 + -1 moreWe had recurring problems of water backing up into the kitchen and bathroom once water had entered the main drain from multiple water sources in the house, for example flushing the toilet soon after someone took a shower. We hired a large company plumber years ago to see what was wrong with our system. After they had snaked the drain, they found nothing wrong and assumed that we had a collapsed pipe or tree roots growing in the drain and that we may need to have the kitchen and part of the backyard excavated and dug up to repair the main drain, which would cost thousands of dollars. Since there seemed to be no other solution, we kept putting the procedure off and tried to keep the drain clear ourselves before spending a lot of money to fix the problem. Once I contacted Eco Plumbers after finally getting sick of our plumbing issues, the tech assured me that they would do everything they could to open the drain first and then explore the possibilities of excavation if needed. The tech, Chris, called me when he was on his way and was able to give me a time frame of his arrival. He arrived within the time frame given, was very nice and listened in detail to my explanation of our plumbing problems. While snaking the drain, Chris discovered a 100-foot snake that someone had previously used to snake the drain that had broken off. Apparently, this was the cause of our plumbing issues as it had coiled around itself and was causing the backup of water and anything else that entered the drain. After removing it, Chris stayed to make sure the system was clear and offered to clean up after himself. I was so relieved that he had found the problem and all it took was a simple snake of the drain, not an expensive excavation of our property. Chris assured me that I would be able to call him in the future if we experienced any more problems and he was happy to help us. I was ecstatic that our plumbing issue went from a potential several thousand dollar job to a 1 1/2 hour job of removing a snake from our drain. I wish I had known the actual cause of our plumbing problems sooner but am so happy that Chris was able to help us out and restore our plumping to proper condition.
Description of Work: Snaked the main drain and pulled out 100 foot snake that had previously broken off in the drain which was clogging and backing up the system.

Scheduled repair the following day. They called to say they could come earlier and had the job done quickly. The plumbers are personable, respectful of your time and property and explain what they are doing and why. Various repair options were discussed. We have used them in the past and would use them again.

Description of Work: The very professional young plumber did a camera shot of my sanitary sewer line after 2-3 very small tree roots were clipped. The problem came as he was taking the HUGE new machine up the stairs from my basement. It slipped and the front of my wood steps were splintered off. After I took a picture and I handed him sandpaper, he sanded and appologized. The steps are still splintering and I have not had the chance to paint them yet.

 + -1 moreI purchased the discounted toilet tuneup advertised on Angies list for $59. I had a toilet that flushed but the handle mechanism felt like it was failing. When I called to make the appointment, I was greeted by a very polite female who took all my information and then said she would forward it to Ecoplumbers who would call to schedule an appointment. Ecoplumbers called back within about 2 hours and scheduled a day that was convenient for me and gave me a 3 hour window (2:00 - 5:00 PM) and promised a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Before the appointment I discovered that a bolt anchoring the toilet had rusted through and broken off. On the day of the appointment I received a call from Chris at 12:50 telling me he was ahead of schedule and could come early if I preferred. I agreed and met Chris at my home 30 minutes later. Chris introduced himself at the front door, put on booties over his shoes and followed me to the bathroom. I showed him the rusted bolt and he informed he could replace it, but he would need to get a cost as this was not included in the tune-up offer. He went to his truck and returned a few minutes later with a discounted price of $205.00 itemized on a tablet device. I agreed to the price and he went to work. He performed the tune-up, fixed the handle mechanism, completely removed the toilet, replaced the wax ring, installed new bolts and cleaned up the area. He showed me the finished work, then created an invoice, took my credit card payment and e-mailed an invoice from the tablet device. The whole transaction took about an hour and the quality of the workmanship appears flawless.Chris was polite and professional and is an excellent salesman for their service. The $200 seems a tad pricey for less than an hour's work, but the end result appears very good. Based on the quality of work, and promptness and professionalism of the staff and technician, I will call them again if the need arises.

EXCELLENT JOB on the Garbage Disposal! It's so nice to have a brand new garbage disposal. Before the garbage disposal, they checked my loose toilet handle, made adjustments to the handle inside the toilet itself and all seemed to be working properly. They fixed this for no addl. fee. 10/26/12 - Later in the day after the toilet adjustment, the same toilet decided to back-up and almost overflowed. I called Eco Plumbers to see if I could have someone come and fix it asap. I had to leave a message due to after hours but they told me someone would call me that night. Sure enough, I received a call about :15 later. Meanwhile, I also received a call back from Braun Bocook, Owner/Mgr., to see what I needed assistance with and he told me not to worry, that they'd have someone come by Sat. am & gave me the phone # to call for the "on-call Plumber" for that wkd. It happened to be Chris Stinson(same plumber who installed Garbage Disposal) and he called me while I was still on the phone with Braun Bocook. Wow...talk about efficiency! Did I mention that Braun Bocook called me during a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner night? He actually took time from that event to call me to see what my plumber needs were. I couldn't believe it and felt badly interrupting such a festive life event. I thanked him and told him that I wanted to make sure that nobody from Eco Plumbers missed the wedding the next day due to my toilet fix. Meanwhile, Chris Stinson called me on both phones, I called Chris back and he came the next morning at 8am, fixed the backed-up toilet, cleaned the floor, and there was no extra fee. Eco Plumbers ROCKS!!!!!

