+ -1 moreWhen I had my toilet replaced, they front in somebody who didn't really know what they were doing and it was put in kind of crooked but they came back in right away and fixed it. Besides putting the toilet crooked, I thought they did excellent job. I think their price is reasonable. The quality depends on who they send.
Description of Work: The Eco Plumbers came and put a hot water heater in and did a really good job on that. And, I was having problems with my garbage disposal on my sink and they came and looked at it. I was going to have them replace it and then they got the screw turned enough so that it worked and they didn't charge me for that call. The last service I had with them was to replace my toilet with a low-flow toilet. They also put in a valve in the shower.

I wanted to commend them because we actually had an emergency, where they came out in a very short period of time to take care of it. There was another little thing that needed to be done to the toilet and he didn't charge for that, just he unclogging. We had already used him two times before this and will continue to use him.

+ -1 moreStart to finish - see the above. With the exception of the one hiccup, and Braun was quite gracious about fixing the cost problem, my experience was quite positive.
Description of Work: Braun came out and gave me a free estimate for several services. We decided only to have some work done on one of the bathrooms. There was some confusion about the cost (calling the 800 number gets any of a number of people who might answer, some of whom aren't quite as able to answer invoice questions as others, evidently), and when the crew showed up to do the job, the price was quite a bit higher than I was quoted over the phone. After a phone call, the price was corrected, the work was done, and it was done quickly and well. I would have recommended them even before this - very professional, very prompt. My only "negative" is the answering system - I don't like calling 800 numbers for local service. I want to talk to someone in my city. I gave them a 4 on price because the actual price that should have been charged would have been substantially higher than another quote we received for the same job.

I was a little disappointed that we were required to pay an up charge for an ADA toilet and an additional upcharge because ADA toilets from this manufacturer are oval. This case did not reveal anything about the company except its willingess to offer a "deal" that shouldn't have even been offered in a list of servcies at this price, much less as a means to introduce the company to me. a potential the customer. The problem came from a pretty poor "Big Deal" and an exorbitant price for it. I think the cause of the problem was with both ECO Plumbers and Angie's List. The next tine I see an interesting Big Deal, I will have to check it out pretty thoroughly. Thsi one hurt!
Description of Work: I purchased THREE offers of "$59 for a 5-Point Toilet Cleanup" Apparently, I completely misunderstood the offer for the deal. I believed that the Big Deal included replacing the flapper and other parts of the mechanism as needed for each toilet paid for. I believe this is a responsibility shared by ECO Plumbers and Angie’s List. The gentleman who came was very nice and dutifully performed the "tune-ups”. Also, I would have hoped that someone would have wondered why I was so free with my money! $177 for less than 30 minutes? I believe your Big Deal description is misleading. What he did was look at the mechanism and determine if any adjustment or replacement was needed. On one toilet, I do not believe any adjustment outside of replacing the mechanism could take more than a half hour. That is why it seemed obvious to me that this included replacement. If there was any adjustment/tune-up needed on any of our toilets, it surely didn't take much time at all. He said there was no reason for any replacement of parts. Angie’s List should have understood when it set up the Big Deal with ECO Plumbers that this was not a “Big Deal” and made sure that the wording was better or that the deal was better—both were poor. This was not an introductory offer—a Big Deal--but an offering of commonly provided service at the usual price for a plumber’s time and service.. He was in the house for maybe 30 minutes max and that included me asking him about what he had done and his trying to explain to me that the deal did not include anything except his looking at the mechanism and recommending replacement. In addition, if anything needed replacement, I would have had to pay extra! I suggest that the offer should have been better described, e.g., stating that replacement of any parts would cost extra. That would have keyed me in that this did not include any parts and I would have understood that this was not a Big Deal. MY MAIN POINT IS: The reason I made the mistake is because $59 to look at the mechanism and recommend further action is ridiculous! I believe it is a reasonable assumption that for $59, one would get a new mechanism, particularly if it is an introductory offer that was meant to generate new customers for the company. Instead this was a very good money maker for Eco Plumbers. If I had only one toilet, this man would have been done in 15 minutes or less. At $59 that comes to over $200/hr.—a bit more than the going rate for plumbers!!! I could have paid for the new mechanisms for significantly less than $59 per toilet and put them in myself. Toilet Repair Kits—complete replacement—run from $16 to $36. On every other Big Deal we have purchased, we had excellent service from knowledgeable people. Their lower rate to get a chance to show us their capabilities was worthwhile for them. In EVERY case (except this one) we were very pleased with what we learned about the company and plan to use the company when we require that type of service $59 is an absurd cost for someone to look at the toilet and flush it a few times followed by a recommendation to pay for anything additional! I am thankful that he did not believe there was anything needed for our three toilets. This was a Big Deal—for ECO Plumbers. As the saying goes, Buyer Beware! I wonder--Do I have to do a lot of background research before I take my next Big Deal in order to heed this warning?

