Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians

Did not go at all. This does not look good for EcoPlumbers or Angie's List. After we submitted this report we heard from Eco Plumbers and they were very quick to solve this issue and make good on the 'big deal'.

I had been having trouble for the last several months trying to use my condo association and their recommended plumber to find my water shutoff. After weeks of frustration, I decided to go another direction. I called EcoPlumbers because I had used them last year and liked the work they did. The owner of the company called within an hour of my reporting the situation to his administrative assistant. He said likely someone would be able to come out in the next day or two. Not long after he and I finished talking, the same plumber I had last year called and said he could come out at 2:00 on the same day I was talking to him! I was so happy. He found the shutoff in the ceiling of my basement. (The former owner had sheet-rocked over it.) He cut a hole in the ceiling and installed a trap door so I could have access if an emergency ever arises. He also went ahead and set up my new ice maker. By 4:00 of the day I'd called, all the work was completed.

They were polite, on time, made sure everything was cleaned up. I could not of been more pleased with the results. I have changed my mind and would use this company again in the future for all my plumbing needs.

199.00 Toilet Replacement and Removal Deal! Great service! I called to schedule on Monday and they came out that Thursday. The gentleman who came was very polite and explained everything that he was doing. He even replaced a couple of things that were rotted and it was only 27 extra. Overall it was a great deal and great service. Were now using half the water per flush!

I got the dreaded email "Re:House" from my tenants in Columbus and the blood drained from my face... seems my American Standard Champion 4 Elongated Toilets I had fitted in my rental property were leaking AGAIN! Basically the orange O-Flaps on the valves had degraded after the second replacement in 4 years and water was constantly running into the bowl and therefore the valves were never shutting off (nice water bill for my tenants!). I immediately got onto Angie's List and saw an ANGIE'S BIG DEAL for a 5-step toilet tune up with The Eco Pumbers - and it seemed this was fate!! Being as I am residing now in the UK - I needed someone I could trust, and deal was awesome at 50% off!I bought the deal, emailed Aaron the owner and he got straight back to me in a matter or minutes (great as I didn't want to have to call at huge expense). I also got on the dog and bone to American Standard about their crappy-crappers and they told me these valves had been made obsolete and they sent me out two new ones in the mail (this was all too lucky to be true!).Not only did The Eco Plumbers do the tune up - but they installed the two replaced new valves for me too! I can't thank them enough for their service and will definitely recommend them to my friends!! Tenants v.happy + me v.happy = double happiness!

They were on time and he was polite. He fixed the problem and then he talked to me about everything. He encouraged me to call back if there were any problems. About 2 days later someone else called to find out about my experience with them.

They were very professional. The price was reasonable. The quality of the work done also was great.

I was very impressed with their quick service and professionalism. While doing the repairs that we had requested, Braun found that the sump pump wasn't working, so he had a new one delivered to the house and was able to install it after he had finished the first job. I was very happy to be able to take care of all of this during one service call, and glad that I didn't have to come home to a wet basement!

He was prompt, very professional, and used shoe covers (which I always greatly appreciate having young children). Although I was convinced a lot more work would be required, he deemed it unnecessary, which kept my total cost much lower.

We had a leaky toilet seal and some other problems with the toilet. They came out and resealed the toilet and replaced some other parts on the back of it. The did everything just right, and were very nice. They did great work, and no problems since then. They were very responsive and clean, and I'd definitely use them again. A good experience.

The new water heater was put in, the old one was removed. Warranty and directions as well as service on each item explained. The leaking toilet was fixed first, replacing most of bolts, seals and guts inside tank. The other 2 toilets followed suit. Clean up along the way. His service was methodical which we appreciate.

Braun was very efficient and professional. He made sure his work was completed and I was completely satisfied with the quality.

we didnt ask for an overly complex service but the service and intangibles were spot on. they were very responsive, very professional, and very prompt. eco plumbers will continue to get our first plumbing call.

They were neat, responsive and were willing to come back multiple times to complete the project in steps as carpenter and electrician did their work. Will definitely call again.

