He came and gave us an estimate when scheduled. Gave us a fair price, showed up on time and got right to work digging out the pavers, leveling the ground with new sand and relaying and packing the pavers. It's refreshing to work with a professional who does excellent work and shows up on time.

Upon completion of the paver patio I noticed that the final step of brushing the sand into all the cracks was not completed properly. Mark showed up unexpectedly while I was having a party to supposedly complete this item and it wasn't a good time, so I asked if he could come back. He said he would and demanded that I pay him right then. So I did, trusting that he would come back like he said he would. I called him after that to find out when he would come back and he never responded. I also found out after having another contractor come in to fix some problems with the patio that Mark had spaced the pavers too far apart - the gaps in between the pavers should have been smaller than what he did. Also the pattern in the circle part of the patio wasn't done correctly. In addition, when I hired some landscapers to do some planting in the flower bed surrounding the patio, they found the cut pieces of paver bricks all through the flower bed. So instead of properly discarding the material, Mark had apparently just buried it in my flower bed. I obviously would not recommend this guy.

Mark Mullins was sub-contracted by Deck Builders Unlimited to come and do work on our patio and deck. Had it not been for Mark I don't think the work would be done yet. He not only finished the work for DBU, he did an exceptional job. The materials that he used were better than we expected and his attention to detail was outstanding. His communication with us was very good and we are grateful that he took part in our addition. I would definitely hire him again.
