Dave had been highly recommended by a friend, and we were impressed with his ideas when we were discussing the project. However, we were disappointed when he never got back to us with an estimate and didn't return our calls.

We were completely pleased with the work provided by Dave Darrow of Darrow Quality Remodeling LLC and with the outcome of our new kitchen. When we approached Dave for an estimate we already had a design plan for the new kitchen and had already identified a cabinet style and preferred cabinet supplier. Dave agreed to work with the design provided and for us to supply the cabinets. At the beginning of the project he met face-to-face with our designer at our home to review the plan. During the project he transformed our plan into reality, exactly as we had imagined it. Dave outlined a schedule for 4 week completion. He personally did all of the work himself except for the measurement and installation of the counter-tops and 3 days in which he brought an assistant to help with the demolition and wiring work. Dave showed up on time every day as promised during the duration of the project. He gave us his full attention throughout the project. He was easily accessible by phone. He personally performed or supervised every aspect of the job. He exhibited a great attention to detail throughout the project. During the work Dave had to deal with a few surprises. In each case he consulted us on our options and advised the best way to proceed. The first surprise was the discovery of several wires which had been installed in an unexpected location when the house was built. To move them would have been an expensive addition to the project. Instead, Dave suggested a simple change to our cabinetry design which provided a safe and effective solution to the problem. Dave also built two small cabinet sections himself, due to the fact that the needed size wasn't available from the manufacturer. The quality and craftsmanship of Dave's cabinet sections was very good and his cabinet sections are a perfect match to the rest of the kitchen. He did an outstanding job with the flooring and floor tile installation as well. He even added two extra 20A circuits in our cellar while he was running the wire to the area. The project took one extra week to complete due to a delay in the measurement and fabrication of our counter-tops. The delay was the result of a scheduling problem with the quartz supplier due to high seasonal demand and was not the fault of Darrow Quality Remodeling. The project was completed at a cost within $500 of original estimate. The added cost was due to additional light fixtures, window & door moulding, and USB electrical receptacle that my wife and I added to the project after it began. We are very happy with our kitchen and with the service provided by Darrow Quality Remodeling. We would not hesitate to ask Dave to do future projects for us, and he has earned our highest recommendation.