I am in the process of having a home back-up generator installed. When the technician form Columbia Gas arrived to install a new gas meter, he, as is the routine, tested the integrity of the gas lines in my residence and, to my surprise, found a major gas leak. He stated that he could not restore gas supply to the house until the leak(s) were corrected. Since this occurred several days before my family was arriving for the holiday weekend, I was rather panicked at the thought of not having heat or hot water! I immediately called Aaron Gaynor of EcoPlumbers, whom I have used several times in the past. I explained the predicament to Aaron, who calmly replied that he would have someone there the same day!!! His technician arrived a few hours later, found the leaks (probably caused by the jostling of the gas line when my furnace was replaced a few months earlier, causing the old seals...not the pipes....to break) and repaired all of them within a few hours. I am surprised that EcoPlumbers was not one of the "Best of 2011" contractors listed in the latest issue of the Angie's List publication. I am completely satisfied with EcoPlumbers professionalism, consideration, attitude and quality of workmanship. I will continue to utilize their services.

We are opening a new small business and needed a 20 gal. electric water heater changed to a 40 gal. gas water heater. I had phoned a few other companies and the response was extremely slow and in fact seemed to be uninterested in the project. I called EcoPlumbers on Dec. 20 fairly late in the evening. I received a call back within the hour from Arron who was very helpful and courteous regarding my request. He stated he would have someone there to look over the job the next day. On Dec. 21 Brawn (not sure of spelling) arrived at our building. Since it was so close to opening day for us and so close to Christmas I was quite frazzled. I had so much on my mind. Brawn politely introduced himself, placed his booties on over his shoes and asked to see the area. I showed him the area and left to continue the work I was doing. Shortly afterward he informed me that my request for the gas heater was indeed feasible and that they could install the next day. I was was quite pleased. On Dec. 22 Brawn showed up earlier than expected, stated another worker would be showing up later to assist, and went to work. Joe showed up later as stated and the two worked very well together. They both seemed to be very happy about performing their jobs and were very professional. They cleaned up and the job was completed much quicker than I anticipated. I would recommend in a heartbeat!! Very happy with the whole experience!

I called them in the morning and they came out later in the day. They gave me a window of time that the technician would arrive. Since the technician thought that he may be a few minutes late, he called to let me know...he did arrive on time. Technician was courteous, knowledgeable and did the job in short order.

We discovered that our sump pump had died and we were getting water in our finished basement. I called Eco Plumbers and got their service since it was about 9:45 in the evening. They called back within minutes. I advised that there may have been electrical involved since we were blowing fuses. He was nice enough to help me trouble shoot that over the phone before he came out. He advised he was pretty sure it was the pump and said he would be out within 30 minutes. He arrived promptly and I have to say he was the cleanest and most professional plumber I have ever encountered. He was fast, efficent and answered all of my questions patiently. I think the price was very reasonable - I had received quotes of 600.00 and up from other companies. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received.

On time, went well, good prompt service.

I was pleased with the service. Joe was a professional who gave me card when introducing himself and treated my house like it was his own. He took care with his equipment and the moving in and out of the water heaters. When I went down to review the area where my water heater is, you would never have known Joe had been there. The area was cleaner than when he started. I appreciated his great service level. This is the type of service I expect, but don't always see with service providers.

The plumber arrived on time.He drained my water heater and applied caulk to a bathroom shower faucet.He answered my many questions, was very professional and seemed to like what he was doing. I requested estimates for replacing and installing higher commodes. I received the estimates promptly by email.

Aaron of EcoPlumbers is very timely in returning telephone calls. Schedules service very quickly. Repair staff are professional, friendly and helpful--a nice and infrequent combination for service providers. Work is done quickly and efficiently. All staff are concerned for homeowners property, for example, wearing protective covering over shoes to protect carpets. The sump pump installed stopped working six months later, and EcoPlumbers came quickly to replace it with no complaint and without any additional charge. I would highly recommend EcoPlumbers for any home plumbing need.

