They did an excellent job! I was very pleased with the owner who came out and gave me a quote. It was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. On the day they were doing the work, 4 young men arrived--all very nice and with very good manners. They did a professional job cutting down all of the limbs, did a phenomenal job cleaning up afterwards, and did it for what I thought was a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them again! This business is very nice. I requested a quote and they called, came out, and presented me with a quote that was in writing and very affordable. I set a time to get the work done and there was a scheduling error, but it was rescheduled. The guys that cut the trees down were very nice and polite. They answered questions I had. I plan on hiring them again to cut down a big ash tree.

Brian and his crew are fantastic! Brian was out to give me a quote and was able to start work shortly after I gave it the thumbs up. The work they did was perfect, they respected my property and didn’t damage anything. Clean up was great, they cut up fire wood for us and took what we didn’t want, the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again. The only down side is when you call it took awhile for them to get back to you however they will get back with you so have patience, and they do an amazing job, if you decide to hire them they will do what they say, I just think Brian needs a secretary. Lol. I would definitely recommend this business!

This was our second or third time using them, and everything turned out well. The company employs a certified arborist to do the actual trimming, no debris was left behind, and no damage occurred while the work was being completed.

Brian could use a secretary to help with scheduling, but once he returned the initial phone call, he was excellent in every way. His men did a great job cutting out all the dead wood (and there was a lot of it) and with the clean up. They took their time & were professional is every way. I've already scheduled B & B for another job.

On 6-11-2014, I purchased a Deal for the provider's service via Angie's List. From the purchase date thru 6-19-2014 there was no communication from the contractor. On 6-20-2014, I sent an email asking if it was possible to schedule a time for this work to be done. On 6-22-2014, I sent another email stating that we had hoped for a reply and that there was a limited window of time for this work to be done. A full day later, that being 6-23-2014, there remains no response. Just short of two full weeks, two personal emails asking to schedule a time and zero communication from the provider! NOTE: Your question above "Approximate date of service" cannot be answered for obvious reasons.

They did a great job removing the trees and cleaning up the mess afterwards. I would definitely use them again and refer them to others.

It took a few days to get a response after I left a message. They came out and gave me a quota. I went ahead and hired them, and the guy showed up the next day, removing exactly what was agreed to. Some debris was left over. The estimator then came back the following day, I presumed to check out whether the work was done satisfactorily, but he actually was asking for payment, which I've never experienced with any other vendor. Although I prefer to pay with a credit card, he claimed he forgot the credit card machine to run the transaction, so I had to pay by check. I guess this saved me the price of a stamp for mailing in a payment, but I found it highly irregular.

They showed up on time. They were professional, really quite, and did the job in the amount of time that was quoted. The cleanup was perfect as well.

Brian came and gave us a quote and discounted if we agreed right away to his bid. (Great IDEA!). This probably saves him a time and money too. Fair price and great service for sure. He was very professional and polite when he came to our door. Brian and his crew of 4 guys showed up about 9am about a week after we got the quote. They really busted their bums and worked hard and efficient. They finished around 1-1:30pm. They really did a professional job and cleaned up after themselves. Hauled away all of the wood. I didn't want the wood because I don't have a place for it. They had a lift on their truck to cut down the tree and used special machine for the stump grinding. They really dug deep and you can't even tell there was a huge maple tree there at one time. They also used the stump grinder on our shrubbery stumps that they removed. I have already recommended him to a few family members. I love to recommend contractors, especially when they are upfront, fair and professional. Great job for sure. It went very well. After missing Brian's initial return phone call to set up an estimate, we communicated by text, which was very convenient. As this is a rental property we are rehabbing and I am not always there and live 15-20 minutes away, Brian coordinated the estimate around my schedule as we had a lot of work to be done and I needed to be there to point to what stays and what goes. We talked through options for reclaiming the landscape in a cost-effective manner (we were fine with stumps remaining, as we can maintain them from here on out). It was so overgrown, that if i had had the budget, I would have had them chop down every last tree to start with a clean slate. That was not an option from a cost standpoint, but Brian was great at suggesting limb removal of a larger tree ($50 versus $250 for the entire tree) and talking through what should stay and what should go, and then gave me a line item estimate for all the work we were looking at doing. I loved having the line item estimate, which he stated he always does, so that the customer can pick and choose what may be in the budget to go ahead with, and what to hold off on. Some companies, it is pulling teeth to get them to do a line item estimate, and it makes it harder to decide what to do and what not to do, if everything is not in the budget at that point. Brian gets that not every customer can do everything on the estimate all at once every time, and he makes it clear and convenient to see what you are getting done, and how much it will be, so you can prioritize what to do. The day they came out he got the crew started in the a.m. I came to the property a little later in the a.m. and stayed all day doing other things on the property. I was very pleased with the crew - the guys worked hard, and were pleasant and polite, and checked in at a few points to make sure everything was coming out they way I wanted it. They cleaned up the site, and they were also very polite talking with our elderly neighbor who came out at one point. They clearly took pride in a job well done, and in making sure that the customer is satisfied. I am very happy with the results - this property was, at one time, nicely landscaped and planted with a nice garden, and we are well on our way back to that. I am please with the selections on what to keep and what to get rid of. Brian called the next morning to make sure I was pleased, and then came over to our home, 20 minutes away, to estimate for removal of a large Verbena bush - cutting down and stump grinding. We scheduled that service for next week. His estimates for both properties were competitive, and he comes across as a solid, hard-working businessman who cares about doing a good job at a fair price, and making sure the customer is satisfied. This is the company I will now always call for tree work.

