Although the reviews were slightly lower, I hired Gray and Son because the other company that was to give an estimate never showed or called to cancel. Communication from Kay in the office was top notch, and Clarence kept everything moving along, in spite of a little rain delay. The new walk was leveled nicer than the original! 10/10 would hire again!

The whole process was painless and they were very informative of all my options and helped me with staying within my budget. The whole experience left me with a relief that I hired the right contractor.

It went smoothly and very happy with their work. The owner called me back immediately when I have questions. It's a pleasure working with these people.

I hired Gray and Sons to replace 208 feet of sidewalk around a home I own near UC. The city mandated that I replace the broken sidewalk blocks that border my corner property and quoted me an outrageous price to have them do it. I contacted Gray and Sons and Clarence Gray did the entire 208 ft as well as replace my 125 year old front steps for less money and better quality. I have since hired him to replace a driveway at a house I own in Mt. Washington as well as repair a 50 ft long stockade fence and repair my cracked concrete front porch. He is also replacing the front steps and some of the sidewalk on my personal residence. I would highly recommend Gray & Sons for your concrete projects or any other renovation or remodeling work. Clarence provides a broad set of construction services.

We are so happy with our new patio and sidewalk. Grey and Son exceded our expectations and went above and beyond to make this area so perfect for our family. We love spending time on the patio. They were quick and efficient. I would highly recommend. Thank you Grey and Son!

Loved the driveway and the walk! However, there was concrete slopped all over the brick on the front of the home where the porch meets the front door. We called Clarence Gray and he said he would be out to clean it. After 5 months, we sent him a fax reminding him that the concrete was still not cleaned up with accompanying photos. Fast forward to many calls to him with repeated promises, and 8 years, when we noticed water seeping into our foundation wall directly under the front porch. Contractors found a crushed drain pipe from overpour from the porch and sidewalk installation. We sent Clarence Gray a certified letter with photos requesting the broken tile drain be replaced, and the crack in the foundation be repaired at Gray and Son's expense. He finally called and said he would not make the repairs, as it had been 8 years. We told him we took action as soon as we noticed the water seepage; and that the plumber said it could take years to seep into the foundation wall. He still did nothing.

If Roger Gray is part of this organization, run, don't just walk away. He broke dozens of promises to complete the work, drug it out from late July to Thanksgiving, rarely returned phone calls, destroyed my yard, tried to convince me that yellow and red were the same colors, and never sealed the finished product. If this is not Roger, then I have no experience with this company but Roger was based at the time in the same area.

The owner Clarence was very good at telling us what would look good and how they would do it. We had to pay half of the invoice up front with no work done. We did not hear anything from them for about two weeks so I tried calling Clarence and he could not be reached. Two weeks later still no contact or response from him, the whole time his receptionist is saying they will be out this week. Basically played this game with them for the whole month of June and July. They finally come out end of July and what Clarence said they were going to do and what we thought was going to be done were pretty different. Bottom line was he did what we thought we were going to get and paid about $1500 more. The work was very nice but the hassle and headache we had to go through for two months was frustrating. We basically were in limbo the whole summer and had to cancel vacation and graduation party waiting for them to show up.

Mainly because of price, we decided to use another contractor. In addition, the sales rep did not seem very interested in the job. He seemed to be in a hurry and was not very willing to take extra time to answer my questions while at my house to provide an estimate. I was concerned for how responsive he would be if issues came up during the job. Estimated cost was $8,900.

They led me to believe the liner would not need to be taken out. When their worker came, he said I needed a new liner and pool, and they just happened to have the pool guy with him. The concrete is now cracking and it is not a year old.

GRAY AND CONSTRUCTION WAS A HORRIBLE COMPANY TO HIRE TO DO SERVICE. THEY DID NOT SHOW UP ON TIME, THEY DID NOT RESPECT MY REQUESTS, AND THEY WERE JUST RUDE AND IRRESPONSIBLE.

The company provided good workmanship on the concrete flat work. Restoration of damage to the grassed area of the lawn was somewhat less than desired.

I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH GRAY AND SONS. CLARENCE CAME TO MY HOME TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND WAS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE WAS HIGHER ONLY BECAUSE I DECIDED TO HAVE THE WORK STAMPED AND STAINED. HIS CREW JUST FINISHED THE JOB AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THEY CLEANED THE JOB SITE WELL, SAVED THE STONES FROM A DECORATIVE WALL FOR RE-USE, AND WERE PROFESSIONAL THROUGHOUT. THEY EVEN PUT DOWN GRASS SEED AND STRAW AROUND THE WORK AREA WHICH I WASN'T EXPECTING. THE ONLY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I HAVE WAS THAT I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE ON THE SCHEDULE IN 2-3 WEEKS. AT THE END OF THE 3 WEEKS I CALLED THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE BEHIND IN SCHEDULING. I WAS THEN PUT ON THE SCHEDULE FOR A WEEK OUT.

DEVELOPED CRACK IN THE CONCRETE SHORTLY AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. IT TOOK THEM CLOSE TO A YEAR TO RETURN AND PATCH THE CRACK. THE WORK DONE WAS BAD, THE CRACK IS STILL OBVIOUS AND THE CONCRETE IS BEGINNING TO DETERIORATE AROUND THIS CRACK.
