As I said in my previous notes, which see, I had to stand by every minute of the time they worked to be certain they had the correct tools, equipment and parts to assure some modicum of accuracy. I allowed them to use some of my tools - some of which they didn't have. I provided such things as wrenches, pliers, gadgets to find wires within the walls, wire strippers, screws and more. After they left, I found they had attached the water supply lines incorrectly - cold side to hot water line, and vice versa. One must ask "what kind of a plumber makes that kind of a rookie mistake?" The water supply lines leaked and I had to turn off the water to keep the vanity from being ruined. The drain traps leaked. The workers claimed they couldn't put the electric wiring and receptacles behind the drywall, so they mounted them on the wall in some white plastic tubes and new construction type metal electric boxes. It was a totally unprofessional look and had no aesthetically pleasing attributes, period. They arrived with no parts whatsoever. When they detected a parts need, they had the supervisor's wife go to a local hardware store to purchase them which added additional time to the total hours. They seemed in a total rush to complete their work. I suppose that was under the guise of saving me money, but it was clearly at a significant cost to the quality of the work.. They left one of their needed tools in my garage. They were in my town to do a roofing job, and asked if they could come by and pick it up, to which I agreed. I did that because I'm an ethical guy, and I wanted to tell them about the leaks and make a request that they fix them, which I did. Since they were in town for the week, and they were only about 15 minutes away, I thought the request was quite reasonable. They agree to return that same week - no problem. I never saw them again. I called the workman directly 3 times to report the leaks again because he insisted that I do so. Never heard from him or anyone else until I filed my complaint with the BBB. The owner said I should have called him. Though I did so, and he never replied, never seemed to register with him. The BBB complaint was never addressed and remains open to this day. I had my own local plumber come in and fix the plumbing, including the leaky supply lines and the drains. He also removed two redundant water supply pipes, thereby simplifying the under-sink plumbing by a large amount. I personally replaced the old faucets (2 in in the double vanity) as the connection was ruined by the constant changing of the supply lines after the "repair men" did their work. I also replaced the bottom of the vanity ruined by the leaks the "repair men" caused, and I re-connected and re-positioned the small capacity pump they were originally supposed to install properly. Finally, I also personally re-routed the ugly electric line behind the wall, removed and replaced the white plastic tubes, mounted old-construction electric boxes per code. The plumbing was done for $79.00 ($50.00 per hour plus parts - compare to $85.00). I replaced the electrical work using a small hand tool, a wire snake, an old construction electrical box, a receptacle and some drywall mud. (Compare to an alleged "professional" who needed MY tools, had no wire snake, did no know how to run wire behind drywall, used new construction electrical boxes, and left a mess behind. The only thing they did half-way right was to replace a piece of fascia over my garage. They cut the fascia from wood I provided, and nailed it into place. I had to glue it and fill the space they left open when they mis-measured it. I also had to paint the fascia as it was left with no finish. I agreed originally to the "no finish", but had no idea they had nailed the fascia up with a gap at the end. To this day, not one single contact, no refund for work I paid for to correct their terrible work, and I was actually threatened by the owner, who claimed I was "harassing" him. When I suggested that he serve me with the suit so we could at least argue it out in court in front of an impartial group of men and women, he never contacted me again. NEEDLESS TO SAY - I WOULD NEVER - THAT'S NEVER - RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO EVEN MY ENEMIES LET ALONE ANYONE I KNEW, AND ESPECIALLY NOT MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY!
Description of Work: This is a follow-up on my previous report. I apologize for the error, but the previous business address was incorrect. The "Affordable Anytime Repair & Cleaning Services" apparently is some sort of a franchise name. The one I dealt with is the one North of Columbus I believe in Upper Arlington. I lodged a Better Business Bureau complaint against the correct company, but while the owner contacted me and seemed to be amenable to refunding the $79.00 charge I incurred by having a REAL plumber correct his workers' unacceptable work and his unresponsiveness to my requests for them to correct all their mistakes as provided by their so-called "warranty". However, he did not ever make good on his claim to be an ethical and trustworthy business man. He asked for photos of the "before" and "after" details of the shoddy work his employees did, as well as a copy of my plumber's bill. I provided both. Though I've followed up with him several times via email, web site and phone, he has never responded either to me or to the Better Business Bureau. I must say that the company in Heath, Ohio is apparently directly connected to the one in Upper Arlington, Columbus, Ohio, so I apologize for that error. I would like to inform everyone who lives in Southeaster Ohio that Affordable Anytime Repair company, owned by a person identified only as "Bill" places his ads in the local phone books with an "800" number which goes directly to the office in Upper Arlington or somewhere near there. The company advertises that they do insurance work, but in my opinion, if they do, insurance companies are being overcharged for labor and parts. At $85.00 dollars and hour and the unacceptable quality of work, anyone can easily find a local workman could clearly do a much better and professional job at a more reasonable price. Before you hire any company in the Columbus area, make certain that the owner's name is NOT "Bill". There is a web site by the name of "Affordable Anytime Repair and Cleaning Services". Beware - be sure to check out the locations in the North of Columbus before you contract with this provider. My experience is, by far, the worst I've ever experienced, and I've seen plenty in my more than 70 years!

After over 3 weeks of delays, missed appointments, and lack of communication, provider showed up and took two days to complete work. Lacked proper tools, equipment and parts. Left hot and cold water supply crossed. Plumbing repair leaked after service performed. We were without use to bathroom sinks for several days, waiting for a REAL plumber to arrive and correct shoddy work. Additional cost was $79.00. Original work and parts were warranted, but upon both verbal discussion and phone calls requesting repair of leaks and poor installation, still have received neither reply nor repair of warranted work or parts. Have to contract another plumber to fix the original shoddy work.
Description of Work: Under-sink plumbing, electric wiring, gutter fascia replacement.
