Chris was able to come out and provide a quote very quickly. Quote was very reasonable and met our expectations. Work was easy to schedule. The painting crew was prompt, courteous, fast, and they did a GREAT job. We did not find any paint imperfections on any wall, even though it was a good-sized job. I would recommend Tri State Painting for any sized job, and I will be using them again on future projects.

My mom moved to a retirement home and we had to get her house up for sale. Chris rearranged his schedule to get this job done quickly. He had many good ideas so we only had to paint the minimum spots which saved us money. Everything blended seamlessly. He buys the paint, and takes care of everything from start to finish.

We rate them a 10 out of 10. Excellent price for the work performed. They also go the extra mile. We paid to have the outside of the front door re-stained. I asked Chris, the owner, if he could do the inside also to make it look good. He did the extra work at no charge. He was interested in the overall look also. A pleasure to be around a craftsman who cares!

Chris and his team did a very nice job and were available on relatively short notice. The interior job of removing wallpaper was a little more difficult than they'd originally thought it would be, but they worked with me to minimize the cost and maximize the finished look. There were some minor communication issues, but ultimately the job was finished pretty quickly and the finished work is excellent. Would recommend or use again.

Several years ago we hired Chris to remove wall paper and paint in a bathroom and dining area. He did the work himself and we were very pleased with the job that he did. On this particular job he had his employees come to do the wall paper removal and paint. They did a good job of removing the wall paper. They did not do a very good job with the paint on the walls and the trim work. Fortunately, when we told Chris that we were not satisfied, he came back and repainted and fixed everything himself.. He came back and did it right. I think if he had followed up daily it might have turned out differently.

Tri-State Painting was wonderful. I had a ceiling crack that needed to be repaired before we put our house on the market. Kris was able to match the paint with the rest of the ceiling (very hard to do) so that we could avoid having to paint the entire ceiling in the upper story of the house. He was quick, efficient and was able to come on short notice. The work itself was excellent, I was surprised at how perfect it looks. He was even able to take care of an old water stain that a previous painter had tried unsuccessfully to cover. The price was very reasonable for the work performed, everyone was responsive and very nice, courteous and helpful. I would definitely use Tri State Painting again, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Arrived on time, finished about when I thought they would. Clean up was great. Left nothing behind.

We have had Chris do work for us previously. As before he was prompt, courteous, and very professional. He is an efficient worker and very particular about his work.

Had to call to receive estimate after 1 week with no response.. Received estimate and we called and left message that we wanted them to do the work. And then NOTHING. Guess he did not want the job afterall. We would call to see if he really wanted to do the work, but if this is the customer service that we receive before he receives any payment, what would it be after???

(NOTE: This review is later than I would have liked due to a relocation and job change, which didn't allow me the opportunity to complete the review more timely. It in no way is a reflection upon the work that Tri-State Painting provided as we were very pleased with the job that they did.) In mid-June we decided to place our home on the market and were seeking a company to freshen up the interior paint and also to repaint all of the exterior. We consulted with a number of companies before settling on Tri-State Painting. During the initial consultation with Chris, I was pleased with his can-do attitude, especially since we were on a time line in order to meet an early July date to place our home on the market. The quote that was provided was very competitive with the other quotes I had received, but ultimately, it was the impression I had of Chris when we first met and the fact that he could meet our time line that influenced me to select them. The work commenced on the date that was agreed upon and the team with Tri-State Painting quickly went to work on the interior and exterior painting. The work was accomplished in a very timely fashion and the attention to detail was very good. Overall, we were very pleased with the work that the entire team performed and also found them to be neat and tidy in their work. They were very conscientious to ensure that our furniture and personal items were protected during the process and at the end of the day, they cleaned up after themselves leaving our home in good order. Chris was on the job quite frequently, doing much of the painting himself and also ensuring that we were pleased with the job that was done. Part way through the job, we offered to pay Chris for the work that had been done (interior), but he stated that he did not accept payment until the job was complete and we were satisfied all aspects of the job. Once the job was complete, we found a couple of items that needed follow-up attention and Chris was again very responsive to addressing the issues. As before, he would not accept payment for the final job until we were completely satisfied. That was quite different from what I have experienced with other contractors, but I must comment Chris for running his business that way. It is actually quite refreshing in this day and age. Tri-State Painting met our time line and we were able to place our home on the market on our planned date. We were very pleased with the work that they had performed and we received many good comments on the appearance of the home during the Open House showings and other showings.

