Description of Work: Peru was the low bidder to cut down a dead Ash tree for me. One other company bid much higher, and a third company refused to bid the job because they said dead ash trees are hazardous. Peru was fast at getting back to me on a quote, but it did take several weeks for them to do the job once I gave them the go ahead. That may have been because it was not a full day's work for them, and they had to fit it in around other bigger jobs. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I would highly recommend this company-they arrived at the promised time and did an excellent job. The cleaned up every tiny piece of limb/leaves-the yard was spotless when they left. They even moved some yard decorations to ensure nothing was damaged. The tree looks great!

Description of Work: Purchased their services through Angie's List. Had them trim the dead branches off one tree and cut down another tree that had died. They did the work requested and then cleaned up the mess. This included blowing the sawdust off our driveway. Will recommend.

Description of Work: Peru Tree Service removed 6 small scrub trees in the back yard and trimmed a large dogwood tree in the front yard. They carefully raked the area in which they worked to remove all debris. I had a coupon for which I paid $200.00 for $400.00 worth of tree work. |There was an additional charge of $150.00 plus tax. The workers were dressed in uniforms with shirts displaying the Peru Service Logo. They were respectful, courteous and professional. I will be rehiring them to remove a tree in my front yard in the Fall.

Description of Work: This was a HUGE 3-day job: 17 trees (mostly Ash)were taken down and all debris was removed. Five of the trees had to be removed "by hand" and dragged out using a Bobcat. Although a pathway had to be cleared for the Bobcat, the crew took care to minimize the amount of damage to our wooded lot. The estimate was very reasonable considering the size of the job. The crew was professional and I liked that the owner was on site at all times and definitely managed the project. While huge pieces of tree trunk wee loaded and pushed down the drive way, one garage door was slightly damaged. It was minimal considering the difficulty of the overall project. Jesus Izquierdo, the owner, was very apologetic and agreed to deduct the cost of repairs from the bill after the company of my choosing provided an estimate. I cannot say enough nice things about this company. I feel I have finally found a tree company I can trust. MR

They did not provide it as scheduled so I had to call the office and request it again. They did send it shortly thereafter but it was the certificate for workers comp. What I was really interested in was their liability insurance. That never arrived. Perhaps it was miscommunication on either or both or our parts. |Overall, good service.

Description of Work: I didn't receive a written response from Peru Tree Service within the time frame promised. I emailed them requesting a date of service. They asked for my phone number and a time to stop by to look at the project. I work from home and suggested they let me know a convenient date by email (rather than play phone tag). I received an email the day before the visit indicating that Ethan would stop by between 10 and 2 PM and would phone in advance. About 1:50, he called saying he would arrive in 15 minutes. He took a look at ~ 20 foot dead pine tree that needed to be cut and removed, as well as the one that I had cut and removed. He looked around and suggested cutting two other dead trees on the HOA property. I clarified out that this is not my responsibility but if he had time, getting the other dead trees taken care of would be great. We also discussed trimming a small tree and mulching, which I had planned to do. He commented on some mulching work that I had done in another part of the yard. He wrote up an order for $600, subtracting the paid voucher. I explained that I am only interested in the deal, not everything on my wish list. He didn't accept this or make a counter-offer. I said I would like a refund of the deal and would take care of the work myself. He went to his truck and left. He called by phone a few minutes later, which is unprofessional, as I had set aside time to discuss the project in person. To keep everything documented, I sent him an email (via Angie's list) confirming the cancellation of the deal and asked for a prompt refund. I have not received a response to my email of 4/16. One of the reasons I like to work with Angie's list is that the work is paid and agreed upon in advance (# of men and # of hours) and there is no need to get multiple estimates or negotiate. It is understood that additional work is by mutual agreement and billed separately. The problem with the Peru tree service is that the deal is so vague that they can make it whatever they want. It turns out the deal was just a down payment on the work as he wanted me to authorize a second deal. I have no desire to work with this provider.
