heartedly recommend Chuck without reservations!

CHUCK DID AN EXCELLENT JOB FOR US ON JULY 12, 2005. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, RELIABLE, AND HIS WORK WAS TOP NOTCH. HE MADE THE WHOLE PROCESS VERY EASY. THE LARGE PANTRY BUILT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED AND THE QUALITY WAS GREAT. HIS PRICES SEEMED REASONABLE TOO. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE CHUCK AGAIN ON ANY OF OUR NEXT PROJECTS.

THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY CHUCK O'BRYAN IS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. HE IS VERY RECEPTIVE TO WHAT THE CONSUMER WANTS. THIS WAS KIND OF A CREATIVE PROJECT IN THAT I DID NOT KNOW WHAT SIZE MOLDING WAS NEEDED ON BOTH THE FLOOR. THERE WAS MOLDING THERE ALREADY BUT WE NEEDED SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE DECORATIVE TO GIVE IT A MORE EXPENSIVE OR QUALITY WORK. CHUCK DID COME UP WITH THAT. HE HAND MADE ALL OF THE MOLDING. ALSO ON THE CABINETRY I HAD BEEN TOLD BY A COUPLE OTHER CONTRACTORS THAT IT COULDN'T BE DONE AND ANOTHER ONE SAID THAT THEY WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE STAIN WOULD MATCH AND THE STAIN LOOKS GREAT. ALSO IN REGARDS TO THE ISLAND I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO WITH THAT AND CHUCK HANDLED IT ALSO.

CHUCK DOES BEAUTIFUL WORK. HE WAS ON TIME FOR THE ESTIMATE, ON TIME FOR THE INSTALLATION AND VERY FRIENDLY. IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE; I WOULD USE HIM AGAIN. HIS FEES ARE REASONABLE, AND HE DOES HIS JOB WELL.

CHUCK IS NOT ONE OF THOSE 'HIT AND RUN' SUBS. HE DOES IT RIGHT. HE IS VERY RESPONSIBLE. WHEN HE FINDS SOMETHING UNEXPECTED HE BRINGS IT UP, HE DOES NOT COVER IT UP. IN ADDITION TO CABINETS, HE HELPED US WITH MANY FINISHING TOUCHES, SUCH AS MAKING CUSTOM WOOD THRESHOLDS. IT IS REALLY HARD TO FIND SOMEONE TO DO THESE SMALL BUT VERY ESSENTIAL THINGS. HE ALSO REPAIRED SOME FURNITURE. MY MOTHER IS NOT WELL AND HE WAS VERY SENSITIVE TO MAKING SURE WE COULD ALWAYS USE OUR KITCHEN SINCE WE CANNOT EAT OUT EASILY. WE HAVE USED [ANOTHER COMPANY] IN THE PAST BUT HAD A MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH CHUCK BOTH ON QUALITY AND PRICE.
