I think their prices were good. They had the blinds we wanted and it just worked. The blinds look beautiful. They were pretty efficient. When they said they will be out to measure, they were there. When they said they will be out to install them, they were there. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I wanted to have someone come out and go through my blinds throughout the house. This company installed them years ago. I received a call from this lady, she seemed like she was really doing me a favor by just calling me....she did not seem to know anything about blinds and showed no interest in determining if she could do the job. Then wanted to charge me $99 to take a look without that charge going to the repair if she could do it. Very unprofessional attitude.

That service involves sending a knowledgeable service person who can advise a customer regarding what can be repaired & the advisability of repair versus purchasing new blinds. That service is $99.00 Many people prefer to bring their blinds in to the factory for evaluation which is free.

I used the Blind Factory to install 6 Hunter Douglas black out shades in my home late last year (2014). That experience at the end of the day was good enough for me to go back. It wasn't without a few issues but it was satisfactory enough that I was willing to work with them again. That is until today. I am actually just plain angry at my experience today. From a customer service standpoint it is just completely unacceptable. I saw flashes of this with my last experience but not enough that I really felt concerned working with this company once again. Today I went into their showroom shortly after they opened. I had my three year old with me and had items along to hopefully keep him entertained while I looked around and worked with one of their associates. I walked in right before an older couple. The only person working at that point was a gentleman and he asked me if I had any questions. I told him I was going to just look around first and he proceeded to help the older couple. While I was looking I saw a few women enter the store to begin their day of work. I was ready to be helped at this point and patiently waited while the gentleman finished up with the other couple. When he was done, and had passed them off to another associate, I told him now I need help. Please note no one else had asked me if they could help me. I shared I was a previous customer and I am now looking for window covering for 11 windows. I told him what windows I was covering and that I only wanted cordless options. I also shared with him a few items I was interested in looking at. He proceeded to try to help me. I say try because any question I asked he did not know the answer. At one point one of the female associates was close by and she interjected a response as something he was telling me was not completely correct. I said to her that I thought she had helped me last time when I purchased my shades. Her response was "Oh I don't know that". It came off curt and rude to me. I was in that store for half an hour. Almost any question I asked could not be answered by the person helping me and he had to ask one of three women by the counter area repeatedly. Three women stood by their counter area talking to one another while this gentleman tried to help me. He just didn't know anything about their product. It was absolutely infuriating/frustrating as a customer to see three people standing around while this poor guy, and myself, obviously needed some assistance. I was there with my kid. That already means I don't have all day. I have a busy schedule and had found some time to stop in that morning. It wasn't busy in the store. I was the only one after the older couple left. I can honestly say there would be a rare time that I walk out of a store but this is one for the short list. The feeling I got as I tried to spend what will probably easily end up being upwards of $5,000-$7,000 was that my business did not matter and that customer service is not important to this company. Again I saw glimpses of this last time but chalked it up to personality. I was overall happy with my first experience with a couple exceptions but this has turned me for good. I will definitely not recommend Blind Factory to friends or neighbors and I felt compelled to write this review. It is so aggravating when all you want is decent customer service and knowledge of the product and can not get that from a company that bills themselves as good at both. If there are "many things you could say" you should. That is a cop out for sure. My experience with your company breaks down easily to terrible customer service, lack of knowledge for the product with-in your sales staff and basic rudeness by those that do seem to have the knowledge. My expectations when working with service providers is to have good customer service plain and simple at a decent value. I have contacted another Angie's List service provider and they have been absolutely wonderful to work with in regards to knowledge, professionalism and service for the same product you provide. Based on my experience there is better out there to work with and pricing is all similar.

I went to the Blind Factory in January 2015 to decide on window treatments for my rental property. They were VERY helpful, and even though they were relatively busy, I did not have to wait very long. I went home with a tentative order and a sample of the vertical blind I had selected. Ron came out a week later to do a window measurement. He informed me that he would need to return AFTER the carpeting was installed to do an exact measurement for the length of the vertical blind. Pam actually called a couple of times to see if I was ready for installation, yet. Ron returned in mid April to measure after the carpeting had been installed. Five days later, the installation team arrived to quickly and efficiently do their job. The installers were unhappy with one of the blinds which did not meet their "standards". I received a call the next morning to tell me that particular blind had been re-cut and was ready for re-installation! WOW! Two days later, the blind was re-installed, and the project was complete! They did a beautiful job!

The gentleman came into the house with a book of blind samples and a plastic bag of samples. The ones in the bag he said were their blinds. The bag was a jumble. I couldn't tell one from the other and they were very small. I asked about the warranty and he said I'd get a warranty. When I said I'd like to know that before purchasing he handed me a book to read through. I asked about the remote for one blind and he again told me to read what was there while he wrote up my estimate. Not very helpful nor very professional.

To my knowledge the cut samples of our in house cellular shades are the same size as the ones in the Comfortex sample book that he showed you. Unfortunately they do not give us big samples to sell from. As for the warranty information we think this is a benefit for him to have that available for you to read through. We hope you were able to find what you were looking for.

They came out to verify the measurements for the windows and my final choice. Two installers came out. All the blinds fit the way they should fit. They worked together, one prepared the blinds and the other hung them. They worked really quickly. I would suggest to make sure the estimator to come out to verify everything to check mistakes you make or they make. I did a lot of comparing with other companies and felt comfortable using them. I used them for blinds in one room for my other home.
Description of Work: They installed blinds through the whole entire house.

