Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians

came for a toilet tune up and a sink leak. The sink leak was just a twist of a nut he didn't charge for this (hope he doesn't get in trouble) but I did pay for replacement of the toliet flushing mechanism. He did it quick and easy for what I would think is a decent price.

Charles Kennedy was outstanding. He was willing to work through the project with me. Was polite, expert in replacing the complete assembly through marble wall for the shower. He assessed the old unit to see if just values could be replaced. I am guessing they were installed when the house was built in 1977. Not bad for the old values. I liked Charles willingness to listen to us. This was a major expense for replacement that we use every day. I thought $500 was a lot of money and it is but I also realize the expenses that companies incur in today's business environment. He was probably here at least five hours from start to finish!! It was done right and the house was not dirty and like he had never been here except no leaking faucets!!! Excellent plumbers do the job right and are honest. I think they are among the very best. We all want lower prices but do low prices always get us the quality we want. Maybe the lower cost would have been a much lower quality showerhead and faucet assembly supplied by another plumber only to be replaced much much sooner. Overall cost and long term between service calls may make this a lower overall cost when you consider the quality of the product supplied and the craftsmanship of the work??? They should be nominated for Angie's Award for 2015.

The service was fine and I made the appointment and they came when they were supposed to. He did the job in a short space of time, less than 30 minutes. I thought it was a good value, the price and service was good. He was nice and conversational.

I called a different company, they came right out, replaced leaking valve and charged $79.

I have used Eco three times and was very satisfied on all occasions. My only complaint is I find them pretty expensive and may have to find a new plumber for that reason.

He came to our home and found out that we just had to hit the reset button on our garbage disposal and did not need a new disposal. He ended up flushing our hot water heater though.

It went very well. Prompt arrival to their window, call ahead. Surveyed the job site, offered recommendation, and quickly resolved work taking time to explain and document success at each step in the process.

Service provider was very professional and completed the work in a timely manner.

Tech arrived ahead of schedule. Assessed the problem and provided details of the possible problems of toilets leaking into the basement. Provided as best of an estimate ahead of time as he could without knowing exact problems. Began repairs and completed in a very timely manner. My only question about the invoice was a charge of $180 for the first toilet & $75 for the second, which required the same repair (no question about the parts costs). I am awaiting a response from Eco Plumbers, but I suspect a service charge was added to the first toilet. If that's the case, that's an $110 service charge. We'll see. Overall, I was most happy with the repair & the tech was a very good person!

The plumber arrived on time , answered questions , gave an estimate and began to work immediately . I was very pleased with all the work.

Showed up as promised. I needed plumbing for a second bathroom sink. Very professional and explain what they would do. Quote came in very high. With that quote made me wonder if they were trying to rip me off.

The quote to hook up a dishwasher was so completely overpriced - $300. And to add a water line for fridge was $200. I hooked up the dishwasher by myself and the guys at Home Depot had a nice laugh when I told them the quote priced.

Work was done well, but the cost in fixing the issue seemed over the top. Business appeared local, but when confirming appointment, I was required to talk to central office that was out of state. Communication seemed a bit disconnected just in confirming an appointment. $10-20 part installed for $200 does not seem like a good value. I will not use this company again.

He worked in a small bathroom where we had a leak from the toilet. There was some concern of the floor but he was able to repair with a wedge ad able to reset toilet which then stopped leaking. We would use his company in the future if needed.

Mr. Kennedy was extremely nice, very professional and took care of the issue very quickly. We would definitely use Eco Plumbers again.

Everything went fine with the job. I had some other work I wanted done, and he said he would get me a quote. However, I never received follow up.

Late one night I discovered our sewer was backed up, almost to the basement floor. The next morning Chris Stinson arrived with a huge reaming machine and cleared it. He also ran water through the system for a few minutes to make sure that the clogging elements had been pushed all the way out. We had called another plumbing company for the same reason in October, and though they cleared the line for the moment, they did not ensure that all the muck was fully out of the system. Chris offered us three options for service, and we opted for the overall cleaning of drains throughout the house. We also bought, for around $50, a large container of biodegradable cleaner to keep the lines flowing for years. Besides this, he showed us what his camera saw in the sewer--no roots, happily--and gave us advice about our water heater and sump pump. Altogether we were very pleased with the service. Chris seems especially knowledgeable about drains.

Able to schedule to fit my schedule. Called ahead and arrived early. Services were provided quickly and with no mess.

