I was looking for a new heating and air company to service my furnace prior to the winter season. My prior service company said they were booked for the next 3 weeks but would try to get me in sooner if there were any cancellations. I looked on Angie's list to see if there was anyone that could come out sooner. I noticed Preferred Home Comfort was located in Fairfield and thought I would give them a call. I spoke with Rod (the owner) and scheduled a appointment the next day. Rod showed up right on time. He was very personable and you could tell he was very knowledgable with heating and air systems. He did a very thorough inspection and showed me some things that should have been cleaned out that the last company failed to do. Rod offered me a 10% senior discount without me asking. I will be recommending them to all my family and friends.

The tech arrived right on time and worked unobtrusively to service the gas furnaces. He even climbed up on the roof to check the air conditioner even though that wasn't part of the winter check-up. He did that because we told him that we had earlier noticed the A/C wasn't coming on when we put the thermostat on the Cool setting. He found that a connection wasn't being made, tapped it, and it snapped into place. He said the piece would need to be replaced but said we could wait until Spring. He was polite and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
