It took about 6+ days to hit water and complete the drilling. Weather was challenging and they were busy helping with people whose wells had dried up, so took a little longer than expected.
Description of Work: We needed a new well due to an addition being constructed on our home.

Our home has a well and the well pump suddenly went belly up and we had no water. We have quite a bit of livestock so we were a bit concerned. We called Mount Water Well Drilling of Newark and they scheduled a repair person to our home the same day. The repair person called to let me know approximate time he would arrive, and then he called when he was on his way. He replaced the old well pump and replaced the pressure tank.
Description of Work: Replaced well pump and new pressure tank. Ran water to make sure we were getting a good flow and pressure and then tested our well water to check for hardness and iron content.

Description of Work: Our well pump went out unexpectedly and I had two companies come out to give us quotes. Beinhower Drilling out of Johnstown wanted to charge us $2,700 for a new well pump. Mount Drilling came out same afternoon and estimated $1,300. Identical pump, parts, labor...what a rip off Beinhower Drilling is! We went with Mount Drilling. Their staff is very friendly, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable. They worked all day (and night) to get our new well pump working, however our casing was shot and our well was falling apart. We ending up drilling for a new well. Though Mount Drilling is not the cheapest, they give good quality work that will last a lifetime. (Beinhower quoted us $15,000 + to get a new well). Our original quote from Mount was $8,900 but we ended up drilling deeper which increased the price. They put in steel piping instead of plastic due to our depth and took their time to do the project right. If I am paying that much I want the project done right! I would definitely recommend Mount Drilling for anyone else out there with well issues.

They responded quickly and the price was fair. They had my old pressure tank out and a new one installed in less than an hour. A few days later I had a small leak in a pipe and they came out and fixed it free of charge. The leak was not due to their work.
Description of Work: Installed a new pressure tank to replace my old one that had a leak.

Water pressure failed late Friday night. We called them around 9am the following morning after. They provided a rough phone estimate for pump replacement and offered to do the work in the afternoon on the same day. Their estimate was just a few hundred higher than the typical estimates we had gotten so far, but the prospect of having our water restored on the same day trumped these relatively small differences in cost. They arrived promptly as promised, diagnosed the problem within minutes, and explained the most likely root cause -- i.e., the deteriorated pressure tank/bladder and resultant short run cycles had likely caused the old pump to fail. They replaced the submersible pump, pressure tank, switch, and several other worn/faulty parts for the 100 foot deep well. Both men were very experienced and competent. They worked quickly and completed the entire service call within a mere 2 hours. The replacement parts all appear to be high quality and the final assembly/fit from the bottom of the pump all the way up to the valves in the house appears to be very neat and professional. They were courteous from the very first call and throughout. The final cost was slightly more than we had originally expected, but when I compare it to the other options we had this weekend, my conclusion is that the cost was fairly reasonable. They appear to have done a fine and timely job overall, and the system appears to be working better than ever. The steady and strong shower that I just finished taking was very nice!

He claimed that the cloudiness was a result of a 6 month old geothermal installation and recommended we contact our geothermal provided. I rated B on quality instead of A because it would have been nice to have additional information on what needed to be done, including a full well inspection and perhaps water testing. Although he was very punctual, responded quickly to our inquiry and didn't charge us for the visit.
Description of Work: Our well water is cloudy all of the time and dirty after it rains. He inspected the filtration system and shined a flashlight in the well.

I came home, on a Friday, to find a bunch of water in my front yard and my driveway. My husband looked at the well pipe and saw water all around it. We called Mount and Nathan answered after only two rings, on a Friday night, after 5:00. I explained what I saw, he diagnosed the problem (what was the likely cause, etc) over the phone and stated he could come out the next day (Saturday) by 8:00 a.m. I was already impressed with his friendliness and professionalism on the phone, I was blown away when he actually showed up at 7:55 a.m. the next day! After only an hour and a half, the leak was fixed, ground was back in place and we were good to go! I was even impressed with the cost! I highly recommend Mount , especially Nathan, and will definitely use them again!

They did a super job when they dug the well originally. They did everything they needed to do when they were here.
Description of Work: They fixed a small leak, which the leak got worse, so they switched out the holding tank for our well. Then they decided that the leak was coming from inside the wall.
