It went very well. Our kitchen floor looks amazing and is still holding up with no issues years later. This contractor went above and beyond to make sure our floors were installed correctly, looked great and would a long long time. Thank you Floor Magicians.

Rob did an amazing job and was a joy to have around. He was honest and paid great attention to detail. He and his son ripped up our old carpet to install LVP (that looks AWESOME) and was more than flexible with our schedule when the project uncovered some unexpected issues (with the basement floor itself, not because of Rob) that he fixed at no extra charge. I would 100% recommend Rob to anyone needing any flooring help!

Slow work - showed up late - had to go out of town in the middle of the job for a death in the family but then quit in the middle of the job when he finally returned - did not even have the balls to talk to us face to face but sent a cowardly text - poor quality of work and just does not have the skill to compare to true professional installers - buyer beware !!!

We had a really great experience with this contractor. We had linoleum floors that were beginning to look really bad and the floor magicians took a look at our floor and not only gave us an honest estimate, but told us what was the best option for our family. When the product we bought (which was different from the one he recommended) was proving difficult to install, Robert called the manufacturer and asked questions and made sure he installed it the right way so as not to void the warranty. He was gracious and took his time to do the job properly and perfectly. Robert and Joshua worked around our schedule to select a time for the project. I enjoyed having them in our house. They made the entire experience a really good one.

This is the second time I used The Floor Magicians and as before I was very impressed. Originally I had intended on using ceramic tile in two bathrooms I was remodeling. When Rob came out for a consultation neither he nor I knew exactly what we would be dealing with as far as subfloor condition and thickness. I was very concerned about having a smooth transition from the hardwood flooring to the tile and Rob was very accommodating of this. We scheduled a date of install and we agreed that I would do the demolition and subfloor replacement and after several reschedules including a custom shower enclosure being delayed over a week, my daughter being born early, changing material from ceramic tile to groutable vinyl tile, as well as a few other things, I thought we were finally ready to go. I called Rob up and he and his son squeezed me in to their booked schedules only to realize when they arrived that I just had the drywall finished the day before. Rather than install the tile and risk the drywall dust settling into the wet grout, Rob insisted that we wait and they come back another day. I felt really bad but consented. When the dust had settled and I cleaned it up, they came back and laid the tile to perfection. We have gotten many compliments on the tile and the threshold transition is non-existent. I forgot to mention with the crunch of my slightly premature newborn daughter I didn't have the time to install the finish layers of the subfloor I had planned on. As I had taken a full week doing the base subflooring, I knew there was no way I was going to fit it in and so I asked Rob what he would want to add that to his scope of work. Rather than commit highway robbery due to my desperate situation he was very reasonable and I kid you not they did that part of the job expertly in about 2 hours. I ultimately paid them a little extra due to the delays and my satisfaction with the job without them asking for it even though they were entitled. I will definitely use The Floor Magicians again..

Beautiful work, professional and very responsive (he answered his cell phone everytime I called).He showed up on time and I felt comfortable around him. Rob takes pride in his work and it shows. We are very pleased with the great job he did. I plan to hire him again when we remodel our master bath.

Rob came for the estimate at the time he promised. He was thorough in his estimate. He recommended a tile store with plenty of selection. Rob accommodated our unusual schedule. We did run into a delay when Rob's previous job hit a snag due to that homeowner. He quickly let us know and worked hard to get back to our job and finish as scheduled.

We had previously purchased the special ordered tile but a combination of feeling as if we were in over our head and other projects had kept us from installing it. Rob was confident and polite when discussing the project and he and his son got right to work. As the tiles we had ordered were from different color batches Rob and his son went to the trouble of taking every single piece of tile off of the fiberglass mesh backing and picked and chose the tiles to blend the colors for a natural look. They went to meticulous detail to leave even gaps making jigsaw-like pieces around the window sill and made sure that there would not be any reveal several times behind the numerous outlets and switches. Instead of grouting it the same day, Rob suggested we would have better results with this textured natural tile if we sealed it overnight before applying grout and even gave his opinion on the several grout colors my wife had picked We went with his advice and it turned out great. My wife was not able to be there on the final day and Rob took soo much pride in his work that he called back later that evening to ask what she thought about the final product! You don't expect that level of followup in a project especially after being paid. I would hire Rob again for any backsplash or tile flooring project in the future (though he did tell me he does laminate/other materials as well).
