Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians

Eco Plumbers responded to an emergency situation after regular business hours on Friday evening. Time Warner cable installers drilled a hole in the water line supplying my property when attempting to install TV cable. Water came gushing in. I was able to turn off the main valve to stop the flow of water. Doing so stopped the water coming in ? but left the entire house without water. I checked Angie?s List and called The Eco Plumbers. The answering service picked up the call immediately, took my information and reassured me someone would be calling me shortly. Within 15 minutes I received a phone call telling me they were sending Adam ?H? to my house. Soon thereafter Adam ?H? called to tell me he was on his way. He arrived ? asked me to show him where the shut off valve was located ? quickly assessed the situation and told me it wouldn?t take long to locate the hole in the pipe. He was true to his word. He opened up my wall and found the hole in the pipe right away. He cut out a piece of the pipe which contained the hole and had it replaced with new piping in a jiffy. He turned the water back on and everything was back to normal again. From the time he arrived to the time he finished was 45 minutes. He was quick, focused, pleasant, professional and efficient. I could not have been happier. When I need a plumber in the future, I will definitely use Eco Plumbers again, and of course, I will request Adam ?H?.

I called The Ecoplumbers because our hot water heater went out. Adam Kennedy explained that it needed to be replaced even though it was only about 8 months old. It was spewing water everywhere and had flooded our basement. The Ecoplumbers did not put the existing hot water heater in. Adam took the time to get the serial number off of the ruined unit and googled the manufacturer to see if it was under warranty. It was! All we would need to pay was the labor and extra parts costs. Adam rigged the existing unit so that we could at least have cold water until they could get the new unit in. Two technicians, Dan and JP, showed up on time the next morning to install the new hot water heater. They were so nice and courteous. They explained everything they would be doing and were extremely professional. My faucet outside was leaking and I asked them if they could take a look at it.They fixed that too. They cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful of my home. It was a great experience and I highly recommend The Ecoplumbers.

It went well. The plumber was there only a few hours. The work area was cleaned up and everything is working much better than it was.

Had the Eco plumbers come out for a toilet fix up via and Angie's List big deal. Had been having problems with the downstairs toilet the last month or so. It sees the most by far. Their representative arrived on-time. He looked at the toilet tightened up a few things then suggested we get a new toilet and that he could install one for around $500. I declined, he left. The toilet ran better for a few days now it's back to flushing slow. Going to call another plumber in to get a second opinion.

Everything went great as usual. The whole process took a couple of hours and Dan was really thorough & pleasant to talk to (as always). This is the 4th time I've used Eco Plumbers and Dan has been my tech on 3 of the 4 calls. I will continue to use these guys in the future whenever I can.

He came right out. They were convenient to use and he had everything on him to fix the issues. He was very nice and explained all of the issues to us.

My kitchen sink was backing up. We discovered a crack in the disposal. I asked about the Angie's List Deal on the disposal. I didn't realize I was supposed to buy it ahead of time. They were very kind & let me use it anyway. After the disposal was fixed, Chris did a thorough job testing to make sure everything was working. He discovered there was also a clog further down in the pipes. He worked to clear the clog. When Chris left, I felt like our problem had been solved & that they charged me a fair price for the work that had been done.

When he was shown a connection problem he said all the fixtures, toilet and water pipes all need to be replaced. A couple of days later he emailed to me the quotes, in which he made it very specific he would not be responsible for this or that. So I went to Roush Hardware, asked the people there for help, who explained to me clearly and assured me it would be easy to fix the problem. So I bought the parts and fixed the connection myself.

Work was done quickly and very professionally. Before contracting to have the work done, we got quotes from three companies. Ammar, the technician who did the work also did the quote for Eco Plumbers was very professional and very informative. During the quoting process, Ammar discussed the work we needed done and reviewed options for completing the work. He asked questions to find out what we really wanted and how we lived to make sure that the work we were requesting was what really needed to be done before completing the quote. This allowed us to think and we did make changes to the work we were requesting. After reviewing the quotes we decided on Eco Plumbers and signed the quote. Eco Plumbers were able to schedule the work in less than a week. On the day of work Ammar called and let us know that he was able to arrive earlier than scheduled which was great. When he arrived he did a walk through with us to review the work that needed to be done and explain how he was going to be doing the work. After that Ammar got to work. He did the work quickly, professionally, and we are very happy about the quality. To do the toilet and sump pump Eco Plumbers provided another technician, at no extra charge, come in and help compete the work. Didn't get the other technician's name but he was just as professional as Ammar. Ammar kept all the work areas very clean and organized. I was very happy that Ammar/Eco Plumbers removed all the trash, including the utility sink and old sump pump, so that we did not have anything to clean up and/or find some way to dispose of these items. We will not hesitate to use Eco Plumbers in the future and will request Ammar for any future work we have.

