Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians

This was a Big Deal for $49 to replace the outdoor faucet. Of course it was a very basic one and to get the better one I had to pay more. I was going to have a second one done, but the price was twice this cost. I blame this on Angie's List. They need to have vendors explain offers and options. I have had problems before with Big Deals where it never said that I had to buy some supplies (which required three trips to a hardware store because the person did not like the brand i bought). Again this is an Angie's List issue.

Over the weekend our 50 gallon water heater sprung a leak. We did not want to pay overtime or emergency prices from a plumber so we waited until Monday to contact a plumber. I called the plumber I typically use but they said they only way they could come out before Thursday was to pay the emergency rate. I called a couple of other plumbers from Angie's list and got similar options. This was until I called The Eco Plumbers. They were able to have someone out that morning to look things over and as they said give me an estimate and would be able to do the work the same day. Chris came out and looked at my hot water tank and confirmed that it needed to be replaced. This is when we started talking about a tankless option. I had been thinking about it but was skeptical. I did originally want to put either a larger hot water tank or 2 smaller ones in to replace the bad 50 gallon tank. We are a family of 6 and hot water can be at a premium at times with showers, laundry and dishes. He then reached out to their Service Manager Braun who is also their tankless expert and he was able to come to the house as well and review the options with me. Braun upon reviewing our hot water needs and my basement layout was able to give me an estimate for a tankless unit that would allow for 2 showers and a load of laundry to run simultaneously. Based on that estimate and the fact that I did not have space to put 2 hot water tanks or a larger one I decided to go with the tankless option. As promised they were able to get an installer out the same day. So my 12:30 that afternoon Charlie the installer showed up. Charlie worked tirelessly for almost 7 hours straight to install the unit and we could not be happier. He cleaned up his work and left no mess and did a great job. Braun came back and helped to remove my old hot water tank and they worked to ensure no mess would be left on my carpet as they did so. The overall price of the unit and installation was certainly higher than just putting another 50 gallon hot water tank but the connivence of never running out of hot water coupled with the energy savings makes it worth it in the long run. Additionally I had just replaced a cracked expansion tank with another plumber on the Friday prior to all of this and an expansion tank is not needed with a tankless system. Upon hearing that Braun offered to take the cost I spent on that replacement off my total bill which was very appreciated and unexpected. The total experience was excellent, from the initial phone call, to the calls & emails telling me when people were coming and to the actual work itself. I highly recommend this plumber and the tankless option.

Excellent service from start to finish! Christina was my initial point of contact to schedule the appointment and she was extremely helpful and nice. Shawn was the plumber who replaced one of our two water heaters. He was informative, friendly, efficient, and on time. JP helped in the delivery and initial install of the water heater and he too was wonderful. Definitely a great experience from scheduling to install and also handling the Inspector. There was some confusion on the part of the City of Columbus Inspector which required me to have to call the Eco Plumbers multiple times (to no fault of The Eco Plumbers). Christina was an absolute delight to talk to and work with and it also required Shawn to have to come back and for me to speak with him again. Again, to no fault of theirs. I would highly recommend The Eco Plumbers!

Adam K. and Shawn D. came to my home after closing time to run a gas line to my grill. The landscapers were coming the next day and I needed the gas line completed. Adam and Shawn were very professional and courteous. I really appreciated the good and thorough work they did for me. I would absolutely recommend Ecoplumbers to my friends.

Fantastic, the fellow, Charles Kennedy was fast and quick and even looked at some other projects I may have his company do. He sent me estimates for that other work within one day. He was very knowledgable about every sort of plumbing one might need to have done. He was personable to talk to. He put on protective disposable booties before entering my house and while my basement is pretty clean, he wore them the whole time. He gave me some free advice too. He returned some old copper tubing he had to cut away, which is what I wanted, for some other use. His company uses the latest technology, where by copper soldering is a thing of the past. They now use a new system of copper tube assembly called, PEX and some gripper joints, that are attached with pressure pliers. No soldering required. The PEX flexible line can not corrode, rust or break if there were a freeze. It can expand due to it's flexible material composition. All the connections can be undone with damaging any of the line, another plier tool can un-do the connections. It was a good job and very affordable.

They looked at my sump pump and drains and also tested my water which was not part of the big deal. No actual work was performed as that would have to be scheduled. I felt like like a paid them $50 for the Big Deal for them to give me a sales pitch on all the things they could do for me. I used them previously with a Big Deal to inspect with a camera my main line going out to the street as we have had problems with roots in the past. The thing I really liked at that time was that they found no problem and didn't try to sell me anything. That was one of the reasons I wanted to use them again.

They came out when they said and called before hand. They quoted the work with various options. The work was done immediately after quote approval. Went quickly and professionally. No dirt/grime left behind. They couldn't do one thing in the quote because of technology issues but it developed it wasn't necessary anyway and they didn't charge us for that. Very professional. We tried to use Angie List's scheduling method during the lookup. That didn't go at all well. I finally called them directly. AFTER the work was done I began getting emails from Angie's about scheduling basically telling me to contact EcoPlumber directly. Total waste of effort, will not be using that "extra" on Angie's in the future. EcoPlumbers did a great job!