That's a good thing and considering that I've recently moved and have had numerous companies out to the house, that kind of contact is somewhat of a rare thing. Called and emailed prior to coming out, showed up right on time, and contacted me to see if I was satisfied afterwards. I even received a call from the office the next day to make sure everything was still working properly. I was amazed. I have never had a follow up call from a service that has been performed on my home before. I was impressed and very pleased.
Description of Work: Kitchen sink would not drain. Food was stuck in the drain and the snake we had would not work. Called them and they were out a few hours later. Extremely professional and also respectful of my children. The technican was very nice. I would absolutely have them back again. I have had bad experiences with plumbers in the past and was not excited to have this one in my house. He has changed my mind. Again, wonderful service.

She later called us to confirm our appointment, and then again, to make certain we were happy with the work. Chris, our plumber, was not only on time for our appointment, but also actually called to see if he could come earlier. When he got to our house, he was professional, considerate & prompt. He covered his shoes the minute he came in our house, got the job done in no time, and left an absolutely clean work space behind in his wake. He was friendly and cordial, but not so much that it slowed him down in the least. We've had a lot of work done on our home, and Chris Stinson is, by far, the most professional service provider we've met. To date: Our toilet is working fine.
Description of Work: We bought an Angie's list deal for a new toilet for around $200. We were given the option to upgrade for $60 more, which we did. Roslyn booked our appointment in a timely manner, and Chris installed the toilet, and hauled away the debris from our old one. Our experience with the folks at Eco Plumbers was entirely pleasant.

He even gave us a discount since we found him through Angie's list. He also pointed out something the previous homeowner did wrong installing the hot water tank that could be a carbon monoxide hazard, and showed my husband how he could fix it himself. We were very satisfied.

One bathroom has mold/mildew smell coming straight from the shower & plumber said not coming from the pipes, so we moved to the master shower. He shined a flashlight down and said that there was some debris in there & it needed to be snaked for $220.00 after discount! I decided to turn down the work due to the outrageous price. Plumber said the job would only take 10-15 min. Unreasonable pricing. I'm out 75.00 for a service call? Make sure you ask about the "free estimate". I talked to the woman on the phone when I scheduled & she did not make this really clear. ** MAIN POSITIVE is that the Plumber was extremely nice & the office staff was also friendly. ** NEGATIVE The "list" style pricing is not always the best way to quote jobs. It is not one size fits all.

The Rolls Royce of plumbing. I cant fail the company it was my fault not getting the price up front. The job was replacement of a bathroom faucet with an identical faucet. It took less than 30 minutes and even with a coupon that works out to $400 an hour.

+ 0 moreI had a complicated gas pipe configuration which eventually led to the dryer. I had to consistently have leaks fixed every couple of years. While fixing a leak in October 2012, I asked Eco Plumbers to estimate the cost of replacing the line with a direct route to the dryer. In January 2013, Braun took the pipes out and replaced them with a flexible gas tubing. The job was completed with no problems or complaints.

gas leak repair
+ -1 moreI received a call from my tenant late on a Friday evening saying Columbia Gas had found a leak to the gas water heater after the stop and it would need to be fixed before being turned back on. I sent an E-mail to a Handyman who usually fixes things for my rental hoping he could get to it on Saturday. In the morning I found out the Handyman would not do the work as he was not certified for gas appliances and my tenant called again. The story got more interesting when I talked with her. Both the furnace and gas water heater were off with a leak after the stop . Considering it was early February and very cold outside I was concerned about the water lines freezing and felt I needed to get someone to fix them immediately. I went to Angies List and contacted two companies, one was ECO Plumbers. I was able to get right through to a call center and explain what was needed and that I did needed emergency service. They informed me someone who could help would call me back withing fifteen minutes. I received the call-back within the fifteen minutes and went over the situation with them. They informed me of the emergency cost and that they would be able to get to it later on Saturday. It was around 9:00am at the time. I let my tenant know that Eco Plumbers would be calling to come out and fix the leaks. Eco made it to her place and fixed it by 1:30pm. The plumber called an let me know that after soaping they really didn't find much if anything wrong (Thank you Columbia Gas), but that the connections on the water heater loosened easily. He went ahead and took the connections apart and resealed them on both the furnace and gas water heater, checked them again and took care of re-lighting the gas water heater. He asked how I found them, to which I responded, "Angies List", because of that he applied a discount that helped relieve a little of the cost pain. If it wasn't for the Emergency Service fee I believe the cost would have been much easier to take, but on a Saturday and wanting it done as quickly as possible I understand the fee.

I first learned about them through an Angie's List "Big Deal" and they have become my plumber for everything I need. Their price was very good on the original deal and each time thereafter has been pretty fair. This service call to replace a bathroom faucet was completed by Chris. He did an excellent job and was very thorough. He was friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything he needed to do. His finished promptly and cleaned up everything afterwards. Chris didn't charge for unnecessary work and he even gave me a repeat customer discount. That was very much needed and appreciated. The plumbers at Eco Plumbers are always the best at a fair price and they appreciate the value of a customer's time and money. I would recommend them to everyone.