I called up to schedule an in-home consultation. Told them my address in Licking County. They then said they wanted $60.00 to come out. I stated that their ad on Angie's List said they service Licking County and she told me and quot;only parts of Licking County.and quot; I told her to forget about it. She told me I could bring my measurements in to their showroom instead, to which I declined. Last time we took our measurements, it was a bust and ended up paying the place a restocking fee. They need to be more clear about their consultation fees and service areas. The perceived deception is why they get an and quot;Fand quot;

Everything went very well. The salesperson in the store was very personable and informative and the person who came and measured and then the installers were all punctual, professional and did a great job.

Our overall experience was very positive. They were prompt and professional throughout the process. The finished product exceeded our expectations in that they fit beautifully and match the existing wood trim so well that they blend in flawlessly. The sales and installation process was very smooth. We rated the overall experience an A, with the exception of price which we rated a C. The only reason for that is that we did not shop around, and the price was somewhat higher than we expected, so we gave price a C grade by default. As far as the service and product, we are very satisfied and would recommend the Blind Factory.
Description of Work: We bought interior wood shutters for 4 windows/doors. They had to take the measurements, select the appropriate finished wood color, provide an estimate, order the shutters, and return for the installation.

I didn't know what I wanted, so I got a few sample home. The employees were fine, while interacting with me. I will recommend them. I think their price was on the lower side. Everything else was fine.

Excellent. When the installers realized that there had been an error in construction (not in the measurement -- the measurements were perfect), they immediately told us they would replace. We didn't have to ask. The blinds are perfect for our house, which is small, so uniformity from room to room was one of our goals.
Description of Work: We have 7 windows in our home that needed window treatments: 5 bedroom windows, 1living room window (includes center fixed picture window and 2 side windows with screens), and 1 kitchen window (2 sliding frames). Blind Factory measured and provided samples. We knew that we wanted the faux wood and the available color choices were fine with us (we wanted something neutral, so that's what we chose). Approx 3 weeks later, the factory was ready for install, which was done quickly and professionally. There was a factory error that was corrected promptly, and the replacement blinds arrived 10 days later.

They are going to remake our shades at no charge. They were very, very prompt. The initial product we received fit properly, but was just the wrong material. We knew there could be a problem because there was an inconsistency between samples, but they assured us they would get us what we wanted. They have followed through on this and will be installing them this week. This is the second time we've used them and we will use them again.

They were very punctual. They came and measured and installed. They promised two week wait period and they were on time. The installer came and when he got to the last two rooms the brackets were missing so he hung them temporarily and within a week they had them in and came out the next to put them up.
Description of Work: They hung blinds up four bedrooms and TV room.

I visited their website and then their showroom in Hilliard. Scheduled an in-home visit to measure and price the window treatments. I had previously priced the installation and found the Blind Factory price competitive. I signed an agreement that day. Within 2 days I received a call to tell me when they would be available and to schedule the installation. They were installed within 2 weeks in a very professional manner.
Description of Work: Installed vertical blinds on 3 large floor-to-ceiling windows & 2 large sliding doors plus mini-blinds on 2 smaller windows.

The company did a fantastic job. Bill came timely to measure the blinds and said they would arrive in approx 2 weeks. I received a call in less than a week advising me that they were in. Ron came to install them and did a great job too. All of the employees were very pleasant and professional.
Description of Work: I ordered 2-inch faux wood blinds for 11 windows in my house. Their price was very reasonable and much better than the estimates I received from other companies.

We went to the store and Ron showed us suitable blinds for our project. He suggested we have a salesman come to our home with samples, which we did. Bill came out promptly and offered suggestions which were right on. We placed the order and one week later they were installed by Michael. Everything went smoothly, promptly, and professionally.

We were extremely happy with service we received from the Blind Factory. They were prompt, polite and provided a quality product that just looks wonderful in our home. When we had measurements taken we were told our blinds would be ready in two weeks, we received a call one week later letting us know they were ready! What a nice surprise. We definitely recommend this company and will be using them again in the future.

THEY HAD VERY LOW PROFESSIONALISM AND VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP. IT WAS A POOR INSTALLATION, AND THE INSTALLERS HAD A VERY POOR ATTITUDE. I LET THEM FINISH THE JOB TO WHERE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS FINISHED, BUT I DID NOT THINK THAT IT WAS. THE LOUVERS WERE WARPED. THE SHUTTERS WERE CUSTOM MADE BUT DID NOT FIT CORRECTLY, AND THE MAGNET CATCHES WERE NOT ALL INSTALLED.
Description of Work: THEY MADE AND INSTALLED THREE INCH LOUVERED PLANTATION SHUTTERS. 2 WERE ON A SLIDING DOOR AND 3 WERE IN THE LIVING ROOM. ANOTHER DOOR TOOK 2 SHUTTERS.

We are sorry about your experience. We know that if the shutters did not fit your window, they would not have installed them and left. Maybe the shutters didn't fit your window you had imagined they would. Majority of shutters have to be installed on the frame of your window instead of an inside mount due to the way the windows are installed and how they operate, whether they crank open or if they window falls in to clean them. Again, we apologize you did not have a good experience.

THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO PROVIDE QUALITY BLINDS IN A PROMPT, EFFICIENT MANNER. SELECTED AND INSTALLED WITHIN ONE WEEK. THEY TRIED TO PLEASE ME AND THEY DID! PRICE WAS HALF OF THE OTHER ESTIMATES I RECEIVED.

DID NOT PERFORM WHAT THEY PROMISED. THE SALESPERSON DID NOT ANSWER OUR CALLS. THE STAFF WERE VERY RUDE AND HUNG UP ON US. WE SENT A MAIL TO THE OWNER AND DID NOT GET ANY REPLY. WOULD NOT SUGGEST ANYONE TO GO TO BLIND FACTORY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS A NORMAL PRACTICE FOR THEM.