It took longer than he expected, he needed a tool that he didn't have with him. He seemed knowledgeable. He had to go inside and outside a lot, so after awhile he didn't bother with the shoe covering, so I had mulch in my house, but that was not a problem to vacuum up.

The service guy was a great communicator, friendly and helpful above and beyond what I am used to from service people. I am glad I have found an honest and helpful plumber.

Pearl showed up and installed the new faucet I purchased in under an hour. He did a nice job.

Chris did an excellent job with the replacement and repairs. No problems and very professional yet friendly/sociable.

I kept running out of hot water with my two 50 gallon electric tank heaters and Braun came out and listened to my problem and offered several solutions without overly pushing anything. I ultimately decided to go with 2 Navien units with Eco plumbers. This was after having three other outfits give quotes. Eco was not the cheapest but had the best value. Very professional, responsive to my questions, respectful throughout and delivered on what they said they would. The installers appeared to not mind me coming downstairs throughout the day to look at what was going on and you could tell they knew what they were doing. This company appears to truly value their reputation. My wife got home right when they were finished and wanted to give our boys a shower. I decided I would take on as well in our bath. Two boys and me (3 shower heads) at the same time and no problems. I decided to stay in a tad longer than I normally would. I'm curious to look at my electric bill moving forward as it was starting to get up there each month with those two electric tank models. Lowering my bill was not my motivation, but it would be a nice benefit. Ultimately, it looks as though we will be able to take multiple showers at the same time and/or consecutive showers with no problems.

There was an Angie's List special for a discounted water heater flush. When the plumber arrived, he told me that since our water heater is almost 10 years old and nearing replacement time, he'd risk damaging the water heater if he performed the flush. He said I'd have to replace the entire water heater immediately if he damaged it, because the damage would be irreparable. So my choices were to either take a hit on the $69 I paid and not risk him damage it, or take the risk and see whether or not the damage occurred. I chose to take a hit and not have him touch it, because I wasn't prepared to buy a new water heater. He gave me quotes on three water heaters for when I'm ready to purchase one, and said that if I buy one within the next six months the $69 I paid would go toward the purchase. I felt like this was a little bit of a bait and switch tactic. I didn't see any fine print that the service I bought through the Angie's List deal that if the water heater is a certain age they may not be able to provide the service. I was disappointed and felt like my money went to waste. UPDATE 8/4/15: I was a little late seeing The EcoPlumber's response to my review, but once I did I gave them a call and I spoke with Michael. He was very much willing to work with me and offered to refund me the money I spent on the deal since it was not able to be fulfilled. I have to say I am very pleased with their customer service, and would now recommend them to my friends.

Everything went fine. I didn't realize there was an upgraded version, for $30, that matched my house better until they came out to install it.I decided to go with the one that came in the deal.

Went great. Confirmed the appointment time 24 hours in advance. Called when tech was on his way. Cory was friendly, courteous and did a professional job. He was in and out within 45 minutes. Replaced the InSinkerator we had with the same type and model. I wish all projects could be as quick and simple. Used a special Angie's List promo of $189 which was for a smaller type model of disposal. Since I wanted the larger capacity Insinkerator, the price jumped another $135 (which I knew it would - full disclosure!! :) Service was well worth it. Even though ecoplumbers is a little more pricey, you can't beat the service and professionalism. That's what I like.

They were immediately responsive in scheduling the appointment. They called ahead and were prompt in arriving. The only thing they did wrong was called me in advance of the work instead of calling my mother as I had asked as she was home but that was not a big deal. The work is good and the repairman was pleasant and courteous. If I have a need I would definitely use them again.

The outdoor faucet had been leaking and I had planned to get it replaced before the growing season. I called the Ecoplumbers because I'd had good service from them previously. The woman who took my call asked if I was on Angie's List, and then directed me to the website for a coupon for the exact work. The work was scheduled, I was called a day ahead and just before the work as reminders. The work went quickly, neatly, and at a discount I hadn't expected.

Great. He showed up on time, Got right to work. Did good work, and cleaned up.

They did great job. I use them for all my plumbing. Very friendly workers. Charlie and Chris were very nice. They were very patient with having to come back because water company to have to make changes to outside water shut off value before they could do work on main shut off valve.

I had purchased the water heater from Lowe's originally and it was still under warranty through the manufacturer. I was able to exchange the unit for a new one at Lowe's but didn't have a truck to take it there. The technicians removed the old tank and exchanged it for me, then installed the new one. They were very prompt, friendly, and professional.

Chris was awesome he not answered any questions, comments or conerns we had but also handled 4 kids (3 & under) and their curious minds questions. We had major water leakage everywhere and he removed the numerous tree roots and cleaned everything up for us. This house means a lot to me and he took such good care and gave us great preventive maintance advice. we will defiantly recommend and use him for future work.