I'll start out by saying the pumber who came out was great! He was friendly, courtesy, helpful, dilligent, and dedicated. He spent about 5 to 6 hours or so at my house over the course of two visits. He alwasys wore his shoe coverings and was very clean and neat while in my home. He has been doing plumbing I think he said for about 15 years so he had a good level of experience. He was nice and explained everything he was doing and where potential problems could be occuring. He stayed until the job was done and the drain was flowing freely, a couple of times it seems like it was draining to me, but he was listening and said it was still too slow of a drain for him, so he kept working to make sure it was draining freely. The customer service I will say in calling in to schedule was by far not the best. The wait was a couple of minutes the first time to schedule service, a few minutes the second time which was for a billing concern and the third time I had to call in for the same billing issue was about 10 minutes. The only thing the person could do was to schedule, they didn't know anything about cost of services, didn't seem to know much about the plumbing trade because when I described that the clothes washer and kitchen drain line was clogged the plumber who came out brought tools for just a small drain that was clogged. When I called the second time regarding the billing concern the rep seemed very cold and unsympathetic or empathic and didn't knowledge how long I'd been holding (approx 10 minutes). The billing question I had was that it was $240 for snaking out the drain, which seems high, but I haven't checked around, and I was there were going to be two charges becaue the first time the plumber came out he didn't bring a big enough snake so he had to come back a second. He wanted to take payment in full but I told him I would not due to the job wasn't done. He called his supervisor and said that he could take a partial payment of $99.99. I didn't like it but agreed to it because he said it would go toward the $240. The next time he came out he got the job done. When he billed me th ebill was about $170 which makes the total for snaking the drain, $270, not $240. So, instead of giving the plumber a hard time, I paid it but called back a couple of days later and asked about billing. I was told the owner, Aaron would call back in a couple of days which I was ok with. But he never called back. I called back a couple of weeks later got a similar cold response and long hold time and told the rep my concern wasn't a top priority but was important. The owner Aaron called back within 10 minutes and resolved the pricing issue immediately, he told me a check for the difference ($30) was going to issued immediately and sent out the following day. There was no haggeling or yelling or anything with Aaron, he let me explain, understood my concern and then resolved in exactly the way he should have. The plumber was excellent, the callcenter reps were unknowledgeable and uncaring, the owner was reasonable and quick to help solve my issue. I'm concerned with their billing process at least on my call and the lack of helpfulness of the callcenter reps so I probably won't use them again. 2/4/2012 - UPDATE: I would like to clarify they "I probably won't use the again," comment I make at the end of the page. The reason isn't due the plumber, the billing, it's simply because I like to work with one party the whole way through, I'm not a fan when working with companies that subcontract since the owner(s) don't have complete oversight of the contracted entity. I have upgraded report grade to reflect only price, billing and how I feel the Plumer for EcoPlumbers did.

Came home from Black Friday shopping at 3am to find the water tank leaking. I called about 9:45am and was told I would be called back within 15 minutes and that is what happened. I was told by the plumber they would be able to come that day between 11-2. He called back at 11 to say they would be there within 30 minutes and was. They showed up with a new hot water tank in hand ready to go and by 1pm they were all cleaned up and done. They were professional, courteous, timely, and tidy. I gave them a "B" on price as I think for a 6 year tank and 4 hours labor (2 hrs per man) is a bit much, but they were speady quick so I'm sure I am paying for a convenience factor. Overall, they were great and I would call them again.

The EcoPlumber experience was fantastic at every stage. Scheduling an appointment was so easy. I contacted them through their web site, and received a call very quickly. The person doing the scheduling gave me all of the needed information, including verifying that my preferred payment method would be acceptable. The person who came to the house (Braun) impressed my husband with his professionalism, which is definitely not easy and which none of the plumbers we have used previously have ever done. Braun was very clear about what needed to be done. His expertise was evident, and his workmanship was excellent. Braun even gave my husband some ideas about how we could re-do our small bathroom that we hadn't considered before. Scheduling and billing was all done electronically using an iPad. I received a copy of the invoice marked "paid" via email. I do everything online or on my iPhone, so I appreciated these capabilities a lot. These guys have really figured out how to do great service. We will definitely use them again.