They were referred to me by my neighbor. I just went through Angie's List to find their ratings. It was a pretty big tree and 8 Australian pine trees. They were very good. They were very responsive.

Brian is one of the most honest and honorable tree professionals I have ever worked with. We own a home in North Avondale in the middle of an old forest and have had numerous occasions to use local tree services over the past 30 years. This is the first time I have used B&B but I will always call on them first in the future. Brian gave us a fair price, fast service, and the expertise we were looking for. When his crew had a problem with one of the trees that could not have been anticipated, Brian immediately expressed his commitment to making it right and took care of the problem at his own expense. He left our place looking better than it did before he started the job. Best of all, I never for one moment doubted he was a man of his word and he proved me right.

They were polite over the phone and when giving the estimate, and I appreciated the discount they offered to Angie's List members. However, their estimate for taking the tree down (which is what we decided to do) was one of the most expensive - about a thousand dollars more than the next lowest estimate. Needless to say, we chose to use another company whose estimate better fit our budget.

I made an appointment for the worker to meet at the house to review the work that needed to be done. He answered my questions about the tree trimming. He said he would be back in a week or so to do the work. He was not back that quickly, however. When I called, he explained that he was behind schedule due to bad weather and apologized for not notifying me. He returned the following week and did all of the work, then called me a day or two later to be sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

Overall, the entire experience was great! I called B&B Queen City Tree Service for an estimate of the work I needed to be done, and the owner Brian answered and set up a time to come to my property. He arrived promptly and gave me an estimate of the actual work I needed, and offered to remove the remaining portion of a tree that had fallen in my yard. B&B Queen City Tree Service also offered a 12% off coupon, which he acknowledged on the spot. He told me it would be 3 weeks or so before the work would be done. When the crew actually did the work, Brian called and left a message, but the family was out-of-town. When we returned home pulling up to the house, my family acknowledged immediately that the work was done...it was so transparent that I didn't notice any change to the outside of the house. It was confirmed when I listened to my answering service. I was happy with the work that was done. The pricing was similar to a quote I received from another tree service, however, the price for the trimming over my residence was significantly lower, and the extra tidbits of removing the fallen tree residual made the difference.

They are very clean, neat and professional at what they do. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They did a fantastic job - they gave a very well proced estimate, and did thorough fantastic work. A friend of mine wanted the firewood from the tree they chopped up, and they even helped im load his truck.

I got a free estimate from Brian for having 2 trees removed and one tree trimmed (a neighbor's tree that was hanging over our swimming pool). After reviewing the estimate, I decided to split the work over two seasons, having the tree trimming done now and the tree removals done in the winter. Dan, Rodney, and Freddy came today to do the tree trimming. They were efficient and professional. The tree was in my neighbor's yard and hanging over our pool. Our neighbor asked if they could trim two other trees on her property while they were there and they were nice enough add that to the job. As they were completing the job, they asked how it looked. I asked them to trim a few extra branches to improve the shape of the tree and they obliged. They disposed of all the branches in the wood chipper, swept up all the debris, and hauled it all away. I plan on having them back this winter to remove two other large trees. Great company!