The service went well. I ended up having to buy a whole new toilet. The technician did a great job installing the new toilet. The plumber was very knowledgeable in his field and very informative. He took his time to make sure he did the job correctly. He was also very courteous. They were very responsive and easy to schedule.

Eh.. This felt like flushing $$ down the drain. We've been having issue with our toilet flushing, need to hold lever down for almost a minute some times, so I thought this would be a quick win. I signed up for the 5 point toilet tuneup on the big deals page and scheduled an appointment. The contractor that they sent over didn't communicate very well, looked at the toilet and said there's not much he can do, this toilet is designed this way. To hold down the lever forever to get it to flush? Seems unlikely. He tinkered with it for a little bit but didn't really do anything.

Well done and for the time estimated.

The person called to set an appointment promptly. It did take about 5 days to schedule the service, but it was not an emergency. The plumber was on time, knowledgeable, and completed the work and left the work area clean. The service department called the next day to make sure we were satisfied.

Excellent, Dan was an extremely nice guy who took the extra time to explain to me what he was doing and how to do each thing in case I wanted to do it in the future. Couldn't have been more professional. Line was clogged and he gave me honest, fair answers on how to handle it for the future. He even spent a little extra time to give me quotes on other items in the house and possible ways to handle other issues. I will be using them again, without question.

I contacted them via their web site on a holiday (July 4) and they called back late that morning, set an appointment for the next business day. Arrived on time, inspected the leaking water heater and discussed several options for replacement. They worked with the manufacturer of the old heater to determine if warranty coverage still existed. Once we decided to go with a new, tankless model, they scheduled installation within five days. Upon installation, the arrived on time, removed the old water heater, installed the new, tested everything and cleaned up. All said and done, the job was completed within six total hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM). All aspects of the job were very professional, responsive and thorough. My only drawback was the overall price of the job (higher than I expected, but sometimes worth the piece of mind).

Very favorable experience all the way around. Braun provided a comprehensive assessment of multiple plumbing problems and provided an accurate invoice estimate. He set up an appointment with Adam for service within two weeks of assessment. Adam arrived right on time with all the equipment needed. He worked quickly and conscientiously to complete all the work. He was conscientious of keeping everything clean, it looked just like it had before he started. Adam provided information to help me maintain the things he installed. I felt very confident in the work he provided. Final bill was exactly as estimated. I was able to get a discount on the disposer as a result of a deal through Angie's List, as well as a 15% discount for services provided. Eco Plumbers provides invoices and receipts via email in a very timely manner. They are easy to work with and appear to provide a reliable service. I would defintely call them again for future plumbing needs.

Chris was courteous and very neat and tidy. Of course I love the foot booties that keep debris from being tracked inside the house. He left briefly at one point to get a part at a nearby Lowe's so that he could complete the job using the right materials - he could have cut corners and used what he had on the truck, but he clearly cared about doing a great job. We are ecstatic because we previously could not shut the water off to the external faucet that was dripping without shutting off the cold water to our kitchen sink. MVP

Adam was our service person and he called 20-30 minutes before arrival to give me his arrival time. I like this as I only live a few miles from home and am able to leave the office when called and meet service companies at my home without taking a lot of time off. Eco plumbers are very considerate of your home and cover their feet and lay floor coverings to protect your surroundings. Installation under the sink in a very tight area is no easy feat in our kitchen and Adam accomplished this in a timely manner. He cleaned up the area and removed all debris then asked me to check out the workings of the new faucet to make sure I was happy with the install. This is something not all service providers ask. I have used Eco Plumbers before and was very happy with their service and that was why I chose them again.

Technician arrived, and before looking at anything, tried to sell new equipment to us. When he learned we already had new equipment, he said he would install our new pump and then see if the problem was solved. Since we knew that the problem was not the pump, we had hoped the technician would find what caused the main pump to burn out (it was only 3 years old) and prevented the backup pump from being able to pump out the water. We ended up calling Rain One and they made a thorough inspection of the pipes and the sump well. Though they did not find any immediate answers, either, they at least looked at the things that I would have looked at if I had the equipment.

