Description of Work: They installed 2 windows in one upstairs bedroom. They carefully cleared out the old insulating materials, squared up the opening, answered my questions, and both windows look fantastic. In addition, I later called the office to ask what finish was used, so I could match it on some other woodwork, and they were kind enough to find out for me. I think they are great, and plan to use them when I replace the windows in the other upstairs bedroom. The windows they installed still look great and glide smoothly.

Description of Work: Arch Window and Door was an excellent company. They were very professional, efficient and responsive from first call to work completion. The installers were courteous and knew their job. The work cost between 3 and 4 thousand dollars and was completed in the fall of 2012 to the best of my recollection. The front entrance door and surrounding framing as well as the slider off my family room are gorgeous and look as incredible now as they did on the day they were installed. I plan to call them for my next door project.

Description of Work: Arch design replaced all the windows in my home with Andersen windows and replaced front door with wood-look fiberglass door. Russell, co-owner, was very responsive and worked hard to meet our needs and goals for improving the appearance of our home. The crew that performed installation was courteous,fast and cleaned up afterward. This company performed a lot of extra touches in woodwork and trim that other companies didn't offer. We remain very pleased.

Description of Work: Bought a Deal from Angie's List for out back door. We spent $1800.00 plus for the back door. I ordered Emtek hardware through Arch to match the front door. After they installed the door and went to put the hardware on, I informed the installer that the fixtures were not what I ordered. Now the door is predrilled for the wrong hardware and the hardware I selected will not fit. So I offered to keep the hardware if they added a back plate to the current hardware. I didn't pay for the Emtek hardware of over $300.00, but paid the rest of the door off with the belief they would make it right. By keeping the current hardware, they wouldn't have to change out the whole door. A loss for Arch. I called and emailed, the sales person said he would email the selection for back plates. I still have not received any emails from Arch. The finish is not very nice. The factory finish on my ThermaTru front door is much harder. Feels almost baked on. The finish they put on this door is already scratched. The sales person said h lost my email. He assured me they would make the finish right and the door knobs right. I have been waiting for them to make it right before I did this review. But I am getting frustrated that there is no follow through.

Description of Work: They put a whole new window in our brick wall. They trimmed it and it turned out beautiful. They were fantastic. The trim work was excellent and the servicemen were excellent. We just loved it. We would certainly use them again.

Our first meeting was with Don, he was great to work with, he was courteous and friendly, more importantly, he was precise in determining our needs for replacement windows. His order specs were done right the first time. Once the new windows arrived at Arch Design, their office called to schedule the installation, they were even flexible in re-scheduling installation on a good-weather day. The installation went smoothly, they were professional, trustworthy, careful, and really did a quality job for us. Like most people, we are particular about our home, and we would use them again.
Description of Work: Installed 22 new Andersen high performance windows in our 20 year old custom home south of Dayton.

My only reason for not using them at at time was that they were located far from my home (which was not a problem for them, but I wanted someone more "local"). All in all, I wish I would have chosen Arch to replace my entry door.

+ 0 moreOverall, this project went well and I'd recommend using Arch Design Window Door Company. The project: I bought an Andersen sliding glass door and window from them, which they installed. They had a special running that I saw in Money Mailer that brought the cost down about $400, so I was happy about that. Door and window were installed in one day. The only issue was there was some confusion on both ends about if the sliding glass door was to be recessed from the interior or not and whether new flashing was included in bid, and there was some glass debris left at the install site (though the installers had tried to clean it up the best that they could) - either way, after I e-mailed my concerns, they came back within a few weeks and re-installed the sliding glass door and installed the flashing free of charge (the deal was that I bought the flashing myself, which is fine because I wanted matching colors). So, it was a good experience - good price and any issues that I raised were resolved (which is a good thing), I would use them again.
Description of Work: Purchase and install rear sliding glass door and large window.

The pricing was good and they weren?t a lot more than anyone else. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

+ -1 moreThe owner formerly worked for somebody else and then he went on his own. We were one of his first customers. We had dealt with him before. He was very responsive and if there were any little things that were wrong he immediately remedied them and checked up on the work while it was being done. I couldn't have been happier. They needed a load-bearing architect out here to help design the windows. I cannot tell the price because it was part of the remodel, so I don't know how much the windows were. We do a lot of research before we pick anybody so by the time we get somebody we are usually pretty happy with them.
Description of Work: The window and door company came out and installed ten windows of which a lot of them were multiple windows.