Called this company to get service on a toilet that required a new flange and drain pipe install. I was told on the phone they would schedule me for next day (great) and that the person arriving could both quote and complete the work on-site. The gentleman showed up in street clothes only with a cell phone in hand. He told me at the forefront he was not going to do any work and was only estimating jobs that day. He took about 5 minutes to review the situation and quoted over 3X what other plumber had estimated. I pressed him on the cost and he said his company needed to pull a permit @ $250. Removing the permit fee the cost was still greater than 2X what had been quoted elsewhere. Thankfully I have a fairly strong working knowledge of how plumbing systems work and was able to clearly identify that this quote was adding a lot of, in my opinion, unnecessary steps to complete the job. Very disappointing that the company sent someone completely unprepared to do work and unable to give a fair market price.

This was the second time I have used Eco Plumbers, and it will be my last. The first time did not go well, (My toilet had a slight leak, and it needed a small washer that had fallen out. The job took 5 minutes, and they way overcharged me for such a minor repair. I was not pleased at all, indicated so in my review) but the owner called me personally to apologize, and even offered to refund some money, to which I agreed. I decided to give them another shot again when my hot water heater was giving me trouble. It is only 7-years old - the same age as our home. Our hot water heater was giving us hot water, but it wasn't staying hot for very long, and every so often , we noticed the lights on the control panel would indicate there was something up. According to the manual for our hot water heater, it said that it meant the system was in "lockout". Not all the time, just sporadically. So I called Eco Plumbers to have a plumber come out and look at it. The positive to Eco is that they are prompt, and they were able to come out within 24 hours. They were well within the time frame they said, and they called and emailed ahead, which is why I gave them an A in that area. However, when the technician arrived, and I explained the problem, said the tank was only 7 years old, and showed him the hot water heater, (the panel was not lit up at that moment and working just fine) he didn't even touch anything. He looked at me and immediately told me how he recently had been at a home in Blacklick, and replaced a 7 year old water heater. I said, "Replace it?? You think I should replace it??" Again, he had not even touched the system or examined it yet. He shrugged and said, "You could." I was incredulous. I said, "But it's not broken. It still works. I'm just having sporadic trouble over the last few days. No, I'm NOT replacing an unbroken water heater." It's like taking a perfectly good car into the mechanic because you hear a funny noise, and then they don't even pop the hood, but tell you it's time to buy a new one. Not happening. Then he went on about tankless water heaters, and how I could go that route, and then he estimated that at $3,700. What?? Thanks, but no thanks. Someday when the system breaks altogether I'll consider it, but right now, can you please just examine it like I have asked you to?? He finally examined it and determine that it was very dusty inside and needed cleaning, as the dust was occasionally blocking the sensors. An easily fixable problem that did NOT warrant a discussion of spending thousands of dollars to replace a hot water heater. He said he could not warranty his work, which was odd, but i just wanted him to finish at that point. He vacuumed it out within 15 minutes, and as I was writing a check for his services, he said, "Come. Let's go look at your sump pump." "My sump pump? Why? It's only a year and a half old." He said, "Come," and started down my basement stairs again. Very odd. I went down there, and he looked at the sump pump, which was working perfectly fine, and doing its job. He started talking about how it could break at any time, even though it is a perfectly good sump pump that has never given us trouble. He repeated that if the water went over a certain line, it could flood our basement. But the water was nowhere near that line. It was fine. He quoted me two different sump pump prices, and emailed them off to me. Despite that fact that I didn't need them. He was friendly enough, and prompt, but It was all very unprofessional how he kept trying to scare me into replacing perfectly good, working systems. I am a woman, and I don't know a whole lot about plumbing, which is why I hired a plumber in the first place. But I do know when I'm trying to be taken advantage of. It was very disconcerting, because it all felt untrustworthy, and like he was trying to sell me unnecessary services. I appreciate other service technicians (be it electricians or plumbers) that have come into my home, given me an honest opinion of what needed to be done, and did not try to up charge me or scare me into buying more. I noticed that I am not the only reviewer who complained about being approached about replacing a sump pump, when that wasn't even the problem in the first place. If there were a "trustworthy" category on Angie's List, I'd give Eco Plumbers an "F".

They did a good job on the repair. I would work with them again.

The sewer pipe from our sump pump to the street was blocked. When the sump pump turn on, the water would back up in the drainage pipe and come out upstream where the house gutters drains into the sewer pipe. We contacted The Eco Plumbers to clean the sewer line of debris. The company called in advance to let me know they were running at little late. Fifteen minutes prior to arriving, they called again to let me know they were on their way. They arrived within the orginal window set for the visit. The Eco Plumber technician listen to description of the issue, then explained what he believe the most like cause was. The Eco Plumbers technician was very professional and quickly cleared the blockage by snaking the entire sewer line. He ran water down the sewer line to ensure the line was clear; the sump pump also turn on while flushing the line with the water draining into the street as expected. The entire process was completed very quickly. The technician was very friendly and took the time to ensure I was satisfied with his work. The Eco Plumbers use tablets to estimate the job upfront and process payment when completed. Overall the process was very simple, very professional and I would highly recommend the company.