They gave us great advice on how to keep our pipes clear and how to use the disposal properly. EcoPlumbers are definitely our plumbers from now on.

 + -1 moreThe 3-hour window was noon to 3 and Braun got to the house right at noon (which was great for me). I reviewed the job with him, and he went to work. What more can I say? He was professional, certainly knew what he was doing, and also took a look at some other faucets I was having pressure issues with. He easily took care of those for me, too. I was very impressed with Braun, his work, and, above all, his professionalism. I forgot to tell him I got the company name from Angie's List, but he had already given me a 15% discount on labor. I am very happy that I know have a plumbing contractor that I know i can depend on in the future. Thanks! And, Roslyn, thank you for all of your coordination....even on the weekend!
Description of Work: First, the price above is for labor. They also purchased new plumbing hardware (faucets, shower head, etc.) for me, and saved me $155 in the process on the hardware! I had clogging in the bathroom sink and shower faucets, and decided to replace them at the same time as having the issue repaired. Braun was great, as was Roslyn in the office. They were very helpful and accommodating. It wasn't easy switching out the sink faucet because the sink is a pedestal and the bathroom small, but Braun got the job done.

 + 0 moreAbout a year ago, my sewer main line backed up, resulting in an overflow into the house. Not wanting a repeat if at all possible, I purchased the main line cleaning and cameral inspection from Eco Plumbers to make sure the main line was still clear from last year's cleaning. I called Eco Plumbers and was able to schedule a convenient time two days out. On the scheduled day of service, I received - as I was told I would during the initial scheduling - a call from the tech, Chris, 30 minutes prior to his arrival. Right on time, Chris arrived and after getting organized, began the main line cleaning. Chris was very personable, professional and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer many questions as he worked. Once cleaned out, Chris sent in the camera and gave me the good news that everything looked as it should. This was important, and much appreciated, considering the company that did the same thing to my line last year said that I needed to replace the whole line - the cost being approximately $5,000. Chris and I discussed this, and he was extremely professional, not saying anything negative about the other company, just saying that the way my current situation is, a replacement wouldn't be necessary. That kind of honesty is refreshing and is what makes for repeat customers. The whole job didn't take long at all - 45 minutes to an hour - and Chris was on his way. From scheduling to job completion, Eco Plumbers was great to work with. I will definitely consider them for my future plumbing needs.

 + -1 moreSince this wasn't an emergency, it was easy to schedule a date. The plumber called me a few hours before he was scheduled and confirmed what I needed done. He then called me about half an hour before he planned on arriving at our house. Two plumbers arrived at the beginning of the scheduled window. We talked about what needed to be done and they looked at the plumbing. They wrote up an estimate for the work. The cost for installing a faucet seemed really high and I mentioned that to the plumber. He said it was standard rate. Since they were here and the work needed done, I said to go ahead. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. After the work was done, they again went over the invoice and I paid the bill. After they had left I noticed that the vanity, where they installed the faucet, was not level. I know this isn't part of plumbing but it seems that is something that would have been taken care of, or that would have been mentioned to me.
Description of Work: Replaced cut-off valve to the hot water line in the bathroom. Installed faucet, which I supplied along with the water supply lines, in vanity in bathroom. Put packing in main line value.

 + 0 moreI lost the hot water in my house on the weekend. The manufacturer's website for my water heater listed the eco plumbers as one of the recommended groups for servicing their water heaters. When I called on a Saturday I got a dispatcher who was very courteous. She had the plumber call me right away. I had the plumber come on Monday morning and he was prompt and professional. He fixed the problem in about an hour. I lost the hot water 3 days later and I called at 8:15 in the morning and they were at my house by 12:30 and did not charge me for the service. They also fixed an broken monitor and educated me about the maintenance of the tankless water heater. Overall, their service and professionalism was excellent.

I got the company's answering service, which is what I expected since I called another comapy first, and they said they'd have someone call me sometime Monday. I left my information with the lady and expected a call Monday. Much to my surprise, shortly after a friendly lady called back and said that they could have someone out within 2 hours. I was very happy to hear this, as I was expecting someone within 24 hours. Their plumber, Joe, arrived within 40 mins. He was as friendly as anyone could be. He was very neat and tidy--he even wore covers on his shoes, which wasn't even needed. He checked to make sure there wasn't an issue with the pipes in the basement and then snaked the clogged drain. He noticed that there was a leak in another pipe and fixed it right away. He was in and gone within an hour.They use ipads for all their billing so it's fast and easy. I would tell anyone to call this company first if they need plumbing help. They really couldn't have been any faster!

 + 0 moreI must say Mr. Braun Bocook was the most professional plumber I have ever met. He was neat, clean and knowledgeable. He assessed our old leaking water heater and deemed we needed a new one. He had one on his truck (no waiting) and installed it. Labor was about about 2hrs. since we had drained the old one ourselves. He did a marvelous job and was still neat and clean. We paid him and he left. I walked into the kitchen to find water pouring from the freeze side of our double wide refrigerator. We instantly call Mr. Bocook, who came right back to our house. He conceded when pressurizing to hot water tank it could have caused a seal to break. Then, he said he would cover the damage. (amazing). We had Sears come out on Monday to fix the refrigerator. The inlet valve had to be replaced, costing $324.03. I have not met a man in the service field with such integrity. There wasn't any discussion or hassle. I would recommend the company to anyone who wants professionally, great work, and true integrity.