They were very responsive, knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. Adam and Braun were professional and pleasant.

I found these guys on Angie's List highly rated, but was sorely disappointed with the guy that came out. The two issues I have are 1) the guest bath nob to turn from bath to shower isn't working, and 2) the pipes make a knocking sound when the water's on. We started in the guest bath. He was warning me about the potential unknown costs after he started the job and was talking about cutting access panels. I asked him to explain to me why he would have to get to the pipes in the wall if the issue was with the hardware and possibly a stem. He couldn't explain it in a way that made sense, and I'm no dummy. The price he quoted for that was $275 and up from there. No thanks! So, we went to the basement to listen to the knocking sound. He diagnosed that the loud piped were from a bathroom remodel and that the sound only existed when using water from that bathroom. I immediately showed him that was false by turning on the basement faucet. He said he was going to get a second opinion, but never did, and quoted $300 plus just to look into it further. I had him charge me for the consult and was not comfortable proceeding based on the scary consult I received. I do not recommend using them if the other plumbers they employ are like the one that came to my house.

There was a mistake on the original calculation of the bill. The manager recognized the error and sent a refund to my mother. We appreciate the attention management paid to this problem and would now recommend EcoPlumbers to friends and family.

Let's start by saying I have used and commented quite highly on this company before. I am shocked by the turn of events I experienced this time. I have a rental house that had a leak from the 2nd floor tub to the kitchen. I scheduled an appointment for 7/11 and was given a window b/w 10-2. While that's a wide range, I expected to be at the house working anyway and needed the problem fixed. In the meantime, I realized I had an appointment scheduled later that afternoon and would have to leave by 2:30. By 1:45, I realized there might not be enough time to find and fix the problem, so I called the office, explained the situation and rescheduled for the following Friday. Based on the situation, the person scheduling said she'd put it down for first thing Friday, 7/18 at 8 am. Now, I was out of town due to a family surgery on Thursday, 7/17 and had to race back to Columbus so I could be at this rental property by 8 am Friday. By 10 am, I was not very happy, so I called to see what was going on. The woman said someone had been to my house and I was not there. Well, no, as discussed twice before, I was not at MY house...I was at my rental. I was told when I changed the appointment, it had defaulted to my home address. I said that was interesting given I had given all the necessary information again on the day I rescheduled and that, frankly, this was a big problem since I had scheduled a week before and been told someone would be there at 8 am--as I made it a point to be. She then got a little snippy and said, "Well, we had someone out there last week and nobody was home." Well, then he clearly was not within the 4 hour time frame because, as I stated above, I was there until 2:30, 1/2 hour past the time I was promised service. I also had assumed, since I did call and explain the situation at 1:45, that they would have called the technician and let them know the change of plans. So let's move on to resolving when someone would be there. I received a call from the man coming out and he said he'd be there in about 20 minutes. Soon after he got there, he said, "I called you. Why didn't you answer or call me back?" ?????????????? I showed him my phone indicating I HAD not only called back, but reminded him he had SPOKEN with me and told me he'd be there in 20 minutes!!!!!! Ok. So into the kitchen to look at the hole in the ceiling and the leak coming from above. I had a bit of difficulty understanding some of what the technician was saying to me, but we worked through that. Frankly, I found what he said--or the way he presented it--somewhat confusing. He told me it could be one small problem or it could be a large problem. He then explained the correction for the small problem and kept saying "you" would have to do this. I finally asked if he meant "you" as in me as in I should fix it...and he said yes!!!!! I had just about had it. I said if I felt like I could fix the problem, I would have done some a week before!!!! No, I had called a professional company to come diagnose and fix the problem!!!!!! So then he got into the scenario of the larger problem but kept saying it would take 4 hours and cost a lot. I kept trying to get a straight answer as to the necessity of doing the larger job vs the quick fix. I did not get a straight answer. Finally I just said let's do the quick fix and he asked when I wanted it done. Seriously? How is that even a question at this point? Why are you here??? I had already explained when I rescheduled that I did not want just an estimate; I had a tub about to come through into my kitchen and I was making an appointment to get the problem fixed. Now. He borrowed my ladder and my bucket, rubbed some stuff around the pipe, had me sign off and charged me $185. (The verdict it still out if the leak is fixed or not.)