Arrived exactly when they said they would, got started and had everything done and cleaned up in 5 hours! Very professional and friendly! Cost was very competitive I plan on using them in the future!.

Chris and his crew arrived on-time and were extremely courteous and professional. Chris is very particular and made sure the job was completed to my liking. Double checked everything he and his crew completed and if anything did not look perfect, he fixed it immediately. Was also very clean and tidy. My home was left just as clean as before he arrived. Will definitely use Tri-State Painting again and would recommend to friends and family.

This is the second time I have used Tri - State Painting. Chris and his crew just finished a large interior portion of my home and everything looks great! I really appreciate the color consultation I received to help me pick just the right colors for my home. Not only was the price good but the work was great as well. The crew performed neat work and arrived everyday on time. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have work done at their home or business. I know that I will use Tri- State Painting again for all my painting needs.

Quote was to be emailed to me. I have never received the quote. Called about a week after he was on site reviewing the job and left a message but never received a response. Will not use. No follow through. While he appeared professional in the beginning, the grade reflects the lack of follow up and provision of a quote whcih is part of professionalism in my book. Too bad. Seemed nice.

They were very prompt and did not waste any time! They were also neat in their work, Chris even suggested turning off the furnace fan and used a shopvac while he sanded to minimize dust throughout the house. As I said before, Chris is very particular -- they cleaned off old paint from the finished woodwork before caulking the baseboards, he inspected every wall and repaired any flaw, he even went back and repaired nail pops he noticed after he had already painted the ceiling. Because they finished late in the evening, the back hallway was difficult to see. Chris came back a few days later and touched up the few spots that weren't covered. Everything looks great! After seeing the work he did for us our daughter has contracted with Chris to do interior painting on her house.

Overall great experience. Chris came on time to inspect the paint job, e-mailed the estimate in a reasonable time. He clearly showed the labor vs paint cost. I reviewed the paint and suggested using a higher quality paint which he agreed to. He came on site with the team at the agreed time and spent the right amount of time getting the job moving and assuring the quality.

Called for estimate. He arrived about 10 minutes late, but did call and say he was on the way. Very professional in reviewing areas I want painted. Said he would email me an estimate later that day (Friday). Didn't receive, waited until later Monday to call - left message. In message, also game him my mailing address. Never heard from him again. Not sure what happened! UPDATE: 10/20/2010. Recevied message *today* that email was sent twice - but must have gotten blocked by spam filter. (He should have called me after the first message I left him.) Verbal quote in voice mail message was reasonable, however, I already contracted with another painter.

They were a little smaller than some of the other ones and I like that they were personal. The same guys came every day to paint.

Everything went great. They did the job in the amount of time they had alloted. They stayed on schedule and stayed with the original price they had quoted. I had received 3 estimates and this company had the lowest price.

We were very impressed with the work and how fast they completed the job. The first day was spent patching all walls in the classrooms and hallway. The second day the crew finished 3/4 of the job. On the last day they had finished within a few hours. The entire job was finished a day earlier than the bid stated. They used eco-friendly low odor paint since we still had students in other parts of the building. We would recommend and plan on using again.

When we bought our new house it was a bank repo and we really needed a reasonable price on painting and wall paper removal because we needed it in almost every room. The decor in this house we hideous. This was the best company we could find. They were very professional, courteous, and clean. They did a great job and when they were done, everything was put back in it's place as if they had never been there. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your next project.
