Peru's Tree Service

Overall everything was excellent. They were on time, courteous, easy to reach and responsive to questions and changes. The pruning job was beautiful. They cleaned up everything after they finished. My only complaint is that they let a branch from the tree they were cutting down fall on an ornimental spruce bush in our back yard. This destroyed a large part of the bush. They told us it would take about 2 years to grow back to its previous condition. I wish they had been a bit more careful.

It went very well. They were prompt and courteous. The only issue was that they didn't restore some things in the yard that they dismantled in order to remove some things. My husband had to put it back together. Overall, they were very good and very reasonably priced.

It went very well. Two men came to my house on the day they were scheduled. They spoke with me briefly about the job and went right to work. They did a great job. Removed all the debris and left. Both men were very polite and conscientious about their work. They did an excellent job.

It was a little difficult to understand the owner's accent. I hung up on him thinking it was a prank call, but he was very patient and called back. The work was done beyond my expectations.

They were very professional from start to finish in this process. They were very prompt in coming out to give an estimate. They actually discussed everything with my husband about the work that needed done and it would be about 3 week before they could get the project on their schedule. Everything they did looks wonderful and I am extremely happy that they cleaned up the yard after they were done working. I would gladly use them again for any future tree work.

I imagine my mixed ratings and the fact that I checked "Yes' to the question 'Would I use this company again appear confusing. They did a great job on the trees and cleaned up not only those messes but some I had made doing some trimming of my own. Having said that, the communication we shared was not good. Half of my calls weren't returned initially. When they finally came out and left an estimate, it was more than I expected. I called and left a message stating I couldn't afford to do both trees and told them to trim just an Ash near the house. When I came home after they'd done the work, both trees were trimmed (very well) and I'd been billed for both. We recently came to terms: I agreed to pay the entire bill but in 2 installments.

The final cost of all the work that needed to be done was far too expensive, so we went with another company.

Their service, price, and professionalism was better than we expected. Steve and his crew were courteous and explained in detail their plan prior to executing the work. We were very pleased with the cleanup provided, and will certainly have them back as the need arises!

Steve, Peru Tree Service, said an estimate would be made October 3 or 4, 2012. I stayed home both days, but no one came to do an estimate. I called and was informed an estimate would be done on October 6, 2012. On October 6, I had my house front door open and noticed an individual in his car was near the tree to be cut down. Suddenly the car went down the street, turned around, and stopped at my mail box, where a man was quickly putting something in the mail box. I ran to the mail box. The man gave me an estimate of $426.00 to cut down the tree. I said ok and said I wanted to order the service. The man said that will come later and drove off. Subsequently, I received a request for payment of $426.00 dated October 9, 2012. At that time, I did not send payment, because no work had been done and no date was proposed as to when the work would be completed. On about October 23, 2012, a neighbor asked me who cut down the tree the prior week. I had not noticed the tree had been cut down. I was disappointed that Peru Tree Service failed to notify me when the tree was to be cut down, so that I could have been there. Peru Tree Service failed to leave any paperwork showing the work had been done. On October 23 and 25, 2012, I telephoned Peru Tree Services' answering service requesting confirmation they had cut the tree down, so that I could make payment. My telephone calls were not confirmed by Peru Tree Service. Because of the above, I name this company the stealth tree service, and will not use this company again. I paid $426.00 for one tree cut down and hauled away. No stump grinding. I am never gone more than three hours, so Peru Tree Service must have done this job in less than three hours. $426.00 is too much for less than three hours work. The tree was only about twenty-five feet tall, and half the tree was already gone and hauled away by me or someone else before the work by Peru Tree Service began. In 2008, another tree company cut down several trees, ground stumps, removed roots, and trimmed my other trees for $846.68. That company spent all day at my house. Therefore, I believe The $426.00 charge by Peru Tree Service was excessive.

The guy that came out to do the estimate was nice, but unfortunately Peru's has some bad policies or miscommunication with Angies list. They wasted my $99 and my time. Not happy.

I was satisfied with the work they did. Left yard clean. eThe only complaint is they do not schedule appointments. They call right before they come out. Would have rather to set an appointment so I know I would be there when they came.

Everything went well. They showed up on time and were very precise in their work. We were pleased. They cut the pine tree back and made sure the limbs did not continue to drape over my neighbor's driveway, and also cut them away from my roof. They did everything they promised and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased with the job they did. I would definitely hire them again.

Overall we were pleased with the work.

Peru Tree Service called before coming. They pruned and trimmed all our trees. It was a very professional job. All debris was completely removed. I would definitely use them again.

The man that did proposal made several and times and kept delaying-same with service.

When I called for an estimate, they were quite responsive, with a full estimate completed within 48 hours. However, they don't actually commit to a service date. They said it would be within 2 weeks. I called a month later and they in no-way apologized. The person simply said they would try (again) to be there within two weeks. They completed the work and I paid them.

They were courteous, cleaned up well and did a good job.

I bought an Angie's List "Big Deal" for $99.00 to have $200 worth of work performed. I intended to use the coupon towards the removal of 3 small tree stumps. I received a quote from 2 other companies for $300 for this job. Peru's Tree Service quoted me $450 for the same job, no additional work or services included. So even with my "Big Deal" coupon, I would spend more with Peru's than with other similarly rated vendors on Angie's List. I scheduled Peru's to come out and grind one stump (for the $200). No one showed up, no one called me to reschedule. I called Peru's and asked for a refund.

Got to us earlier than originally scheduled, very timely, courteous, knowledgeable. Left yard clean. Would recommend.

Overall it was a very good experience. The price seemed a little high but I did not get other estimates. I used them because of the coupon and AL recommendation. Clean up was very good but they forgot to move back some patio furniture that they had moved.

I called and asked them how much I would get for $200 and they were very vague. When they came out they told me that their hourly rate was $350 an hour. The coupon barely covers half an hour's worth of service, and f they had told me that the hourly rate was that high, I would never have bought the coupon.

Needed trees removed from along a fence in my yard. Called and got an estimate within 2 days. Called and scheduled work and job was done in 2 weeks. All work was done on the same day. Steve and Jesus were very easy to work with. They were both very professional and true to their word. They called the night before they were going to come and were very respectful. They worked around a split rail fence and were very careful. Outstanding work for a great price, I would definitely use them again.

I first contacted Peru when they offered a discount coupon. I had been very concerned about some large, dead trees in my yard. When I finally called them, they were prompt in their response, very professional and courteous. I would use them again.

They called me to let me know that they were going to closed for a certain amount of time and did I want something done before that. They came out and quoted a competitive price for a very large oak tree. We scheduled the job. It was done on time and so well that they impressed my neighbors who had used different companies for their trees. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

It went very well. They brought in the appropriate amount of equipment and guys to do the work. I spent a little time reviewing the original plan with them and spot checked as they did the work. They checked with us when trimming the tree close to the house to make sure we were satisfied. They did a good clean up after the work was completed. Steve was very attentive to the details to make sure we were satisfied with the job.
